On June 22, the 'MTV VMAJ 2013' (Video Music Awards Japan) were held successfully at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

K-pop's TVXQ, Big Bang, and 2PM were nominated in three different categories. Both Big Bang and 2PM each won an award, but  unfortunately TVQX's “Catch Me – If you wanna-” was defeated by J Soul Brothers‘ “Hanabi” in the ‘Best Group Video‘ category.

Big Bang's music video for "Fantastic Baby" won the category of 'Best Dance Video' while the ‘LEGEND OF 2PM‘ left on top as the ‘Best Album of the Year' leaving western albums behind.

On 4th May, the E1 All That Skate Spring 2012 event was held at Seoul Songpa-gu Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium skating arena. Current Korean figure skating champion Kim Jinseo performed the current hottest group Big Bang’s "Fantastic Baby". His performance is one of which that won the most cheers that night.

After the show ended, JinSeo said that he liked Big Bang’s "Fantastic Baby" while choosing the song and his coach agreed to his suggestion. He is also quite satisfied with the dance’s choreography as the choreographer arranged the dance exactly like what he thought it would be.

"Big Bang: Blowing up."K-pop sensation Big Bang’s latest video is Fantastic Baby.

The boy band genre may be slowly fading in North America, but over in Asia, one act is blowing up all over the place.
If you haven’t yet heard of K-pop sensation Big Bang, an ultra-stylized five-piece boy band from South Korea, chances are you will hear about them a whole lot more in the near future.

Consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P., Daesung and Seungri, Big Bang has been active since 2006 and has released various EPs that helped it break into the Japanese market. The group’s latest “mini album” Alive was released in February, and single Fantastic Baby has garnered over eight million views on YouTube since it was released just 10 days ago.
It doesn’t hurt that Fantastic Baby is easily one of the most colourfully twisted pop videos we’ve seen in a while, combining RPG style art, riot gear, steampunk elements and street pop swagger. Rumours abound concerning a worldwide tour, so keep your ears peeled.

Stereogum's 5 Best Videos of the Week

We used to make things in this country. Among those things were nonsensical high-gloss music videos that made your brain explode in another way every five seconds or so. Not anymore. We’ve totally given up worldwide-leader status in that department to South Korea, where incredible stuff like this comes out all the time.

BigBang, almost certainly the greatest boy band on earth right now, came close to topping this list last week with their breezily ridiculous “Bad Boy” video. That was awesome, but this — a candy-colored dystopia of dancing dragons and gas-masked rioters and hairstyles that laugh in the face of God — this is another thing entirely. If you’re in an indie band, please watch this and think long and hard before releasing another Instagram-looking mediocrity into the world. Watch Big Bang's 'Fantastic Baby' music video:
