Actress Kim TaeHee talked about her relationship with singer Rain.

On June 19th, Kim TaeHee held an interview and mentioned her boyfriend Rain. Kim TaeHee and Rain's relationship was confirmed early this year. During the interview, she was asked how is her relationship with the singer going. She said "Marriage is still not included in our plans. We have to think about that very well." she continued with "Marrying because of your partner's popularity is not a good idea the most important think is they love each other." revealing her thoughts about marriage. She also confirmed that their relationship is going strong.

One of the top artists, Rain, will be signing an exclusive contract with Cube Entertainment after his military service.

Cube Entertainment’s CEO Hong Seung Sung announced through the agency’s official webpage that Rain will sign with his company after he completes his military service in July. In his statement, he also talked about their friendship for the past ten years since Rain’s days under JYP Entertainment.

Rain has been working so hard and challenged himself in various fields and made a successful career as an actor, singer and even a producer. And coming this spring 2013, he is about to start a new journey with new agency with popular groups like B2ST and 4minute.

Celebrating Rain’s 11th anniversary since his debut, the star’s fanclubs from all over the world donated a large sum to support children.

On April 30th, UNICEF Korea announced that Rain’s fan club Clouds donated a total of 11,370,000 KRW to UNICEF to support children. The donation not only came from the fans in Korea, but from all around the world under the name of ‘Rain Fans United.’

The association of Rain’s fan clubs said, “We would like to make this donation to share the struggles that many children are still having at all over the world.”

Rain’s debut date is April 28th, and April 25th also happens to be ‘World Day of Eradication of Malaria’, the fan club hoped that the donations will be used for buying clean water, medicines for malaria and mosquito nets.

Actress Kim Tae Hee talked about relationship with Rain for the first time in a public event.

On March 11th, a press conference for new SBS drama ‘Jang Ok Jung’ was held at SBS Ilsan Production Center, and Kim Tae Hee talked about her boyfriend, Rain.

The actress shared, “Currently we are at the stage where we are getting to know each other. Right now, my main focus is on the drama. I was very worried because the news broke out so close to the filming and that I might have given negative effects to the drama.”

Meanwhile, Kim Tae Hee will be casting as the main character in ‘Jang Ok Jung’, and the drama will premiere in April after the conclusion of ‘King of Ambition’.

Rain has refused to stand as witness for a defamation case that was filed against a clothing company.

According to sources from the law industry on February 11, Rain was chosen to be a witness for a case against the businessman Mr. Lee the singer sued for libel. However, the singer announced that he will not be attending the case hearing.

Rain has given no clear reason for not making it to the court hearing, but the singer was reported to be concerned about the media spotlight. He recently came under fire for meeting his girlfriend, Kim Tae Hee during his military duty.

According to the law, Rain can be fined up to 5 million KRW if he is absent without having a justified reason. The judge for this case stated that he will wait and see if he has a legitimate reason for not testifying after the court date is over.

The singer and actor, who was recently punished for meeting with his girlfriend, Kim Tae-hee, while on duty, remained mum despite repeated questions by a reporter. However, the world-famous star was very nice and kind to a boy near him, who looked indifferent to the star. He gave the boy some chocolate, saying “Just before, you said you know who I am, didn’t you?”

The innocent boy accepted the chocolate and gave him an honest reply: “Yeah, it seems that I’ve seen you somewhere, but I’m not sure.”

Rain (his real name, Jung Ji Hoon) serving in the army appeared at his first official event for the first time after his probation period.

Rain participated in 'the 1st Love Of Country Walkathon With Seoulite' in Seoul Kyungbok High School on the morning of the 19th and briskly greeted people. “Loyalty. Hi, this is Coporal 'Jung Ji Hoon' belonging to the Ministry of Defence."

This event was going to run for about 3 hours from 12:30pm, but started thirty minutes late due to unavoidable circumstances. Soldiers, their families, citizens of Seoul, etc. will be walking about five kilometers, following the roads, from Kyungbok High School to Samchung Park.


Recently, Rain violated the decree on military service in the process of dating with actress 'Kim Tae Hee' while off the base for official military duties and didn't wear his beret as regulated during his leave and that's why he was placed under a period of probation of one week.

Favorable treatment for celebrities serving out their military obligations has been in the spotlight these days. And with the ongoing criticisms over singer Rain’s number of leaves from the military, the Ministry of National Defense has decided to give the star a week of
military probation.

He will be confined to the army base for a week where he is expected to do some self-reflection and introspection. The ministry acknowledged that Rain had violated regulations by having private or personal meetings while on his official military duty.

In line with his secret dates, singer and actor Rain, who is serving his mandatory military service, has provoked controversy over the privileges enjoyed by star conscripts by taking unusually frequent holidays.

According to the Defense Ministry, Rain got 17 days off as a reward and took another 10 overnight vacation days since March. He spent another 44 days outside his military base on official business such as morale-boosting performances, recording sessions and dance practice for military events.

With the addition of the holidays he got while serving on the frontline, Rain had 94 days off base, or one-fifth of his 450 days of service so far. That is more than twice the number of average holidays enjoyed by other troops from 2009 to 2012.

But while out and about in town, he also secretly indulged in some rendezvous with Hallyu actress Kim Tae Hee. With this, Ministry of National Defense said that there will be a hearing held next week by the disciplinary committee to come up with an appropriate sentence for the Hallyu singer.

A representative stated, “It’s a breach of conduct, and he will be punished as such.”

Following a series of paparazzi photos that were released online, actress Kim Tae Hee’s agency admitted that Kim Tae Hee and Rain have recently started seeing each other.

A representative from Kim Tae Hee’s agency stated on January 1, “It’s true that Kim Tae Hee is in a relationship with Rain. They are just starting out their relationship, getting to know each other better.”

The rep continued, “It’s only been 1 month since they started their relationship, and since they are so well-known celebrities, they are not so free to meet at anytime. Rain's reasonable scathing remark during an audition to 'Be The Star'.

The final qualifying competition of military audition program "Be The Star" was held at KT&G Center in Kanghwa-do last 6th.

Rain who was invited to be a member of the judging panel for military audition program 'Be The Star' for the first time, gave outspoken comments, which made every performer tense.

Rain expressed his opinions "How you seek your own style is crucial. I am inclined to hate imitating the voice of somebody."

Also, he gave tips to Pfc "Yang Ji Hoon" who sang his hit song "How To Avoid The Sun", "Basically, there is nothing "Ji Hoon" can't do. Please don't take my color from my voice. You probably should have performed by concentrating on signing rather than dancing."

Rain serving in the Defense Media Agency, was invited to be a member of the judging panel for the final preliminary round of military audition program 'Be The Star' held at KT andG Center in Kanghwa-do on September 6th.

Unlike Sergeant "Park Hyo Shin and Pfc "Kang Chang Mo", this was the first time for Rain to be a member of the judging panel for 'Be The Star' which started in January. Sergeant "Park Hyo Shin and Pfc "Kang Chang Mo" were also members of the judging panel on this day.
