U-Kiss participated in activities in Japan over the last three months to promote. The group even lived in dorms in Osaka, however they frequently traveled between Korea and Japan. They also released their second full album, “Neverland.” Leader Soohyun commented, “The album had a short period of preparation because we were constantly busy, however the album is much more mature than any other we have released.” He then said, smiling brightly: “We haven’t gotten #1 for three years. We hope it’s something we get to achieve with Neverland.”
Q: You seem to be really nervous about the album, however even the jacket is really cool!
Soohyun: “We really love the album. We care for it so much. The members worked really hard on all of their duets and solos and we also worked really hard on the title track “Neverland.” We all decided on this as the title track instead of the boss (the company.)
Dongho: Every time we perform, we want to show the fans that our growth as a team is visible. We really can’t believe it.
Q: Idols groups living accommodation in dorms is not unusual, however you lived in a dorm for three months in Japan. How was it?
Kevin: Living in a foreign country in a dorm with friends was really fun. After we finished our schedules for the day, we would come back and play games. We also talked a lot.
Eli: I played a lot of games on the computer playstation, it was around 500 yen. I played it so much, I lost around 7,000yen.
Q: So needless to say, living in that type of accommodation was fun.
AJ: My socks and underwear kept disappearing. I don’t even know who took my pants.
Hoon: My underwear was gone too. It’s still a mystery, even today.
Q: What interesting thing happened during a YTN News Interview?
Dongho: Haha.. in order to promote the new album, Kevin, Soohyun and I appeared on the news. However, all of a sudden the program was interrupted abruptly because of a press conference taking place. The interview had to be stopped for a few minutes.
Kevin: We don’t appear on the news much. Even when we were interrupted, we just kept talking.
Soohyun: It was a really strange experience, extremely stressful. It was like someone pressed the pause button.
Q: As an idol group, what do you think about love? Is there an ideal type you have?
Kevin: We are really far from that. But we do look at other idols and get jealous at times.
Soohyun: Someday I want to be in an official celebrity couple, however I don’t know if I have a chance.
Q: What are the plans for your future activities?
Soohyun: We want to be #1 in an music program. We would also love to be at the Golden Disc Awards, and possibly get #1 there as well.
Hoon: I want to go overseas, including Japan again, even if there are protests in Japan against Hallyu Wave idols. The group (U-Kiss) has been around for three years in the Hallyu Wave. I will work extremely hard not to be ashamed.
