[News] Leeteuk wants concert ticket prices to stay reasonable

On November 29th, Super Junior won the Album of the Year Award at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) with their fifth studio album, "Mr. Simple". During the winner interview held at the Marina Bay Convention Center after the event, Leeteuk expressed his concern over the concert ticket prices.

Leeteuk stated, "As the Korean wave becomes more popular and global, we’ve been performing more and more overseas. We learned, however, that the ticket prices are very expensive. It’s okay if we can perform in a perfect performance that is worth the money, but it becomes a problem if we can’t. The Korean wave can come to a crisis if the producers of K-Pop only think of the short-term profits. We must produce hallyu concert with the thought that we want to spread K-Pop further."

He continued, "I have actually checked the prices of the tickets for the concerts and some of the various events overseas and find that it is sometimes exorbitant."

Leeteuk expressed that this issue is something that everyone in the industry, including concert organizers, should look at and said he hoped that the price of tickets will be reasonable.

Meanwhile, Super Junior is currently in the midst of their world tour concert, Super Show 4.
