On June 1st, Girls’ Generation – TTS guest-starred on KBS 2TV’s “Yoo Heeyeol’s Sketchbook”. In addition to performing “Twinkle” and solo cover songs “Take a Bow”, “Rolling in the Deep”, and “Jack”, Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun sat down with MC Yoo Heeyeol for a short and entertaining interview.
During this episode, Taeyeon revealed the secret behind her singing, stating, “When promoting as nine members, we aren’t given many opportunities to sing by ourselves, so I feel like we’re fulfilling what we’ve wanted through this promotion cycle as a unit group.” MC Yoo Heeyeol also complimented the girls’ hidden singing talents. Tiffany and Seohyun then commented, “I think Taeyeon has a natural born talent [for singing]. She sings so well that it comes off as very confident of herself.”
In reality, Taeyeon has been garnering attention through their “Twinkle” performances for her explosive high notes. She was acknowledged for her unwavering singing, even while showing a flashy performance. To this, Taeyeon confessed, “I think it’s genetic. My dad was the vocalist in a neighborhood band,” causing laughter. Also during this episode, Seohyun recalled the audition she had at age twelve and sang “Wild Flower Story”, gaining a great response from the audience.
During the show, when asked, “Is there a member of Girls’ Generation who acts pretty?”, they all named Sunny. Tiffany explained, “Sunny winks with both eyes while shrugging her shoulders,” and proceeded to imitate her during “Gee”, gaining laughter from the others. Tiffany added, “Those performances from Sunny help Girls’ Generation,” and complimented Sunny’s charms.

KBS 2TV 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' is a program aimed at lonely and underrated solo singers.

On 'Sketchbook' which will be broadcasted on Dec 23rd at 12:15 midnight, will be presenting 'Only For You Christmas' dedicated to solo singers. In an age where remixed and modified carols are everywhere, the show intends to showcase a selection of original traditional carols for its stages.

Besides Yoo Hee Yeol, the guests on this episode include Jung Jaehyung, Sung Sikyung, Lucid Fall, IU, Jung Yeob, Park Juwon, Ham Chunho, Sim Sung Rak, John Park, Ali, Sweet Sorrow, altogether 15 musicians will fill the stage.

[Note: According to the YHY Sketchbook homepage, IU will be singing 'Silent Night Holy Night' with Sim Sung Rak and performing the final stage 'Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer' with everyone]

During the interview for the 100th episode of KBS’ ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’, MC, Yoo Hee Yeol revealed he ignored IU’s recent text message to him, making everyone present laugh.

As ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’ already reached its 100th episode, its moderator, Yoo Hee Yeol, and PD Lee Sae Hee had a press conference and interview on 31st May. They reminisced about the guests that had been on the show so far and shared their thoughts as well as future plans for the program.

During the interview Yoo Hee Yeol was asked, “Which guests left you with the deepest impression?” He responded by naming singer-songwriter, Lucid Fall. He also named UV, IU, Lee Su Geun and Jung Hoon Hee as the guests he enjoyed the most so far.
“IU sent me a text message. However, I haven’t replied yet”, he suddenly said and surprised the audience, since this comment of him was really unexpected. However, no one could resist to laugh out loud upon it.

Seven is keeping his promise to his fans as he keep appearing in any variety shows such as Golden fishery, and Running Man. He is also appearing in any Radio show. This time he was on Yoo's Sketchbook having a chat with Mr. Yoo and performing such good songs such as Better together and more.

For this week's episode of Sketchbook, just after Taeyang and G-dragon were the guests last week, It was Super Junior's turn to grace the show.

The boys are going to be having their goodbye stages soon (I heard it's this week, im not sure) and it's nice to see more of them before they take a break and rest and then practice for their Super Show 3 and the SM Town world tour.

During the July 16 broadcast of YHY's Sketchbook, BIGBANG's Taeyang was asked a question about "how most groups eventually disband."

Taeyang answered, "Lately, the members have been talking together about the future. The thing that brought this group of 5 people together is their passion for music. If we do not lose that original intention, we can still do music together even after 10 or 20 years."

G-Dragon added, "The talks I have with our members are more mature than before. Our individual points of view have become more apparent." Taeyang agreed and added, "The future looks bright for BIGBANG."

Big Bamg member's Taeyang and G-Dragon shared on Sketchbook how they and the rest of the Big Bang member's live in their dorm.

Aired on the 17th, Sketchbook, G-Dragon revealed that each member shows their own unique personalities in their rooms.

Taeyang said, "There are 5 people sharing 1 roof, there are so many things here and there, so we are split into two floors, Me, TOP and Seungri lives downstairs while G-Dragon and Daseung lives Upstairs".

Followed by this, they were asked about each member's room, Taeyang said, "There is nothing in Daesung's room but toys, He just sleeps there. On TOP's room, it is filled with toys, it's like a toy store, there are lots of action figures, TOP likes to collect toys and it is his hobby".

G-Dragon talked about Taeyang's room next, "Taeyang's room is like his name*, When you come inside, it's very warm and light".

Taeyang followed and talked about G-Dragon's room. "G-dragon's clothes are all over the room, you can see world class clothes and limited edition clothes everywhere. Since He is a fashionista and like's fashion, his clothes are everywhere in his room".

After, Taeyang was asked about their group's maknae Seungri's room, He answered, "I have not been there, I do not know" causing much laughter in the audience.

It was revealed that G-Draong and Taeyang were ready to debut into the music industry a few times before they debuted with Big Bang. They confessed that they were originally planned to debut as a duo.

G-Dragon and Taeyang were guests on the 16th episode of Sketchbook, and they revealed that they were set to debut under the english name of "GD-YB" with their name's initials as the name of the hip hop duo.

Although, they planned to debut as a hip hop duo, Their agency's president Yang Hyun did not like their idea of debuting as a hip hop duo and debuted them as part of Big Bang instead.

G-Dragon said, "We made the group name ourselves, my name and his name's initials formed into GD-YB. I talked to our president about this idea of ours but he did not like it".

When fans gather and comes to them, Big Bang member's G-Dragon and Taeyang have different reactions.

On the July 16 episode of KBS Sketchbook, he said, "When we are in our agency's building and we know that there are a group of fans coming, my reaction is I just act cool" While taeyang said, "Rather than waving to the fans and showing them a good response, I tend to shy away and hide from them" He explained showing their different reactions when fans gathers to them.

G-Dragon followed, "Although we might now know all our fans, They are our fans and when I see them coming I recognize them and I am glad for them".

Meanwhile, G-Dragon also shared their unique personalities in their dorm.

He explained, "Our room is not that loud. We are there mostly to sleep. Taeyang has a warm room, and has a wall filled with rare albums and fan gifts. TOP has a huge collection of toys as it is his hobbie to collect them. There would be huge action figures, I like fashion and my room would be filled with a lot of nice clothes, although Seungri does not like to show his room".

Taeyang has been keeping himself busy promoting his first solo album. He has been everywhere and it's a pleasure to see for VIP's.

He has been on variety shows, strong heart and Heroes, music shows, now he drops by Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook and performs a couple of songs from his album plus his best friend G-DRAGON was there too! Double the fun :)
