Kim Hyun Joong’s upcoming drama ‘City Conquest’ is set to hold a large-scale press conference in Japan.

The press conference will take place on October 4th at Budokkan in Tokyo, and it will be attended by approximately 16,000 Japanese fans, and 400 different medias and press reporters. The event will include appearances by Kim Hyun Joong himself, co-star Jung Yu Mi, and other drama representatives. Special promotional footage will also be revealed during the event.

It was also revealed that NHK is interested in making a documentary of the drama and will be sending their team to attend the event.

Along with the conference, the first anniversary celebration event of Kim Hyun Joong’s fan club will also take place at the same time. The first full trailer for “City Conquest” will also be aired exclusively at the press conference.

A romantic hugging scene between Kim Hyun Joong and Jung Yu Mi was recently released.

On August 23, KEYEAST released teaser still capturing a romantic moment of Kim Hyun Joong and Jung Yu Mi who were hugging each other during the shooting of their upcoming drama, ‘City Conquest’.

This black and white scene was taken in Japan and the touching moment between Baek Mir (Kim Hyun Joong) and Lee Dan Bi (Jung Yu Mi) was expressed so beautifully.

According to an official, Kim Hyun Joong and Jung Yumi impressed the staffs with their amazing partnership throughout many shootings, and made every scenes even more romantic and dramatic.

‘City Conquest’ is an action drama series produced by the production team of Iris and Athena based on a popular cartoon series. It’s about Baek Mir who fights against evil and irrationalities of the society. It’s a large-scale series filmed in such countries as the U.S., Japan, and China.

On August 7th, Kim Hyun Joong’s agency Key East released behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the drama. The photos showed the singer-actor passionately monitoring himself.

The staff and his fellow actors have especially been showing their satisfaction, as he’s been enthusiastic about checking every move in the action scenes and about practicing.

Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong is currently filming the drama ‘City Conquest’ in Japan. The fancy action, intense bike chase and car blow-up’s are done by the special effects team from the drama ‘IRIS’. These scenes have been planned and calculated days before the actual taking to prevent accidents.

According to the reports, Kim Hyun Joong jumped onto a bike the moment he saw one on the set and drove it around without difficulty.

However, as the shooting started, the set was filled with tense and silence. The director Yang Yoon Ho shouted, “Action!” and the shooting started with monstrous roar from the motorcycles.

The professional crew members, who were in charge of special effects in ‘IRIS’, exploded two cars. With a huge blast and flames, pieces of shrapnel flew everywhere, realistically creating the thrilling car explosion scene.

Apparently, ‘City Conquest’ is being dramatized so the security is tight. The cars and the bikes are just the beginning.

‘City Conquest’ is produced by Yang Yoon Ho from ‘IRIS’ and is being expected as the second ‘IRIS’. The background is going to take place in America, China, Singapore, Myanmar, the Switzerland and more.

Filming has kicked off for Kim Hyun Joong’s upcoming new television drama.

On July 10th, the first filming for upcoming drama ‘City Conquest’ was held at the Japan’s Nikko Edomura theme park with Kim Hyun Joong, Nam Gung Min, Park Hyo Joon and Jung Yu Mi.

Nikko is a city known for its historical attractions, with many shrines and temples designated as World Heritage Sites.
