Recently, glamour model Choi Eun Jung made a statement that sent shockwaves through the industry saying, "10-19 are the perfect ages to reveal a lot of skin." This shocking comment came after a previous statement by the model, "Women who are getting on in age and wear bikinis are disgusting."
The model shared these views on tvN's Baek Ji Yeon's End Debate Season 2, while the guests shared their views on the 10-19 age range, it was these comments by Choi Eun Jung that got people talking.
Having been a Korean Gravia model in high school, the model felt she should defend the debate topic with the comment, "Since the sexy concept is the trend, the young idols are carrying it out. Is it really necessary to look at all this from a negative perspective?"
This is a matter that has stirred lots of debate but like I said, not all artists and celebrities agree on this topic. Hip Hop singer Defconn has released a comment which questions the wisdom behind the models words, and obviously he has a strong conflicting view on the matter.
The hip hop artists expressed, "10-19 years is the prettiest age to reveal a lot of skin? Ha, That's talk right there. Is it proper to talk like this while news about criminals sexually abusing elementary schoolers is constantly showing up/ I was wondering why female students don't understand each other emotionally, that's why I wrote this."
This seems to be just part of an ever growing debate on whether Korea should lighten up on their stance of teens showing skin but it seems that even the celebrities and idols cannot agree on a subject, so don't expect to see some kind of public resolution soon!
