After iMe and Zhang Jie attended the Mamas, the president of Korean company CJ Corporation and an important person from Mnet personally met them, and formally invited them to continue developing toward Korea. The CJ Corp president also expressed that Zhang Jie and i Me’s performances were very good, and would definitely be very popular in Korea. One Mnet representative stated, “I think iMe has already reached the level of Asian artists. When are you coming to Korea? We will definitely fully support you!”

After hearing this, i Me was humbled and overwhelmed, and hoped that their new album next year definitely wouldn’t let anyone down and that they would double their efforts. After they got the award, iMe stated, “This is the second time we’ve gotten an award, in six months after our debut, and it’s also one that represents music in all of Asia. This makes all five of us girls very excited. The five of us are from three different countries, and have come together because of our common musical dreams. Every artist in today’s award ceremony is a role model to us. We will double our efforts in order to pay back those people who support and cherish us.”

Although their careers haven’t been very long, i Me’s maturity is obvious to all. Backstage, i Me didn’t forget to take this chance to learn, and asked for advice from groups like Big Bang, 2NE1, 2PM, etc. After learning that there were two Chinese members in Miss A, iMe specially encouraged them to jiayou.

The recognition received must be especially gratifying to iMe’s Korean member, Haley Xuan Jing (Shim Hyun Kyung) , who had trained in Korea jn SM entertainment for a long time previous to joining iMe. You can see her as a young girl being adorable in this video, rapping with Heechul from Super Junior.

There has been late recognitions for those artists who won at the 2010 MAMA held last November 28 at Macau like award winning artist BoA from SM Entertainment.

The 2010 MAMA has experienced a lot of conflicts and troubles especially with artists not being able to attend due to their conflict of schedules. On the show, some awards have not been announced due to the winners not being able to attend, there was no public broadcast but however officials from Mnet was fast to announce the winners on their site.

BoA won Female Singer award, CNBlue won Best New Male Artist Award, 2am won Best Vocal Performance by a Group. All three were not able to attend the event.

Mnet also announced the Best Collaboration won by Ga-In/Jo Kwon – “We Fell In Love”. Also the representative said, "Other awards were not able to be presented due to the show being a live broadcast oversea's and it was already over time."

Meanwhile, The Mnet said that the trophies will be sent to the agencies of the respective artists who won.

Voting for this year's Mnet MAMA awards have concluded, with a total of 550,605 voters, in which more than 50% are from Korea. Analysis also shows that the biggest group of the voters are females in their 20s.

For the Best New Male Artist award, CN Blue gained 1st place with their song 'Love' with 46.8% of the votes. Following CN Blue is Seo In Gook with 'I Love You' at 2nd Place and Teen Top with 'Clap' at 3rd place.

For the Best New Female Artist award, Miss A tops with their hit song 'Bad Girl Good Girl', with 47% of the votes. Following behind is GN.A with 'I'll Back Off So You Can Live' at 2nd place and Rainbow with 'A' at 3rd place.

Meanwhile, the Best Male Group award goes to Super Junior with 'Bonamana'. They have 39.1% of the votes! Following is 2PM with 'Without You' and MBLAQ with 'Y' at 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

On the other hand, the Best Female Group award is won by 2NE1 with their song 'Can't Nobody'. They fetched 38% of the votes, while 4Minutes fetched 16.7% of the votes with their song 'HUH', landing them at 2nd Place. Following behind 4Minute is KARA with their catchy song 'Lupin'.

Rain, who has recently been busy with his acting schedules, won the Best Solo Male Artist award with 'Love Song'. He gained 30.9% of the votes, while Taeyang fetched himself 23% of the votes with his song 'I'll Be There'. Following after at 3rd position is Se7en with 'Better Together'.

The Best Female Solo Artist award goes to BoA with 'Hurricane Venus'(32.7% of the votes), followed by Lee Hyori with 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'(23% of the votes) and Gummy with 'As a Man'(21.3%) at 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Best Solo Dance award goes to Rain with 'Love Song'(26% of the votes), followed by Taeyang with 'I'll Be There'(22.3% of the votes) and HyunAh with 'Change'(21.2% of votes) respectively.


Best Dance Performance by a Male Group was bagged by Super Junior with their hit song 'Bonamana'(37.9% of the Votes), followed by 2PM with 'I'll Be Back'(22.5% of the votes) and MBLAQ with 'Y' (16.3% of the votes) respectively.

On the other hand, the Best Dance Performance by a Female Group goes to 2NE1 with 'Can't Nobody'(31.1% of the votes). At 2nd position we have Miss A with 'Bad Girl Good Girl'(27.5% of the votes) followed by 4Minute with 'Huh'(15% of the votes).

Best Solo Vocal Performance is bagged by Gummy with 'As A Man'(30.1% of the votes), followed by K.Will with 'Miss, MIss and Miss'(24% of the votes) and Wheesung with 'I Thought to Marry'(17.6% of the votes) respectively.

Best Vocal Performance by a group is given to 2AM with 'Even if I Die, I can't Let You Go'(48% of the votes), with Davichi at 2nd place with 'Stop The Time'(15.9% of the votes) followed by 4MEN with 'I Can't'(13.8% of the votes).

FT Island bagged the Best Band Performance award with 'Love Love Love'(38.3% of the votes), followed by CN Blue with 'Love'(28.7% of the votes) and Hot Potato with 'Propose'(15.3% of the votes) respectively.

Epik High gets the Best Rap Performance award with 'Run'(29.3% of the votes), followed by Supreme Team with 'Dang Dang Dang'(27.1% of the votes) and DJ Doc with 'I'm Like This'(18.8% of the votes) respectively.

WGM Couple GaIn and Jo Kwon get the Best Collaboration award with their sweet song 'We Fell In Love'(39.5% of the votes), at 2nd Position we have IU and SeulOng with 'Nagging'(18.7% of the votes). Lastly, at 3rd position we have Homme with 'I Was Able To Eat Well'(17.9% of the votes).

Best Digital Single award is bagged by 2NE1's Park Bom with 'You and I'(36.5% Of the Votes), followed by Supreme Team's 'Then Then Then'(23.7% of the votes) and MC Mong with 'Sick Enough To Die'(17.2%of the votes).

Best Music Video award is given to 2NE1's 'Can't Nobody'(27.5% of the votes), followed by GaIn with 'Irreversible'(26.9%) and Epik High with 'Run'(16.9%).

The Shilla Asian Wave award is given to 2PM with 'I'll Be Back'(27% of the Votes). At 2nd Place we have KARA with 'Lupin' (22% of the votes) followed by CN Blue's 'Love'(21.2% of the votes).


Song Of The Year award is also bagged by Super Junior with their catchy song 'Bonamana' (34.6% of the votes) followed by 2PM 'I'll Be Back'(13.6% of the votes) and 2NE1 'Can't Nobody'(9.8% of the votes).

Artist of The Year is also bagged by Super Junior with 'Bonamana'(35.7% of the votes), followed by 2PM 'I'll Be Back'(13.2% of the votes) and 2NE1 'Can't Nobody'(10.2% of the votes).

However, many of the artists will not be attending this event because of their busy schedules and other year-end awards. Remember, these results will only count in 10%-30% of the calculation for the awards! Other factors include Record Sales, Digital Charts, and others.

Former Miss Korea Honey Lee has been invited and will be appearing in the 2010 MAMA awards.

This years MAMA awards will be held in Macau on November 28 and Honey Lee will be performing a special stage by playing the gayageum which is a traditional korean instrument.

Honey Lee is not only known for her beauty but also for her intelligence and talent. She has graduated in the prestigious Seoul University and also appeared in the musical "Legally Blonde" last April.

The first line-up of guests attending the 2010 Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA) have been revealed.

The official website of the Ment's annual music festival showed that Korean artists 2PM, 2NE1, miss A, Taeyang and Tiger JK will attend the event while international singers include Zhang Jie and iMe from China, Perfume and Chemistry from Japan and American hip-hop quartet Far East Movement.

Last month, Mnet Media's head Park Gwang-won announced that the music festival will be held in Macau this year at the Cotai Areana in the Venetian hotel on November 28 and be jointly produced by broadcasters in Korea, Japan and China.

Hong Kong's TVB, Singapore's Mediacrop, the Philippines GMA and Cambodia's CTN, all main public networks of their respective countries, as well as payTV and IPTV channels will air the show live this year.

Known as one of the biggest local music events in the country, MAMA first started out as Mnet KM Music Video Festival in 1999 and changed its name to Mnet KM Music Festival in 2006.

The show went on air live to Japan and China starting 2008 and is now broadcast to a total of ten countries throughout the region.

Some of the biggest names in the Korean music industry including Rain, Super Junior, 2PM and 2NE1 have been nominated for various categories of the awards ceremony.

Awards will be handed out based on fan votes, charts of the artists' rankings, and single and album sales.

2PM reveals 'sad ballad & clown transformation' concept for 2010 MAMA

A part of 2PM's performance's concept in 2010 MAMA was revealed in part. In the picture, Wooyoung is standing indifferently whilst dressed as a clown. 2PM members are placed in geometric algorithm.

2010 MAMA's side revealed, "It will be matched to the whole of Asia's eye-level, as it is an Asian music award, and to be easy for anyone to follow. Also for 2PM, there will be a different performance prepared in sync with a sad ballad, unlike their concepts thus far".

2010 MAMA will be opened in Macau on the 28th of November.

The Mnet Asian Music Awards began to run into trouble this year starting with their controversial move from Korea to Macau.

Korean broadcast companies such as SBS, KBS and MBC argued the move saying that artists would have to choose between the MAMAs or their Korean end of the year show because of the timing.

DSP Entertainment says that KARA’s busy schedule is keeping the group from attending both the 2010 MAMAs as well as the 2010 Melon Music Awards.

All of the other artists have also cited busy schedules as their reason for pulling out.

Big Bang’s decision of whether they’re going to be attending MAMA, which will be held in Macau on the 28th, has gained attention from many people.

In this year’s MAMA, 2NE1, Gummy and other YG artists are attending this event, but because Big Bang took a 2 year break, it has not yet been decided whether they will be boarding the plane to Macau.

First, it does seem like some of the members of Big Bang are eligible to attend. G-Dragon is one of the nominees for Award of the Year. T.O.P. and Taeyang have been active due to their solo albums.

The only thing is that because Big Bang as a group haven’t been active, not all of the members will be able to stand on stage.

Mnet and YG Entertainment have not revealed on what they’re planning to do yet. MAMA staff is currently busy trying to fit all the artists, who are attending, in their schedule and are deciding whether or not to put Big Bang in their schedule.

On November of 2008, Big Bang came out with their 2nd album containing the song, Red Sunset and afterwards have taken a long break. With the news of their comeback, the fans are starting to get excited.

It looks as if SM artists will not attend Mnet's MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Awards) which is held on the 28th this month.

A representitive of Mnet said, "As far as we know, SM is not attending MAMA and their artists already have plans on the 28th"

Because SM isn't attending and didn't attend last year, we couldn't see arists such as BoA, SuJu, SNSD, SHINee and others.

It has been revealed before that U-Kiss has been invited to the 2010 MAMA awards this year that will be held in Macau, also Alexander from U-kiss has been excited since it will be held in his hometown.

U-kiss has been working hard this year to claim the recognition they deserve however, looks like Xander revealed that they wont be attending the 2010 MAMA after all. Xander said it's a bad rumor but it seems that it is true. However, we just have to wait on what the final verdict will be for U-kiss in this event. Hopefully they will be able to attend.
