Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung received a very special birthday gift.

Girls’ Generation’s fanclub CISTUS decided to perform volunteer service to commemorate Sooyoung’s 23rd birthday on February 10th. (Sooyoung is 22 according to her Western age and is 23 according to her Korean age) Every year, this fanclub has held donation and volunteer service events to celebrate the birthdays of every member of Girls’ Generation.

On February 4th, members of the fanclub visited the “One Love Facility for Young Disabled Kids” in Gwangju, where they volunteered in Sooyoung’s name to clean and look after the kids. They also donated Naver Happy Beans to a children’s organization. (Happy Beans are a charity item within Naver. People who make lots of blog/cafe posts, comments, and email replies are given Happy Beans. They are worth a few hundred won, and can be donated to various charities and foundations.)

In addition, CISTUS congratulated Sooyoung on her birthday by posting an advertisement in Sports Chosun. The advertisement made use of Sooyoung’s comment in a show, where she said, “I’m very envious of Yuri, who is really good at swimming”, and grabbed the readers’ attention by writing, “Until Sooyoung wins a gold medal in swimming, we love you”.

The entire advertisement reads:

“February 10th is ‘The Day of Sooyoung’s Birth’
It’s Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung’s 23rd birthday.
The loving heart
The longing heart
The waiting heart
The pounding heart

An official from her agency stated, “from childhood So Young was outstanding and had a fierce curiosity about instruments“. No longer a member of After School So Young is now committed to acting. She is currently active in the drama ‘The Women of Our Home’ airing on KBS1TV.

SNSD's Sooyoung subtly boasted about her legs.

MBC 'Section TV' recently interviewed SNSD, who made a 'shocking transformation'.

Sooyoung surprised others by transforming perfectly dressing like a man, with member Yuri. She made a witty comment despite her feeling awkward saying, "I feel weird. I'm Soonam."

She was asked a question regarding a photo of herself with her sister, Choi Soojin, who is currently active as a musical actress, about who is superior [in looks]. She stated, "At first, I liked it because my sister is pretty." She made a surprising comment saying, "If my sister joined SNSD, there would have never been a 'pretty legged' group," subtly expressing her confidence in her body.



On this day, the interview went on cheerfully from start to finish, starting off with SNSD members praising Jessica saying, "You're prettier than Krystal." They created an odd scene by continuing to compliment each other on their superior looks, causing laughter on the set.

Meanwhile, the member that made the most shocking transformation was Sunny looking just like Lady Gaga, gaining compliments from present staff members.

Daum Communications (commonly known as Daum) have released a new CF featuring Taeyeon, Seohyun andSooyoung for its recently launched mobile music search service.
In this CF, Taeyeon and Seohyun were in a cafe listening and talking about music they were listening to and Sooyoung successfully found the details of the song through the melody recognition feature of the Daum music search service. She pretended to know details and walked away with the phone when Seohyun and Taeyeon were about to find out why she was looking at her phone.
This new Daum CF will be made available online, on mobile devices as well as being displayed as ‘digital view’ in subways.
Besides enjoying music in cafes using Daum’s smartphone application, the users of the music search service will also be able to easily search for the title of the songs, name of the artists and other relevant details using the melody recognition feature.
