Big Bang to Add Second Show in Hong Kong!




(August 31, 2012, Hong Kong) Organizers of “BIGBANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR 2012 in HONG KONG” are proud to announce that a second show will be added in Hong Kong on December 9 with a view to accommodating the unprecedented ticket demand and interest in the first concert of the hottest Korean artist group BIGBANG in the city. The announcement of the first visit of the 5 Korean boys to Hong Kong has created lots of buzz in town, making it the most-wanted and highly-anticipated Korean concert for fans and music lovers, both locally and regionally, in 2012.

BIGBANG has kicked-off their global concert tour “BIGBANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR 2012” in Korea in March, which over 30,000 tickets of the 3 shows were instantly sold out once after its opening. They then stormed Japan with an amazing 15 shows, where over 1 million applications were received for the 210,000 limited tickets. They have also finished 3 impressive shows in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing with a history-making total of over 32,000 audiences!

BIGBANG has created a hype wherever their concert tickets go on public sale. The tickets of the tour sold out at an incredibly fast rate in every country they landed. In Jakarta, all tickets were sold out in a mere 10 minutes with over 50,000 users rushed to the ticketing website and brought down the server in 30 seconds after opening. In Singapore, all tickets were sold out shortly after its opening and a second show was immediately announced to cope with the huge tickets demand from the enthusiastic fans. Later in Malaysia, they attracted more than 3,500 fans to queue up at the box office to fight for their tickets. Most recently in Taiwan, where BIGBANG is immensely popular, all 22,000 tickets of their 2 shows were sold out within few hours.

BIGBANG consists of 5 members, namely G.Dragon, T.O.P, Seungri, Taeyang and Daesung. Known for their unique music style and flamboyant fashion style, is currently one of the most prominent Korean artists both locally and internationally. They have gained utmost popularity and recognition amongst music lovers and fashionistas all over the world.
  
The members of the BIGBANG, whom each of them has amazing individual talents, are focusing on their own solo activities in August, including the launch of G.Dragon’s 2nd solo album “ONE OF A KIND”, T.O.P’s participation in spy movie “Alumni” and Seungri being the host of his own TV program “V.I. FROM BIGBANG”. Starting from the end of September, they will resume their concert tour activities to meet with their beloved fans and supporters in cities including Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia, United States, Peru and Japan before landing on their first ever concert in Hong Kong in December.

 “BIGBANG ALIVE GALAXY TOUR 2012” is a history marking collaboration between BIGBANG and world-class production team. Laurieann Gibson, the director of Lady Gaga’s “The Monster Ball Tour”, has joined as the creative director of the tour. A top-notch production team, which has collaborated with Madonna, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Linkin Park and many other big names, will be in charge of bringing the most fascinating stage effects to the audiences in Hong Kong.

BIGBANG has been performing in great form since their comeback in January this year. There were 5 music videos in Korea which have reached over 10 million views on Youtube and BIGBANG has taken up 4 spots with “Monster”, “Blue”, “Fantastic Baby”, and “Bad Boy”. They became the “King of Album Sales” in Korea for the first half of the year. Their comeback album “Alive”, together with the recently released special edition album “Still Alive”, recorded a combined sales of 400,000 copies. They were expected to easily pass the half-million album sales mark for the year.
