Actress Lee Si Young succeeded in becoming a national boxer.

Lee Si Young won in the finals for the 48kg class at the 2013 National Athlete Contest held on April 24. With the win, she became the first Korean actress to receive the national boxer title in Korean boxing history.

Over the last 2 years Lee Si Young has been competing in the ring fulltime. During her last match, she lost the first round 2-4 before fully gained her confidence back during the 3rd round and succeeded in taking the lead of the game.

She ended up winning over Lee Da Som by 22:20, and she succeeded in achieving the title of a national boxer.

Actress Lee Si Young has signed an exclusive contract with J.Wide Company.

On December 18, J-Wide Company announced that the agency has signed an exclusive contract with actress Lee Shi Young. The agency is currently home to stars like Lee Sang Yoon, Go Joon Hee, and Lee Young Eun.

A representative stated, “Lee Si Young is an unlimitedly talented actress. Our systematic management and resources within and outside of the country should support the actress in bringing out the varieties in her. As much as she is passionate about sports we will support her as much as we can in that too.”

Meanwhile, Lee Si Young has been a amateur boxer as well as an actress. Recently, she made it to the final round of the 66th Annual National Amateur Boxing Championship in the 48kg lower division.

Actress Lee Si Young has won a preliminary boxing match for the 93rd National Sports Festival.

Lee knocked down her opponent in the women’s 48-kilogram (105-pound) segment at the Seoul City Amateur Boxing Competition, which was held at Korea National Sport University in Songpa District, eastern Seoul on July 6th.

Lee claimed a win of 20-0, proving that she is more than just a pretty face.

As one of the four women who moved to the next round, Lee will face another match today.

If she wins the match, the 30-year-old actress will take the title as the Seoul representative and enter the ring at the National Sports Festival, which will take place in Daegu from Oct. 11 to 17.

While filming the KBS dramas “Poseidon” (2011) and “Wild Romance,” Lee was professionally trained for boxing and has since pursued the sport wholeheartedly.

After first coming across boxing in her drama, Lee entered and won the Seventh Annual Women’s Amateur Boxing Competition in 2010.

The star auction would be held for one week, from the 4th until the 10th of next month, in G-Market.

Singers Jay Park and John Park have both been picked to star in a new music-based MBC reality television show.

Jay will be paired with actress Lee Si Young and John with Park Jin Hee in “Music and Lyrics,” according to the network.

On the show, Jay Park and Lee will work together to compose a song for newbie girl group Tiny-G.

“I’m confident that I can do this, and I think that as a team, the song we create will become a big hit,” Jay Park said.

Lee said that she was also excited about the invitation to star in the show.

“I’m a bit nervous, so instead of thinking that I’m on a show, I’m going to try to relax and try my best to be Lee Si Young off the camera,” said the singer.
