Featured bands CNBLUE Lee Jonghyun (20) and Kang Minhyuk (19) has debuted on the screen. Their debut was an omnibus film “Acoustic” with carrying music theme. Together with Shin Sekyung, and 2Am Im Seulong, they have been a popular topic in the Pusan International Film Festival this year.
“I was casted first, and felt comfortable because my role was a guitarist and vocalist. I’ve been wondering who will take the role for the drummer, i relieved it was Kang Minhyuk from our band.” (Lee Jonghyun)
Next was Lee Jonghyun “Minhyuk is unlike gluttonous nor a foolish type, he’s the most quiet member,” he said.
While the “Busan man” Lee Jonghyun was suffering because of the accent.
“i have severe accent, I didn’t even think about to fix it. Yonghwa hyung from same hometown, helped me to correct my accent. It said i should speak with a flat (一) accent, but the more i do it the more it got weird, i have to press my floating accent. haha.”
They are members of ‘Taj Mahal’ band and were so poor. Sangwon hyung the guitarist (Lee Jonghyun) have to sell his guitar for their necessities, his brother drummer Haewon (Kang Minhyuk) mess things up, because he was distracted by a “bread” and loss the guitar. Lee Jonghyun with the charismatic type, and Kang MinHyuk was so frustrated to unfold act like a real spoiled little brother.
Kang MinHyuk said rather than decent, he was sufferred because of his real character is different.
“First time i got the scenario, i was so blank. Couldn’t act like normally Haewon, i just tried to speak like a fool, and awkwardly.”
While they have experience as a band that had suffered to living, it’s emerged from their acting.
“CNBLUE was named “Pine Tree” before our debut. It’s meant as strong and long live as a Pine tree. We’ll in a big trouble if we have to go by that name (Laughs). No one believed, that we didn’t have money and starving for two days. I was 58 kg back then.” (Kang Minhyuk)
Lee Jonghyun added “I was 58kg too. In Japan, next to the studio there was a convenience store, after midnight they would give a free bread that passed the expiration date. Through a hard time, now we’re a star to open large-scale concert in Japan and other Asian countries. However, these Busan International Film Festival is our first experience.”

Lee Jonghyun practised for the red carpet at the hotel hall but it was useless. The camera didn’t captured us, as there was Chinese actor Tang Wei. Next time, we will check the order before to lessen nervous.
“As fast result there’s coming over next act show, waiting is virtue” concurrently in acting and singing defined as their future plans. Kang MinHyuk in the SBS drama “It’s alright, Daddy’s Daughter” role as a younger boy who had one handed love.
“I want to feel the fun of reversal, so i want a challenge role as a villain”. (Kang Minhyuk)
Lee Jonghyun want to challenge an action, like ‘Into the Fire‘ a war movie by TOP who can speaks with accent.
