KBS often does an Arabic interview with popular Kpop groups in order to help the Arabs show their love and support for their favorite band. Arab JYJ fans have been requesting JYJ members in an Arabic interview since 2010. Last May (2011), KBS Arabic section finally announced a JYJ Arabic interview. BUT KBS clarrified that it won’t happen until JYJ are back from their world tour (based on the leader’s request JJ), meanwhile Arabs can prepare their audio files (messages), gifts and anything they want to send before the interview. The news brought tears in our eyes from the happiness. We couldnt believe that our dream is being fulfilled.
Arab fans prepared many projects like videos and magazines, bought gifts and some fans had already SENT their gifts. One day, KBS wrote on its wall asking JYJ Arab Fans to STOP sending gifts. I was surprised since JYJ were on their LAST concert in the world tour and that they will be back soon so WHY STOP sending gifts?? Anyway, we followed their request and just focused on projects. JYJ finished their world tour and returned back to Korea. ALL Arabs now were waiting for the DATE of the interview to be officially released.
In the beginning of June 2011, KBS released a statement DELAYING the interview for an undefined date. I don’t know how to explain this, but imagine how hard Arabs worked for 2 months and all of a sudden news like this are published. I can never explain the sorrow that struck our hearts at the time. Many Arabs wrote to KBS and asked why? (Although many of us had already guessed, SM) KBS replied via phone “SM has nothing to do with it, KBS Arabic is seperate from the rest of the channel” thats what a fan told us when she called KBS.
Arabs still had hope. We thought may be the delay would be for a week….or 2 weeks…..may be a month?? Thats how we convinced ourselves. In addition, KBS already has some of our gifts [Exactly 4 gifts as far as I know cause I witnessed those 4, but may be more were sent]. We thought as long as our gifts are there, they can not cancel the interview or else what will happen to those gifts?? We have been waiting since June……uptill NOW.
In December 2011, an incident happened. Like I previously mentioned, Arabs did not give up hope and kept waiting (Since deep in our hearts, we thought KBS did not CANCEL, they just DELAYED). We kept writing on KBS wall, but no reply until one day me and my friends kept spamming their FB page. It ended with KBS blocking both me and my friend xD BUT one of the staff FINALLY replied and told us that he wants to call us. As soon as I heard it, I sent an email with my number. I wanted to talk to him, but I thought…may be an elder would be better?! Many fans called KBS and zero joy they had. SO, my mom said she will call him ^___^ (By the way, my mom is a Fan xD) That phone call is really important cause it confirms something.

Q: How is JYJ’s interview?? And What’s the problem?? why all the delay its been 7 months?
A: Last May, when KBS announced an Arabic interview with JYJ, we were really preparing and ready for it, but….when
SM Entertainment heard about this interview, KBS HAD to delay it for an undefined date.
Q: So SM is the problem??
A: KBS are waiting for the lawsuit to be solved between SM and JYJ because as long as this case is on, its nearly IMPOSSIBLE for the interview to be made.
Q: Then whats the solution now??
A: Its out of KBS’s control. KBS Arabic section really wanted to make this interview with JYJ, but its out of our hands. The only solution is to wait until the case is solved between the 2 sides.
Q: What about the gifts?? What if the interview didnt happen, What will happen to the gifts??
A: We dont know what to do with it.
KBS agreed on the solution and said they will do their best BUT asked us to wait abit more in case the issue is solved.
