Korean rock band FT Island held a promotional event for their third Japanese single “So today…” in Japan over the weekend.
The boys' agency FNC Music revealed in its press release on Monday that over a total 10,000 fans gathered for the two-day live performance held in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively, on November 20 and 21. The group performed some of the tracks from the album including “So today...,” I Change for You,” and "Boom Boom Boom.”
"Boom Boom Boom" was written by member Lee Jae-jin and composed by member Choi Jong-hoon while "So today..." and "I Change for You" were written by Lee Jae-jin. The new single has already won recognition in Japan, having reached sixth place on Japan's prestigious Oricon daily singles chart on the day it went on sale on November 17.
FT Island, composed also of members Lee Hong-ki, Song Seung-hyun, and Choi Min-hwan, has been one of the most popular groups in Korea since their debut in June 2007. They expanded their career into Japan in 2008 with two single albums “Flower Rock” and “Brand-new days." The group has seen three of its singles rank within the top 10 slots of the Oricon albums chart.
