After the rumor of their disbandment, T-Max has confirmed to end their 4-year singing career as a group.

On January 4th, their agency, Planet 905 Entertainment announced that the members decided to go their separate ways and focus on their individual activities such as solo singing careers and acting.

T-Max, which originally composed by Minchul, Kim Joon and Yunhwa, first debuted in 2007 with the single album "Blooming". Yunhwa then left the group to fullfill his mandatory military service and Chanyang and Hanbi joined the group in early 2011.

The group also became a hit after Kim Joon starred in the KBS drama, "Boys Over Flowers" and their OST, “Paradise“, has become a trademark in the industry.

A representative of Planet 905 stated, "Minchuk has established his own record label and has kicked off his music career and Chanyang will also start his solo singing career".

"Kim Joon, who is currently serving in military, Yunhwa and Hanbi will begin their acting careers under the firm", he added.

T-Max rapper and newbie actor Kim Joon (whom you may recall as the “Yo-yo-yo!” bro from Boys Before Flowers) is joining the cast of Serious Crime Squad, the cop drama starring Kim Seung-woo and Song Il-kook. With such big names at the top, I’m betting the still-very-unpolished Kim Joon will have a smallish supporting role, but I do love his character description: a cowardly cop. Ha! Bring it on.

Serious Crime Squad is a procedural police drama that is adopting the ripped-from-the-headlines tactic that has served Law & Order so well for years upon years. Each of the detectives has a distinct personality and the episodes will showcase various investigative techniques. The show is being promoted as “refreshing and satisfying, with a realistic feel.”

Kim Joon’s character is Shin Dong-jin, specializing in cyber-crime investigation. He excels in his field but has an innately timid and fearful personality; the sight of a corpse tends to make him faint, which is, unsurprisingly enough, frowned upon by his colleagues. As such, he’s described as a unique character who’s rather unpredictable.

Sunwoo Sun has also been cast, and for a relative latecomer to the acting scene, she’s proven to be pretty strong with roles as a spoiled chaebol in Queen of Housewives and a spoiled chaebol in Will It Snow For Christmas. Okay, that makes her sound limited in range, but her two characters were pretty disparate in personality, and I think she’d make a kickass cop. Joining her as the other female lead amongst a mostly-male cast is Park Sun-young, who played the feisty (and rabbit-toothed, lol) lawyer in Sons of Sol Pharmacy.

Serious Crime Squad will follow Dream High on Mondays and Tuesdays, and premieres on February 28.

Accusations that the Korean Wave is waning seemed on shaky ground inTokyo on Friday, when a fleet of Korean pop stars hit the stage.

More than 5,000 fans gathered at Tokyo International Forum hall in Chiyoda ward, the heart of Tokyo, for the “K-pop Night in Japan” concert.

The show, organized by Korea Creative Content Agency in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, included a star-studded line of performances, including girl bands 4Minute, Sistar and a boy groups T-Max, ZE:A and Teen Top.

The concert also featured female solo artist Baek Ji-young, G.Na and former member of boy band GOD Son Ho-young, aiming to win the hearts of Japanese fans.

It was promised to be an exciting night as the 5,000 tickets were sold out in just 30 minutes, according to the organization.

First off was ZE:A. The nine-member boy band, who debuted on the Oricon chart at No. 3 with their first album “Nativity” earlier this year, warmed up the fully-packed Tokyo International Forum.

Canadian-born K-pop singer G.NA and the six-member boy band Teen Top, who are both backed by the KCCA as rising stars, continued the excitement, eliciting huge applause.

Four-member boy band T-Max took the stage to sing “Paradise” a song produced for a popular TV drama series “Boys Over Flowers,” to the warm appreciation of the Japanese fans. Local pop diva Back Ji-young also received applause with her single title for KBS drama “Iris.”

The highlight of the night came when 4Minute took the stage. The five-member girl band wrapped up Friday night’s concert with their three singles “Muzik,” “I My Me Mine,” and “First” receiving a standing ovation.

Pundits say Friday night’s concert was clear evidence of a second Korean wave, evolving in a new form, through a younger generation. In the early 2000s, when hallyu started to draw attention from the Japanese media, most fans were middle-aged women. But, now more young Japanese follow Korean pop artists thanks to the recent success of Korean girl groups in Japan.

This year, several Korean girl groups debuted there, including Girls’ Generation and Kara.

Male group T-MAX's Ju Chanyang made a surprise visit to the set of Park Jaebum's movie, 'Hype Nation.'

Ju Chanyang uploaded a picture of him and Jaebum on their official Twitter . In the picture, Jaebum is smiling brightly as he holds up T-MAX's album and poses affectionately with Ju Chanyang.

Their relationship traces back far since Ju Chanyang was the vocal trainer for 2PM's 'I Hate You.' Leader Jaebum and guide Ju Chanyang became a unique friendship since then.

After Jaebum returned to Korea for 'Hype Nation,' Jaebum mentioned to a friend that he 'misses Chanyang,' and so a contact was made.

Every time Jaebum was able to take a break from filming, the two conversed and caught up with one another. Ju Chanyang even presented him with his first debut album as a singer, T-MAX's first album, 'Born to the Max.' They then gave a 'fighting' message of encouragement and promised to meet again.

An associate stated, "Jaebum wasn't able to recognize Ju Chanyang at first since he lost 15kg of weight and transformed into a pretty boy. The two first met in 2008 during 2PM's debut. Meeting again now nearly 2 years later at different stages of their careers, it seems as if they were reminded of old times again."
