X-5 continues to attract attention with their distinct features, tall handsome looks and well defined statures which has earned them the nicknames of 'tall-dols' as well as 'model-dols' . But, their looks aren't everything. In order to show a complete performance with powerful dance moves, they practiced with sand-bags tied to themselves and practiced without hesitation as hard-working idols.

We met up with X-5, who are currently actively promoting their follow up song 'Going Crazy' from their second mini-album, in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul. They seem to have more composure compared to when we first met them after their debut. The X-5 members didn't hesitate to smile and show their natural selves throughout the interview.

“Performing makes us very happy. Compared to the first mini-album promotions, we all feel that we've gained more confidence in ourselves. We still feel nervous as ever when we think about making eye-contact with our fans or staring into the camera but I think that we've learned to enjoy the stage more" (Taefung)

“I think X-5 is constantly happy. I think all the members got brighter in personality during this promotion cycle. I think that pleasant feeling is now visible to others as well. I think I gained more confidence when I hear the words "You guys did a really good job" after the end of the performance" (Zin)

X-5's follow-up song 'Going Crazy' was a co-production between hit Producer Rhymer who produced Mighty Mouth's 'Toktok', T-ara's "TTL" and Producer Master Key who produced Verbal Jint's "You Look Good". As much as the trendy hip-hop rhythm and powerful electronic sound is the point in 'Going Crazy' X-5's stage performance attracts attention with their masculinity and powerful choreography.

"Truthfully saying, comparing the title track 'Dangerous' and 'Going Crazy', 'Going Crazy' suits X-5 better as a group. The choreography is very powerful with some sexy moves which the fans react to well and seem to enjoy it. We think it's because of our tall heights that the powerful song and intense choreography suit us well" (Ghun)

"Truthfully, we thought a lot about whether we were showing too much of a strong image while preparing for this album. We also thought about doing a more bright and lively song but we believe that there is a style that everyone fits. Rather than going with the trends, we wanted to show everyone more of our own color" (Zin)

No matter where X-5 goes, they attract attention. With their exceptional appearances as well, but because of their physical stature of being an average height of 186cm. Even after debut, X-5 was known for their looks rather than their skills, which also caused misconceptions by netizens. "We heard of being kids of rich parents who put us 5 together as idols in a group. We were really hurt because of that. But, because it isn't the truth and we know it isn't, we just passed over things like that." (Ghun)

"We are very thankful for the nicknames 'Tall-dols' 'Model-dols' but we feel as if we're only being judged by our looks which is really disappointing. We want to be recognized for our skills. In order to do so, we'll have to work even harder and show a much better side of us." (Zin)

What could be the most pondered thing by the X-5 members? All of the members answered with one voice. To quickly find a place. Because of the newer rookie-groups that are debuting, which in numbers cannot be counted with our hands, X-5 also seems to have hoobaes even though it hasn't been a year since they have debuted.

"We have this greed to find a place a little quicker. In a blink, it seems, a lot of idols have debuted. But, I believe that working hard is more important than anything. And when we do that, I have this anticipation that our chance will come by also. If you don't give up your dream and continually pursue it, I believe that it'll be fulfilled." (Ghun)

Although their age, personalities, and images differ, they are working towards the same goal and performing together under the name of X-5. "To get the rookie award is every rookie group's dream. But, while performing we realized how hard that is. First, our goal is to let our name be known to the public. Then, we really want to get 1st place within this year."

ZIN (1993.7.20)
In charge of rapping and being the tallest at, 189cm. He asked X-5's Team Leader "What did you think of while picking this team?" probably the first response would have been 'height'. Will there be a group that could be proud of having an average height of 186cm?

HAEWON (1991.6.20)
In charge of Vocals and Emotions. Loves to swim, and plays the drums well.

SULHU (1995.9.7)
His name means "after the snow falls" which compares him to innocence. He is also in charge of rapping. He is a Rank 3 in Happkido and also is in charge of being the Maknae of the group! He is also in charge of washing dishes.

Group X-5 has confidence to make 2012 their year and in order to do so has started to spread out their wings.

X-5 released their mini-album 'Dangerous' last month and is currently promoting with their title track with the same name. 'Dangerous' is a powerful beat dance song which was composed by Ahn Youngmin.

The members said while laughing "We worked together with composer Ahn Youngmin who understand us very well" and "We went through some hardships with choreography, which we constantly switched up, but overall, we were happy to be able to show a good stage".

X-5, who debuted last year, are still rookies who still need to make their name known. Last year was only a warm-up for X-5, and are expecting to take off this year with it being the year of the black dragon.

Zin says "With having only a year of experience, we participated in lots of interesting activities. We are thankful that there are people who listen to our songs, give us presents, and send us fan letters" and "in order to repay that love for us, we will work even harder."

With the recent flood of idols, what makes X-5 unique from the rest. They answered 'their tall height allows them to have a powerful performance'. Member Ghun stated "Our average height is about 186cm. We are taller than any other idol group members" and "Because of our tall heights the choreography might look like nothing but if we do it well, it looks cool. But in order to do so, we also have to practice more"

In addition, Ghun mentioned "There a lots of groups that have a powerful image, but the way you express that powerful image is different for each artist. We'll show a powerful image within our own true colors."

X-5 is an artist under Junjin's agency Open World Entertainment. Junjin, who is a member of the nation's longest group Shinhwa, unsparingly gives advice to the recently debuted X-5 hoobaes. X-5 members all stated that "Junjin sunbae as with the other members of Shinhwa all have that calm composure" and "The sunbaes give us know-hows on how to be a group together as long as Shinhwa. We are really appreciative of it".

According to the members, Junjin's advice to being a long-lived group is to prevent keeping secrets among themselves and to always solve problems as soon as possible. Ghun says "I heard that we could fight due to our different opinions. But it said that only if you take care of the situation then, you would be able to go past 10 years. We also heard that members should work hard to not be like another member."

X-5, who debuted last year, were not able to receive a rookie award. Unlike other awards the rookie award is only able to be received with the year of debut making it very meaningful. Because of it, the members felt very regretful. They had to watch A-Pink, who debuted along with them, take various rookie awards at different award shows. Member Haewon stated that "When A-Pink won the rookie award, it felt similar to something like 'we both entered high school as friends at the same time but they went off to a different university'" and "We were frustrated but it's not the end and we will work harder with no time to hesitate."

X-5's goal for this year is to let their name X-5 be known. Also following that, they want to be 1st on a music program. The members said that "when you search for X-5 a car comes up. Also, another thing that pops up is the name of a chocobar that is primarily sold in the military" and "We'll work hard so that when you search for X-5, we'll be the first thing to pop up instead of a car or a chocobar".

The first time we saw 5-member idol group, X-5, was at last year's music broadcast station. Their first impression was strangely different. Even among many artists, they stood out because of their tall heights.

Leader Ghun (Real name: Son Hyunseok•22) and Haewon (Jung Haewon•20), Taefung (Lee Donghyun•20), Zin (Jin Hyunjin•18), Sulhu (Kim Jinwan•16) make up X-5's average height which is 186cm. This is the tallest group nation-wide. The team's high school student maknae, Sulhu's, height is 188cm, but is worried that he is still growing.

Prior to the interview, X-5 came into the studio for a photo shoot, but their figures walking in made the reporters nervous. It was because their heads were about to hit the top portion of the door. It felt like they were watching school athletics.

Naturally, these guys were nicknamed as 'Model-dol' (Model + Idol). Using their tall height as a weapon, they completed promotions for the debut album 'Xenos' and are now following up with promotions from their first single album 'Dangerous'.

▶ 'Noble-dol . Model-dol' enough!, 'Supreme-dol' oh~ yes!

The main point of the interview was X-5's height. Because (we were) curious about this tall group's difficulties. Out of all of X-5's members, the shortest is Ghun being 183cm.

A different story from X-5's stories is 'Coordi's enviable group'. We asked them about what made them an envious group by their Coordi.

"Really? Because we are tall, no matter what clothes we wear, we will look good in it. I think we have heard sayings like that." (Zin),"The sponsored clothes are short. It didn't fit our body, so we couldn't wear it. So, there is no choice but to design the clothes from scratch. So the cost of the clothes were no wonder (T/N: He meant 'the cost is quite big'). We don't know too much about it but, I think we understand a bit of how basketball players feel and athlete Choi Hongman's sorrow." (Taefung)

-Was it intended to make a group of tall people?

"No. It's not like that. We just happened to come together and it ended up like this. Maknae Sulhu is 188cm tall, but he's still growing. The Coordi as well as the company are worried about him." (Ghun), "When we were young, we were not on the tall side but when we were in high school, we just grew tall." (Zin, Sulhu)

-Have you ever received an offer to model?

"Since the first time I debuted, I received a lot." (Haewon), "Even though it's embarassing, I've been in an advertisement. I showed up shortly on a beverage advertisement, even I cannot spot myself in the advertisement. Haha." (Taefung)

Because of their tall heights, after appearing on music broadcasts they received comments such as 'struggle', 'Seems like they don't have strength'. But these guys had taken martial arts, even passing up to 30 levels.

"We tied sandbags to our hands and legs while practicing. Tall height is an advantage, but it could cause a big problem so we are always careful." (Ghun, Taefung)

▶ We endured hardships at Cheonggye Mountain

X-5 suffered through at the shortest, 1 year of trainee life to the longest, being 4 years of trainee life. It was a long time, but just like other trainees, their main goal was to debut as a singer.

"Starting from our training period, we run up Mt. Cheonggye once a week to exercise. It was first proposed by the CEO, but later on we felt excited climbing the mountain so we climbed up more diligently. Eventually we ran back and forth. Exercising at Mt. Cheonggye not only helped build up our stamina and choreography a lot, but also many other things" (Everyone)

Starting from training period, X-5 has been living together in the dorm. Due to circumstances, the company cannot afford a big house for them to live. The first dorm was so small that the manager couldn't live with together with them. Thanks to the dorm, the five men made many memories together which only they know of.

- How was dorm life?

“The members and manager all have different snoring style. Manager snores prettily. Like 'Eo-eong~'. It's not only once or twice that we woke up because we thought that we heard a woman crying." (Zin), "When Ghun-i hyung hears mosquito sounds, he turns on the light and looks around. He won't sleep until he catches all of the mosquitoes. We use mosquito repellent, but there are times we sprayed it all over the members' face which woke them up. Haha." (Taefung, Sulhu), "We also raise a dog and the name of the dog is 'BoA'. No one knows why the name is BoA. Because (the dog) goes to the bathroom often, it's a job to clean up." (Ghun)

-Don't you practice your choreography or impersonations in the dorm?

"Because we are tall, our hands reach up to the ceiling. There are many constraints while we're practicing." (Haewon)

▶ Our dream is to have a 'solo concert'

X-5 is a group that has outstanding overseas activities as being an artist of 2 years. In 2011, they participated in 'First Open World Festival in Tokyo' along with Junjin, The Boss and other seniors in Tokyo Odaiba Difa Ariake theater, capturing attention from fans. Leader Ghun also progressed to be an active MC on stage.

-How does it feel on stages overseas?

"There are many big stages, and the response was extremely huge too. We were nervous but excited at the same time. We were overflowing with strength. After standing on such a big stage, everyone had thoughts of wanting to being able to put on a solo concert on such big stage." (Everyone)

-How does it feel standing on stage together with Junjin and other senior artists?

"All the members have been fans of Shinhwa ever since we were young. On yesterday's 'KPOPCON' there was an idol group competition to reenact Shinhwa seniors' performance and we got first place." (Zin, Sulhu)

-What advice did Junjin-ssi gave?

"He told us the most important thing on stage is the eyes. We exchanged messages on Kakao Talk with Junjin senior well. Junjin senior, if (you) saw any fun images/videos, please send it often." (Taefung)


▶ "Only chasing after one thing" Style!

In order for X-5 to survive being flooded by the music world, their keyword is to chase after only one thing. During the time they debuted, cute and lively idols such as Jokwon and Nichkhun were the trend. They are sticking to the masculine and powerful/intense color.

X-5 had a chance to cameo on MBC drama 'Miss Ripley'. In the cameo, they got a chance to act out a hug with T-Ara's Jiyeon.

"We were cast for 10 seconds. The members all hugged with Jiyeon senior once. It was an honor but we felt sorry. Because (she) hugged rotatingly between five men, though there is nothing wrong with that, we felt sorry. Haha." (Taefung, Zin)

- Any memories of any fans you remember?

"From our Indonesian fans, there was a fan who fainted when they saw us. We didn't even properly debut in Indonesia, but at that time we felt like Brad Pitt." (Ghun), "I even got slapped. It felt like I got hit with a fly swatter." (Taefung)

- What is your objective/goal as a singer?

When X-5 comes out, I wish they would know who are were as a group" (Ghun), "We want to have many hit songs." (Zin), "We want to surpass the last generation", "If we opened a concert we hope that lots of different people and lots of guys would come. (Haewon, Sulhu)"

- Is there anything you wanted to say in the Interview?

"I want to say sorry to Chaejin from the idol group, MYNAME. Chaejin-ie wrote my name on MYNAME album's 'Thanks to', but I wasn't able to. 'Chaejin-ah sorry'" (Sulhu)

In the end, X-5 left a message for fans, "Even though there was a gap between our promotions in Korea and our promotions overseas, thank you for waiting for us. We'll work hard for our future promotions so let's spend a joyful time together. Thank you. Please always stay by our side."

The truth about X-5's leader Ghun, who got admitted to University in 2009, becoming a PR model was known later than expected.

On the 13th, an online community uploaded picture spreads of where X-5's leader Ghun appeared as a university student on the cover of the book, where his height and good looks were showcased.

X-5's representative said "It seems like the pictures of Ghun before debut as the university's PR model has come out. Seems like his current appearance and that of in the past does not have a big difference." and "X-5's popularity has been much higher ever since the recent single was released."

The netizens also commented, "fresh" "Turns out in my time too, real handsome man.. " "Seems like (he's) really popular" "Really handsome..." "I'll be going to university diligently if I have a senior like him.." etc, on the photo, showcasing their responses.

On another note, X-5 has been completing their comeback promotions for their new song 'Dangerous'.

A) Our title song is 'The Show is Over'. This is a charismatic and powerful song that greets you with a strong beat and performance. In order to portray the charismatic yet powerful concept that has not been shown before, we have really worked hard.

Q) 안무 연습 어떻게 했는지?
Q: How did you practice your choreography?

A) 다리와 팔에 모래주머니를 차고 진짜 힘들게 고생했던 기억이 새록새록 떠오르네요. .
A) I remember constantly putting on sandbags on our arms and legs and really going through hardships.

Q) 연습 중 귀신을 봤다던데?
Q) I heard you saw a ghost while practicing

A) 이 자리에서 귀신을 본 적이 있어요. 처녀 귀신이 저를 잠깐 안고 도망갔다고.. 대박 날 곡인가 생각했었는데 아니더라고요.
A) There's a time where I saw a ghost right here. A young female ghost just hugged me and ran away.. I wondered if it was going to mean that our song was going to be a big hit but it wasn't.

데뷔 5개월 차인 X-5, 아직은 한국보다 해외에서 더 인기가 많다고 합니다.
With only having debuted within 5 months, X-5 has more popularity overseas than in Korea.

Q) 해외에서 인기가 많다던데?
Q) I hear you have a lot of fans overseas?

A) 저희가 신기한 게 한국에서 보다 일본에서 더 잘 알아보세요. 몇 번 일본에서 공연을 했었는데 플래카드가 굉장히 많았어요.
A) The thing that amazes us is that we're more well-known in Japan than Korea. We've performed in Japan a couple times and there were so many placards.

정상에 대한 욕심이 있는 만큼 긴 연습시간에도 지칠 줄 몰랐습니다.
As much greed we have to reach the top, we didn't know that we would get tired of practicing for so long.

다음 날 오후, 청담동 소재의 미용샵에서 장난기 가득한 X-5 멤버들을 볼 수 있었습니다.
We were able to see X-5 again on the afternoon of the next day at their Salon in Chung-dam-dong.

Sulhu: You know about the carrot and the stick right? Right here is the carrot. The 3 outside are the sticks!!

What's a good way to wear clothes?

A) 너무 많은 시도는 안 좋은 것 같아요. 제가 옷을 잘 입기 위해서 깔 맞춤 여러 가지 시도를 했는데. 깔 맞춤이 다가 아닙니다.
A) It's not too good to try a lot of things. In order for me to wear clothes well, I even tried laying out all my clothes and mixed and matched. Mixing and matching clothes is not all to wearing clothes.

Q) 입을 옷 고르는데 얼마나 걸리는지?
How long does it take to pick out your clothes?

A) 아침에 입으려고 하면 시간이 걸리기 때문에.. 하루 전에 생각을 해 놓고 자요. 이미지 트레이닝을!
A) If I try to preparing what I want to wear in the morning, I run out of time so.. I think about what I want to wear the day before and sleep. Image training!

평균 키 185cm를 자랑하는 X-5. 그 중 키가 가장 큰 진 군에게 그 비결을 물어봤습니다.
X-5 brags about their average height of 185cm. We asked the tallest member, Zin, about what the know-how is.

Q) 키가 몇인지?
Q) How tall are you?

A) 189cm요. 잘 먹고 잘 자고 하니까 금방금방 크더라고요.
A) I'm 189cm. I ate and slept well so I seemed to grow really fast.

해외 공연을 위해 공항으로 이동하는 차안에서 X-5 멤버들과 좀 더 솔직한 대화를 나눠 봤는습니다.
We've talked a little more to X-5 in the car, while they were on their way to the airport for their overseas performance.

A) 다들 저라고 하는데.. 저는 그냥 삶의 모습을.. 웃기다고 생각하시는데 건이형도 만만치 않아요.
A) Everyone says it me.. I just say how things are..and they think it's funny but Ghun-i hyung is also talkative.

Q) 카메라 앞에서 다른 멤버?
Q) Member who become different in front of the camera?

A) 카메라가 꺼지면 "일로와", "일로와" .. 카메라 켜지면 막 이렇게 "누구야~ 잘했어" 이러고.
A) When the camera goes off there's someone that says "Come here," "Come here" .. and when the camera goes back on they are like "Who was that~ You did well".

A) I lived in Russia for 7 years. Since I talked to a lot of people there, I seemed to have picked up the language..

중국 광저우의 한 패션쇼에서 축하 공연을 하게 됐다는 X-5 멤버들은 어느 때 보다 들떠 보였습니다.
X-5 seemed really excited that they were going to put on a congratulatory performance in Guangzhou, China for a fashion show.

Group X-5 is emerging as 'Noble-Dol'.

X-5, who is being noticed for their attractively tall heights and defined looks, has revealed their new mini album's jacket photo which is filled with an elegant feel. The concept 'ROYAL BLUE' is directed to an elegant-like ambience.

The members, meeting intense gaze, brought up a mystical feeling. It has only been half a year since their debut for these rookies but they have shown an overflowing charismatic image.

Their agency, Open World Entertainment, confidently stated that "This album has been prepared with hard training. It feels like the members are having a change in their perfect images. You can expect the effort vividly shown in the album."

Today starting with the image, X-5's Dangerous' teaser and music video will be revealed. The song is planned to be revealed on the 8th.

Group X-5 has captivated fangirls' heart with their floral-beauty.

X-5 performed 'Dangerous' on actor Lee Taesung's live broadcast of ChannelA TV's K-POPCON at 10:30PM on the 10th of December.

Upon debuting in the music industry this year, X-5 who has obtained the nickname 'Tall-dol' announced their mini album 'Dangerous' on the 9th. In this album, each of the members' efforts can be felt vividly.

The title song 'Dangerous' has a compelling club sound which shows how one man screams because his heart has been stolen by a woman who already has another man.

On another note, today's K-POPCON performance consisted of Chocolat, Dynamic Duo, Beige, N:Sonic, IU, Park Kiyeong, Cho Kyuchan, Lady Jane, BoM, Noel, X-5, Crispi Cruch, Electroboyz, and Wonder Girls.

The Boss' Karam and X-5's leader Ghun successfully hosted K-Pop Festival X-Mas Edition, which was held in Arina Concert Hall.

K-Pop Festival X-Mas Edition was divided into two parts. The host for the first part was SS501's Park Jung Min, and the second part
was hosted by The Boss' Karam and X-5's Ghun. Karam and Ghun were praised by the staffs of the event because of their fluent Japanese speaking.

The Boss performed 'Love Power', 'Lady' and 'Love parade' on that day, while X-5 performed their new songs on their mini album, 'Do you want to see
me crazy?" and their debut song, 'The show is over'.

Karam and Ghun, who tried hosting event for the first time said "We were very nervous as it was our first time hosting an event.
We luckily didn't make any mistake, but we will continue to improve our hosting skills." They also added "It was a good experience and we want to do our
best again if we get another chance".

Various artists such as X-5, The Boss,Shin Hye Sung, MBLAQ, Infinite, Park Jung Min, Boyfriend, Park Hyun Bin, Code V and other artists on this event.

The Boss will be releasing their 4th Single album on 7th and X-5 will come back with their mini album on 8th December.

The group The BOSS's Karam along with X-5's leader Ghun were chosen to be the MCs at the Yokohama Areana for the K-pop Festival Christmas Edition on the 3rd.

This concert lasted 3 hours which was split into 2 with SS501's Park Jungmin being the MC of part 1 and The BOSS's Karam and X-5's leader Ghun being the MCs of part 2.

The BOSS started off with 'Love Power' along with their Korean song 'Lady' and another of their Japanese songs, 'Love Parade.' Just as much as they have done activities
in Japan, the fans reacted explosively. Their fluent Japanese received lots of attention. X-5 performed a song from their mini album 'Do You Want to See Me Go Crazy' and
their debut song 'Don't Put on a Show'
Karam and Ghun have said, "We were very nervous because it was our first time getting the role of an MC," and "Luckily, we didn't make any mistakes but we still aren't
good enough so we will work just as hard to show a better side of us."

During this performance, Shin Hye Sung, MBLAQ, Infinite, Park Jungmin, Boyfriend, Park Hyunbin, Code V, along with nine others participated.

On the other hand, The BOSS will be releasing their 4th Japanese single on the 7th and X-5 will have a comeback with a new mini album on the 8th [of December].

Amidst light bantering and cheeky teasing, camaraderie shine between Korean bands The Boss and X-5, one of the many examples of senior-junior relationship in the Korean entertainment scene.

The two bands were in town on July 15 to attend Korean Music Wave 2011, this being The Boss' second visit and X-5's maiden trip to Singapore.

Meeting up with the media backstage after their performances, the 10 boys from the same management company were in high spirits, enthused by the fan support they received.

Upon seeing the xinmsn team step into the room, they immediately greeted us with 90-degree bows and synchronized introductions, displaying the well-trained manners of most Korean bands.



The Boss debuted in March 2010 with one Korean mini-album and three Japanese albums under their belt, while X-5 is still considered a rookie group, having only debuted this April.

Korea is known for its strong emphasis on seniority within the society and this is even more prevalent in the entertainment industry. Celebrities caught on camera for using disrespectful language to their seniors have been criticized by ruthless netizens.

When X-5 was questioned on how their seniors treat them, The Boss' Karam purposely put on a serious face and sat in a threatening manner before resuming his bright smile.

X-5's leader Ghun first joked about The Boss not being nice to them, evoking laughter from the other boys. Then he clarified that from the time they were still trainees, they received tips on singing and dancing from the seniors.

He said gratefully, "When we were doing activities in Japan, we received a lot of help and guidance, so we really love them."

However, X-5 member Taefung cheekily added, "Of course they are fierce. They are seniors!"



Considering the youthful image The Boss usually portrays, xinmsn wondered if they are actually more cute than fierce. Ghun quickly answered amidst chuckles, "How can you say that your seniors are cute?"

As for The Boss, leader Mika replied that they are people who practiced singing and dancing together, with Ghun (born in 1989) actually being older than him (born in 1990). Thus, they "are more like friends and brothers", his answer receiving a loud applause.

Who is the naughtiest among the juniors then?

Karam and Injun immediately grabbed Taefung, who was actually standing behind their chairs, by his shirt. He wittily defended himself, "What I do, I learned it from the seniors."

When the bad influence was revealed to be Injun, he protested, "That's not me!"



Korean pop groups usually spend years training for long hours every day, shedding sweat and blood together until they debut, so it is no surprise that The Boss and X-5 share a close friendship despite being in different bands.

On rivalry between the two bands, The Boss frankly replied, "Of course (there is), but we don't think of it as bad animosity. It's more of like if X-5 has more fans, we are going to work harder."



As for jealousy within the band over popularity, Karam's answer of "no such thing" was swiftly shot down by Hyunmin.

He explained, "He's really popular so he doesn't have to worry about that! Personally I do have, even though I am happy to see all the placards. It's a personal motivation though."

It has been a while since we last heard a Korean release from The Boss, with their full group promotion in June last year and unit group Popsicle's promotion this January.

Currently busy on a promo tour in Japan, The Boss urged for fans to wait a little while more and they will return to show a better side of the band.

When the interview concluded, it was another round of bows and loud thank-yous. You have got to hand it to them.

KIMCHI 2011 Event held last night was a blast!
The show was held at Istora Senayan, Jakarta Indonesia on 4th June and the concert turned out as a huge success. The event started around 6:30PM.Before the concert started, the VCR of KIMCHI 2011 was played which brought much cheering by fans.


The first artist to perform is The Boss, as they promised at the Press Conference they performed 5 songs in total, and started their performance with Tokyo Boy and ended up their performance "Biteul Biteul".



The Boss said that it was their first time visiting Indonesia, Indonesia has beautiful sceneries and they were thankful that they can perform in Indonesia.Then they added that Indonesian people are humble. They also said some other sentences in Indonesia such as ,"Aku Cinta Indonesia" which means "I Love Indonesia".




X-5 performed after The Boss. They have performed 3 songs in total. and ended up their performance last with "Don't Show Up". During the last song, "Don't Show Up", X-5's leader, Ghun buttoned off his shirt which caused fangirls to scream.They showed off their language skills by saying "Aku Cinta Fans Indonesia" which means "I Love Indonesian fans".



Girl's Day performed after that. Theyperformed 3 songs in Total including 'Nothing Last Forever', their recent song 'Twinkle Twinkle' and 'How Do I Look'.




Park Jungmin appeared after that!He performed 3 songs too, including his recent song 'Not Alone'. Park Jungmin said that he felt like he's performing at his hometown right now, as fans were so enthusiastic. just like other performers, he said some Indonesian sentences such as "Terima kasih" (Thank You) and "Saya sangat senang bertemu kalian" (I am very pleased to meet you).



And, finally the main artist, Super Junior appearaed! Unfortunately medias were allowed to cover 2 last songs only(Rokkugo and Sorry-Sorry) so we didn't manage to cover 4 other songs ('Miina' , 'No Other' and 2 Songs from Super Junior M, 'Perfection' and 'Super Girl').Super Junior, slipped some Indonesian sentences . Leeteuk said "Assalamualaikum" to greet all the audiences. "Aku Sangat Cinta Kamu" which mean I really Love You". Super Junior also praised indonesian girls,saying that they are pretty,the continued to say "Saya suka Indonesia Gadis" which means "I really like Indonesian girls". Eunhyuk also managed to say his famous line , "You are so Gorgeous, I am so gorgeous".

The concert ended with the choir from korean kids singing "Heal The World" along with the performers.

X-5’s average height is 186cm. They really can be called ‘tall-dols’ and ‘model-dols’. Although the leader, Ghun, is 183cm, he is the shortest in X-5. Ghun laughed and said, “When the members came together at first, they were all tall. They weren’t short and seemed reliable. However, when I stood between them, I looked short. Honestly, I have no choice but to wear slipsoles. If I don’t wear them, the height difference is really noticeable. I’m standing in the middle because of my height, but if I take off my slipsoles, the middle part (T/N: of their line up) will have a dip in it.”


The height of Zin, the tallest, is 189cm. Zin said, “When I was younger, my goal was 184cm, but after growing to 186cm, I thought that I shouldn’t grow any more. But I grew up to 189cm. Because I’m tall, there are times when it becomes uncomfortable to ride a car or airplane. Although it may sound thoughtless to other people, there really are hard times for me.”

X-5, who has quite a lot of fans as they were famous since trainee days, said maturely, “There were a lot of people who came to see us and we thank you very much. We like it to best when they come to see us on stage rather than anything else. We gain more strength when we see people hold up slogans and cheer us on. However, we’d like it if they each were devoted in the things they did like school or work before coming to see us go on stage.”

We hinted to X-5, who seems like they would be quite popular with their good looks and attractive heights, about girlfriends and they gave us the obvious answer of, “We really don’t have one.” They also truthfully said, “The members who had girlfriends naturally broke up with them after coming into the entertainment. We thought that if we go all out for practices and not meet up, that we would start not liking each other. But they understood.” Maybe this is why, but the vocal, Taefung, picked MBC’s ‘We Got Married’ as the program he really wants to do. He revealed, “While watching TV, I imagined about it. If I were there, what would I do. I really want to try it.”

X-5’s first single title song, ‘The Show is Over’ is a song produced by Rhymer with a strong and grand electro hip-hop rhythm standing out. The skilled composers, Won Young Heon and Lee Yo Han wrote the song while Rhymer attached the lyrics to it. It expresses strong sound and a dramatic song about a man’s desperate heart after being betrayed in love.

The X-5 members who have various musicians that they look up to like Billy Joel, Jason Mraz, Kim Bum Soo, Lee Seung Chul, Eminem, and Tiger JK, all agreed up ‘The Show is Over’ when they were picked their title song. The members said, “We and the company agreed on this to be the title song. The company listens a lot to our thoughts and because they’re all experts, we can tune it around a bit while talking.”

X-5 firmly said, “Although there are many musicians we look up to, we don’t want to become ‘the 2nd’ something.” They also revealed their strong ambitions, “Rather than be ‘the 2nd’ someone, we hope that we can be called by our own color and style.”

To the public’s prejudiced idea on ‘idols’, they said, “We think that they have no choice but to think that. It’s the truth that idols have looked like that to the public. However, lately many of those ideas are going away. There are more idols who are outstanding with both skills and looks. We think that if we should a good side to us as well, we can break free of that prejudiced idea. So we are working hard.”

When they said, “Please give us interest and look over us”, we replied, “If you don’t disappear, we’ll look over you guys.” The members then added, “Those words are scary” and laughed. X-5, who showed their greeds such as telling the public about X-5, getting 1st place in a music program, and the newcomer award, requested, “We will do our best to not disappear. Since we’ll always be doing music, make sure to look over us.”

Indonesian promoter, W Productions will bring Super Junior, Girl's Day, Park Jungmin, The Boss and X-5 to Indonesia for performing at "Korean Idols Music Concert Hosted in Indonesia" (KIMCHI). KIMCHI 2011 , will be held on Istora Senayan Saturday, June 4 · 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Answering the request of Indonesian fans, W Productions are proud to present the first Korean Idols Music Concert Hosted in Indonesia, or KIMCHI as we call it.

This is the first event in its class to host five amazing Korean artist in one stage. We have selected the best performers for your enjoyment, ranging from boy band, girl band, to solo singer.

For the main performers, we proudly present SUPER JUNIOR, the multitalented boy band that have won tons of awards and snatched tens of thousands hearts of Indonesian fans.

Following in the lineup, we have one of the highly popular members of SS501, Park Jung Min, shining with his solo performance. Up next, we have The Boss, blowing the audience with their dynamic moves. We did not forget about adding feminine touch, that’s why we bring Girl’s Day, one of the best female dance-singing performers in Korea. Closing the lineup, the last but not least, we present you X-5, the new, mysterious, and fresh Korean boy band.
