2PM’s Nichkhun has escaped the editing cut on the recent episode of MBC’s ‘God of Victory’.

On the September 9th broadcast of the show, Shinhwa and 2PM challenged each other to a game of arm wrestling. Nichkhun, who was reported to be edited out of the show due to his previous DUI car accident, made an unexpected appearance on the show. Despite their initial intent, the production team decided to keep Nichkhun’s footage for the sake of the episode.

In the show, Nichkhun engaged in an arm-wrestling game with Shinhwa’s members Jun Jin, Minwoo and Eric, and successfully won every match. However, by the fourth match Nichkhun was drained out and he couldn’t beat Andy. And since only 4 members of Shinhwa competed against 2PM’s 6 members, 2PM won the match.

2PM’s Nichkhun, who is currently pulling back from all activities to take some time for self reflection, has been spending his time volunteering at a welfare center.

On September 7th, several media outlets reported that Nichkhun recently started doing volunteer work at a welfare facility for children with disabilities located in the Seongbuk district of Seoul. He has been visiting the care center and spending time with the children regularly since two weeks ago.

The singer, who has gone through controversy this summer for driving under the influence of alcohol, was revealed to be taking time self-reflecting while volunteering quietly. He chose to keep his volunteer work a secret as there might be backlash or negative public opinion.

Recently however, the news of Nichkhun’s community service has been spreading through social networking sites. JYP Entertainment revealed that the 2PM member was shocked to find the press had discovered what he had been doing.

Nichkhun has remained quiet, pulling back from all activities to take the time to self-reflect on his actions. Despite the silence, he spoke up for the first time, thanking fans for supporting 2PM all this time.

Joining Nichkhun, fellow 2PM members also tweeted their thanks and appreciation to the fans. We’ll try to encourage ourselves in appreciation of your love. I love you.”

Seoul Central District Court rule on August 30 that the 2PM member was guilty of driving under the influence and colliding with a motorcyclist near Hakdong Intersection in southern Seoul on July 24.

At the time, he was booked without detention when the accident took place around 2:30 a.m.
Nichkhun had a blood alcohol level of 0.056 percent which resulted in his driver’s license being revoked.

“Nichkhun has resolved all matters with the victim and given that his blood alcohol level wasn’t too high, it all ended quite amicably,” a spokesperson for the court told Star News.

Following the catastrophe, the Thai-American K-pop star has been staying out of public’s eye.

Due to the recent controversies surrounding fellow 2PM member Nichkhun, 2PM has decided to delay their comeback on a later date.

After having been involved in a drunk driving accident earlier in the year, popular member Nichkhun has been laying low, taking some time off for self reflection. This has left the rest of the group having to perform as a five-membered group at various events, such as the JYP Nation concerts.

A representative of JYP Entertainment revealed, “Nichkhun is still taking the time to reflect on himself at the dorm. He has feelings of deep regret and is self-reflecting on his actions.”

The rep added that fixed comeback date for 2PM has not been set. However, it does appear that there will be changes to their comeback date.

On August 2, a representative of 2PM’s agency JYP Entertainment stated, “On July 31, Nichkhun and the motorcyclist involved in the accident came to an agreement and made a settlement.”

Despite the two parties having reached a settlement, the rep added, “Nichkhun will still adhere to his original plans and will not be participating in the upcoming ‘JYP Nation’ concert. He has no plans for any activities for the time being either.”

The traffic investigation department at Kangnam Police Station has stated that they have no plans to call Nichkhun in for investigations for the time being.
