[news] Younha to release new album Dec 16


Singer and songwriter Younha’s new album will hit stores next week, according to her agency Lion Media on Tuesday.

A press release from Lion stated that Younha’s EP album titled “Lost in Love,” which the 22-year old songstress co-produced with famed composer Hwang Chang-hee, will go on sale online on December 9 and be released in stores on December 16.

Of the total five songs in the album, title track “Take Care of My Boyfriend" is a ballad composed by Hwang and lyrics written by accomplished Korean female singer Hwayobi.

Other tracks are “Waiting,” Younha’s all-time hit song re-made into an acoustic version, “You Don’t Say,” one of the theme songs to MBC TV series “Personal Taste (2010),” “In My Dream,” a soundtrack to popular Japanese animation “Pokemon” which Younha wrote and composed, and “One Shot,” Younha’s newest single released last month.

Younha recently held a two-day concert titled “TIME 2 ROCK” in Seoul on October 30 and 31, attended by fans from Germany, Canada, the United States, France and Indonesia which was then followed by other two concerts in the city of Daegu and Busan.

Her next live concert "2010 Live Concert Time 2 L.O.V.E." is scheduled to take place at COEX in Seoul on December 26.

Younha debuted at the young age of 16 in 2004 in Japan with her first album “Yubikiri," becoming the second Korean artist after BoA to penetrate the top 20 spot of the prestigious Oricon chart.

Since then she released seven full-length albums, five singles, a soundtrack to Japan’s runaway hit animation “Pokemon” and a repackaged album.

Her hit song include “Password 436,” “Comet,” and “Telepathy” among others.
