[News] Singer IU sweeps televised music programs

IU’s song “Good Day” again placed on top of two major televised music programs.

“Good Day,” the title track to IU’s newest EP album “Real,” won the top prize on KBS' “Music Bank” on December 24 and No.1 again in SBS music program “Inkigayo” on Sunday.

“It’s such a wonderful gift to receive on Christmas Eve. I thank all my fans who came to root for me despite such cold weather” IU was quoted as saying in her acceptance speech on Friday.

For her Mutizen Award claim on "Inkigayo," her second consecutive victory on the show, she thanked her parents and composer for making all this possible in her acceptance speech.

“Good Day” a song about a girl confessing her feelings to a boy she is in love with, features a vibrant melody with a funky brass rhythm. This, combined with IU's high pitched singing at the end of the tune has made the song a runaway hit throughout the nation.
