[Videos] Kangin performs 'Sorry Sorry' and 'A Short Journey' at JinJoo Army Concert
We've seen news and pictures of Super Junior member Kangin active in the army and many army events. Recently pictures of him and Super Junior members surfaced. These pictures were pictures taken during his short vacation after 100 days in the military.
Yesterday, there was an Army concert held in Jin Joo, and Kangin performed in it. Although he performed alone, there were many ELFs who lent him their support as part of the audience. At this concert, he sang Super Junoir's hit song Sorry Sorry as well as A Short Journey, which is one song he sang in that is in the 4th Album, Bonamana.

[News] Shinhwa Eric discharged from military
Boy band Shinhwa member Eric was discharged from the military over the weekend, fulfilling the two-year duty required of all Korean men.
The 31-year-old rapper of the group had served as a public service worker at a military station in Seoul since October 2008.
"A lot of people rooted for me two years ago as well so I thank all of you who came out today. I will work hard to return your support," he said to fans and reporters who had gathered to see him on Saturday.
About 400 fans from several countries including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and Canada showed up to congratulate the pop star for fulfilling his military duties.
He then explained that he is set to appear in an upcoming drama tentatively titled "Poseidon" which will soon go into shoot.
"Poseidon" will be Korea's first TV series on coast guards also starring actor Kim Kang-woo.
Eric, whose real name is Mun Chong-hyok, debuted as a celebrity through his six-member band in 1998 which had been one of the most popular groups in the country and throughout Asia.
He then pursued a career in acting starting in 2003 which has been successful as well, winning him several awards.

[News] Kangin Reunites with Super Junior Members on his Vacation
Super Junior member Kangin who is currently in the army went on his first vacation and reunited with other Super Junior members.
On the 14th, Kangin received a vacation from being in the army for 100days. During his vacation, he met with other Super Junior members. He met with Kangta who's in the same management company and Shin Hyesung near Seoul Hongdae. A person who is close to Kangin said, "he looked healthier than when he entered the army. He was bright and showed confidence about being in the army."
Except for meeting few friends, he spent most of his vacation with his family and returned to the army. A representative of Kangin's managament company revealed, "Kangin's working as a MC in a show at his military camp and is working diligently by using his talent. Since it was his first vacation, he spent his time with family and friends."
Kangin volunteered to go to the army in July.

[News] Rain Might Join Army Next Year
Hallyu star, Rain revealed his future plans today at the press conference for his upcoming drama, “Runaway (Plan B).”
The actor/singer reported that he might join the army next year for mandatory service. He also informed those at the conference that a movie about combat planes will be in the works after the drama series. There are still no exact dates for the movie and army entry.
On the other hand, the upcoming television series, “Runway (Plan B)" starring Rain and Lee Na Young will debut on September 29th.

[News] Say goodbye to MC Mong's 7-year career.
Police have been investigating MC Mong due to suspicion of military enlistment evasion for the past several months. Recently, it has been revealed that during the past 7 years, MC Mong has postponed his enlistment 7 times. MC Mong has been receiving more criticism than ever.
MBC’s “News Desk” stated on the 10th that MC Mong received his first draft statement for active duty in August 1998. Thereafter, MC Mong delayed his enlistment for the next 7 years 7 times. Additionally, at the time, twelve teeth that MC Mong no longer has were reported to be in normal condition.
There were a variety of reasons stated for his seven postponements. A few of these include MC Mong’s application for a Civil Officer Examination, work related training, and qualification examinations.
MBC stated, “During the height of his activities in the media in 2005 and 2007, he postponed in enlistment with the argument of his ongoing Civil Officer Examination Application.” They also revealed he had performances on the day of or the day after the examination.
MBC stated that due to his low scores on his dental health examination in 2004, MC Mong received a military service exemption. However, he is being investigated because of the recent increased suspicion of the possibility that he intentionally removed his teeth.
Representatives of MC Mong are asserting, “There were no medical procedures done in order to illegally receive exemptions. All medical attention was given for legitimate reasons.”
[News] RAIN's military entrance date postponed to next year
Korean superstar Rain will be able to pursue his singing and acting career for several more months following the deferral of his military entrance date to next year.
The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) said late on Thursday that it will push back Rain's military entry to an unspecified date next year from the originally set September 28 of this year.
All Korean men serve two years of mandatory military service, mainly during their early to mid twenties, but Rain, 28, had initially held off serving his military duties to study for a master's degree.
He then submitted an application this May requesting for another postponement for reasons relating to his career. Rain is one of the main stars of upcoming TV series "Domangja s1" set to premiere in late September.
Following the MMA's decision, Rain may appear in one more drama or movie before joining the military next year, according to his agency.
An official with upcoming film "Red Scarf," a remake of the Korean movie of the same name from 1964, had said last month that there is a high chance Rain will play the main character in the story which tells of the life and comradeship of various soldiers.
The movie would mark his second local big screen role, after critically acclaimed director Park Chan-wook's "I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay" while he has also appeared in Hollywood pics "Speed Racer" and "Ninja Assassin."
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, is considered one of the most successful Korean stars in the entertainment business throughout Asia.

[NEWS] A Great idol for the military: Super Junior’s Leeteuk
It has been reported that Super Junior’s leader Leeteuk is going to the military.
In recent variety shows, Leeteuk has talked about his fear of the status of his popularity when he comes back from the military. On the August 2nd show of“ Happy Birthday“, Leeteuk stated:
“Kim Jong-min and Chun Myung-hoon don’t seem to have gained back their popularity completely after returning from the army. I’m worried I’ll go through the same thing when I come back. Kim Jong-min, Chun Myung-hoon, No Yoo-min, Lee Sung-jin and more have not been able to get used to the variety programs. People have been saying that they’re not as good as they used to be.”
Afterwards, Lee Kyung-kyu, the MC, advised him, “Just be more carefree. You work way too hard. On Strong Heart, you work so hard. If you work this hard, you’ll have nothing to do when you come back.”
Fans are saying that he shouldn’t be nervous, because they will never forget the awesome leader for Super Junior.

[news] Lee Dong-gun appointed celebrity military officer
According to Korea's Defense Media Agency on Friday, the actor was recently assigned to the PR department in the agency after receiving five weeks of basic training at Chuncheon's 102 Reserve.
"I am personally honored that I will be able to use my talent in serving the military," the actor was quoted as saying. "I will do my best in my assignments to be of great help to the military such as boosting the morale of military officers and appearing on TV programs."
He will kick off his activities as a celebrity officer tomorrow by appearing in a military-special television show, to be held at Seoul Plaza in front of the city hall.
Lee, who first debuted as a singer in 1998, rose to stardom after starring in TV series "Lovers in Paris" (SBS, 2004) and "Sweet 18" (KBS, 2004). He has also made several big screen appearances including "My Boyfriend is Type B" (2005).
He entered the military on June 15, a day after he announced that he would be enlisting.

[News]Lee Wan to Enter Military Next Week
Korean actor Lee Wan will be joining the army next week to fulfill Korea's two-year mandatory military service, according his agency Logos Film on Tuesday.
Logos announced that the actor will serve in the Korean military for 20 months starting with a five weeks of basic training at Nonsan camp on July 12.
"It seems sudden that I have to enter the military... I am sorry and thankful for the fans that have always shown their love. I will return safely after fulfilling my duties," Lee was quoted as saying.
The actor was looking for a follow-up role before entering the military after starring in drama "Swallow The Sun" but decided to enlist after receiving a draft notice.
Lee Wan, whose real name is Kim Hyung-soo, is the younger brother of top Korean actress Kim Tae-hee. He made his debut in the hit TV series "Stairway to Heaven" in 2003 and has appeared in other dramas including "In-soon is Pretty" and "Let's Go To the Beach."
