Singer and comedian Boom is making a return into the music scene with his brand new single, “I Don’t Know Women”.

On May 16th, Boom released his latest single “I Don’t Know Women”. The song is very serious and masculine contrary to the comic image Boom has built through a variety of television shows. It was produced by Oh Seung Eun, and will feature sad lyrics with a trendy rhythm.

On March 29, tvN announced on their official website, "We will make the showbiz explode with Boom and Kwanghee"

It has been reported that Boom and Kwanghee of ZE:A will be MCs for the new TV show "Friends treating You To Something". In this program, MCs will become viewer's friends through KakaoTalk and participate in the challenge together.

PD Park Sung Jae revealed "Human relationships are becoming wider, as the smartphone and SNS are increasingly popular. The owner of the phone and their phone contacts will have the real connection as friends of the 21st century. We thought it would be interesting to create a program that viewers at home can participate, and celebrities are no longer the image on TV, they will also be part of the program".
 
He added, "Boom and Kwanghee wiill make friends with viewers through KakaoTalk and viewers can give requests to talk with other celebrities and share their stories. Although Boom and Kwanghee are celebrities, they are extremely friendly and helpful, so I think they are the perfect MCs for this program".

It has also been reported that in just one week since the MC started making friends through KakaoTalk, 20,000 fans have registered showing many interests toward this new program.

"Friends treating You To Something" will be aired on tvN since April 14.

Child actress Park Min Ha uploaded a photo on her twitter on January 19th with a tweet," 'Happy Together' shooting ended, with uncle Boom and uncle Yoo Jae Suk~ really interesting"

In the photo, Boom is seen holding the little girl, the three of them were posing with V sign towards the camera, showing a lovely atsmosphere.

MBLAQ Lee Joon and Boom’s photo together was revealed.

On Boom’s twitter on the 27th, wrote “Loosened my body after a long time with Joon Please anticipate MBC Gayo Daejun  Boom vs Joon” along with a two photos of them together.

In the photo showed Lee Joon and Boom standing side by side looking at the camera. Photo looked as if they were in a fight with their nose and mouth, including face with bruises and bloodstains.

Netizen’s reacted with “In a fight? Who won?” “What were the two’s motives?” and many others.

On the other hand, Boom and Lee Joon along with Sooyoung and Lee Hui Jae, will MC on the 31st on “2012 MBC Gayo Daejun”

Girls Generation’s Seohyun will emcee the “2012 MBC Gayo Daejejun”, a Korean music festival, along with Lee Joon from MBLAQ, Boom, and Lee Hwijae.

The ‘2012 MBC Gayo Daejejun’ will take place December 31st at 8:50 PM KST. Seohyun is the third Girls’ Generation member to be selected as an emcee for an end-of-the-year show, with Sooyoung set to emcee the “2012 SBS Entertainment Awards” and Yoona tabbed as a hostess for the “2012 KBS Gayo Daechukje”.

In related news, Girls’ Generation is set to make their long-awaited Korean comeback on January 1st with “I Got A Boy”.

“She Was Pretty” was composed by hit maker Kim Kun Woo. Unlike Boom’s past tracks that consisted of a powerful hip-hop rhythm, the new single features Boom’s emotional rap and will speak about a break-up. Jewelry’s Yewon also provided the narration for the song.

Just a day before its official release, Boom unveiled the jacket photo for “She Was Pretty”, showcasing his 180-degree transformation. Unlike his previous dance track “Let Me Play”, Boom exudes a quiet charisma in the photo, hinting for some slower, serious beats.

Singer and comedian Boom is making a return into the music scene with his brand new single, “Beautiful”.

Boom introduced his upcoming fourth digital single album via Loen TV’s C.S.I (Coming Soon Interview). The video provides the fans some behind-the-scenes footage, interview as well as a snippet of the song.

“Beautiful” was composed by hit maker Kim Kun Woo. Unlike Boom’s past tracks that consisted of a powerful hip-hop rhythm, the single will feature Boom’s emotional rap and will speak about a break-up.

The single will be released on November 27th.

On the recent episode of KBS 2TV’s ‘Invincible Youth 2’ that aired on September 29, miss A’s Suzy visited her hometown. Alongside Boom, she visited her parents’ café in Gwangju, and Suzy’s younger brother was caught in the camera.

Suzy’s brother drew people’s attention with his tall height and handsome look, as if trying to prove that he was a real younger brother of Suzy.

Boom asked Suzy’s brother, “Your older sister is Suzy. Do people get jealous?” and he answered honestly, “They get really jealous.”

Then Boom asked which celebrity he liked, to which he claimed himself as a huge fan of IU. Suzy made a phone call to IU on the spot, and he said, “Noona, I really want to see you. I’ll see you soon!”

Entertainers Boom and Park Myung Soo will be serving as the new MCs in the new variety program on MBC.

Titled ‘HaHaHa’ (temporary name), the new program will replace MBC’s ‘Laugh, and Laugh Again’ which came to a close in February due to the MBC labor union strike. ‘HaHaHa’ will feature Park Myung Soo and Boom running their own respective segments as well as joint segments.

Park Myung Soo’s individual segment, ‘Great Variety Academy’, will be focused on teaching new and aspiring comedians, while Boom’s segment, titled ‘Between Boom and Music’, will introduce the retro music to the audience in his own humorous way.

Middle and high school students in Korea voted miss A’s Suzy and IU as two female celebrities who seem to be bad at math.

On August 17th, K-Stem, an institute that conducts a scholastic ability test in mathematics, announced the result of the survey asking 220 students to vote for the celebrities who seem to be good/bad at math.

For the category asking student to vote for celebrities who seem to be good at math, actress Kim Tae Hee ranked first with 43.4% of the votes, and Lee Seung Gi followed with 30.9% of the votes. According to the students, “Lee Seung Gi looks smart and intelligent” and “Kim Tae Hee went to Seoul National University, she is smart for real.”

On the other hand, for celebrities who seem to be bad at math, Boom ranked first with 45.15% of votes, followed by female idols Suzy and IU who received 29.1% and 22.9% of votes respectively.

Boom has unfortunately suffered an injury to his forehead because of SISTAR’s Soyu.

On the first recording for MBC Music’s new TV show “All the K-Pop” that took place on July 31st, SISTAR members appeared as the special guests. Boom was hosting the show when Soyu accidentally threw a magnet at him, which caused him to bleed.

During the show’s segment where idol guest stars have to stand back and throw a magnet on idol ranking chart, Soyu accidentally missed and threw it at Boom’s head instead. Boom’s forehead immediately started to bleed, which shocked the set.

Boom jokingly stated, “If I had been hit just a bit lower, I would’ve had to get surgery done on my precious nose again. I cannot place my nose in the hands of surgery again”, bringing laughter on set.

He added, “There’s a saying that if you see a ghost or blood on your first recording, the program will be a big hit. Thanks to Soyu, I think our show will be a big hit.”

According to the staff members, SISTAR members went to take care of Boom’s wound throughout the recording.

Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back this week full of amazing performances!

For this week’s episode, rookie girl group TAHITI kicked off their debut performance with new title track “Tonight”.

Other great performances from artists including Super Junior, Boom, Gilme, WooYoung, Guckkasten, After School, ZE:A, SISTAR, GLAM, Boyfriend, B.A.P, NU’EST, 2BiC, Juniel, Big Star, C-CLOWN and M-tiful.

And for the highlight of the show, Super Junior won a triple crown on this week’s ‘M! Countdown’ with their latest track “Sexy, Free & Single”.

SISTAR member Hyorin explained why she wanted to be partnered with Boom for ‘We Got Married’.

On the May 17th episode of Mnet’s “Beatles Code 2”, SISTAR‘s Hyorin was asked why she had previously mentioned wanting to film ‘We Got Married’ with Boom. The singer explained, “I was filming a track tournament and the MC was Boom oppa.”

Hyorin continued, “He asked what I wanted to do if I won first place, and I said I wanted to film ‘We Got Married’. He then asked who I would want to be partnered with, but I couldn’t think of anyone so I said Boom oppa since he was standing right in front of me.”

U-Kiss’ Sohyun, who was also a guest on the program with Hyorin, imitated Boom’s facial expression, making everyone burst into laughter.
