Here is the part of of 2NE1's interview with Oricon Style Japan.

ー The relationship between you four is really good and you speak of each other very well.
DARA: It’s always been the four of us together. Though we have this age difference, we communicate well with each other. We fit each other. But during times when we have our own opinion on something and we enforce on it, testing each other’s patience, we go off by ourselves first instead of forcefully imposing. In that way, we get to honestly say what we feel after a time, and we get a better understanding of each other when we then listen to what the others have to say before drawing a conclusion.
ー Maintaining a good relationship with each other by not piling up on stress.
DARA: Though CL is younger, she’s definitely 2NE1′s lader. She has a way of looking at things about 2NE1 objectively. In this sense, the unnies are like the maknaes, and the maknaes like the unnies. Ha ha!
BOM: I really think it’s like that. Ha ha! Although DARA and I are the older unnies, we’re like the kids. While CL and MINZY who think and act older, are like the adults.
ー Especially CL as the leader, has this sense of responsibility, and she has this dignified aura around her. I understand that she has a lot of older female fans. She’s really reliable. Ha ha!
CL: I’m really happy to be told that, although it’s not just me, but all of the 2NE1 members have really matured and can be relied upon. So being the leader, I’m relieved, and I have the confidence to lead knowing of their support.
MINZY: She’s really the leader!
ー Recently during your free time, what do you do?
DARA: I go home and play with my cat, whose getting more and more adorable. It’s getting really cuter each other… Yes, I’m the foolish parent who spoils her kid. Ha ha!
MINZY: I like to watch movies, so I watch movies and then read books. I also have a dog, so I hang out with her.
CL: I don’t really like to go out much. So I stay at home.
ー That’s surprising.
CL: Ha ha! Yes, I’ve heard of rumors that I like to go out to clubs to party, but it’s actually the opposite. I stay at home, listening to music or drawing. Recently, I’ve been addicted to this American sit-com, “Friends,” so I’ve been watching the episodes all over. I don’t usually watch dramas, but I’m drawn to the story about these friends. “Ah, it’s nice~ I really envy them,” I keep thinking.
ー So although it may seem normal to us, it’s not for CL. Not just yourself, but all of 2NE1, they have a different existence since they cannot experience some things freely.
CL: For sure, this is my dream and I am living it now, so I do not have any reason to complain. So I just watch dramas and be satisfied.
BOM: I fall asleep, watching Japanese dramas. Ha ha! But recently, I’ve become a fan of the anime, “One Piece.” I really love Luffy.
ー It seems that Luffy and Bom are alike.
BOM: (beaming smile) I really think that Luffy and I resemble each other whenever I look at him.
ー This is the final question. What challenge would you like to try out this spring?
CL: Swimming. I used to swim before, so I’d like to do it again. Although it does seem a bit different here in Japan from Korea. Ha ha! I also want to go around a vintage shop. I want to buy pants and cut them up myself and make my own jeans… Ah~~ There’s so many things I’d like to do and it’s hard to say them all. Ha ha!
BOM: I want to have an ant-waist!
ー An ant-waist?! Is this a Bom quote???
BOM: This spring, I want to come out and wear short t-shirts, and show my navel. It’s a challenge so I’m going to the gym and exercise.
ー I think that you’re already good as you are, and that an ant-waist is too thin.
BOM: (desperately) No, no, no! I really want to do that! Ha ha!
ー So there’s no way to stop this desire of being beautiful. How about DARA?
DARA: Last year, I started learning how to play the guitar, but I didn’t do so well. When 2NE1 goes on a world tour, I definitely want to be good enough to play!
ー We’ll be looking forward to that!
DARA: .... (in a small voice) I will work hard so I can do it. Ha ha!
MINZY: It’s not just this spring, but I really want to be able to travel the world.
ー Travel around the world with your music, ha ha!
MINZY: I’d like to go to many different countries, bringing 2NE1′s music, and make people all over the world listen to it and make them learn to love it!
BOM: The first step, though, is to make the people in Japan listen to our music. Spring is a season of hope and a start of new beginnings. So if you have trouble in love or in work or in school, come with us and listen to our music, and then take a step forward and gain new courage!

Boy group Big Bang is featured on Oricon Style Japan and their interview from the said magazine has been translated. Check it out below.

Part 1

BIGBANG 『Pressured!? Opening up about their mindset and thoughts on their new album!』

A turning point album for BIGBANG

Q: Before this interview, you were on the Telephone Shockingcorner of ‘Waratte Iitomo’ (Fuji TV). Weren’t you nervous?
V.I: We’ve been on the show ‘Waratte Iitomo!’ before, so we were not that nervous.

Q: Unfortunately, you guys didn’t get the phone strap.

V.I: Yeah. Since we are gyudon (beef bowl) maniacs, we expected the audience to love gyudon too. A little bit disappointing.

Q: Gyudon is everyone’s source of power?
D-LITE: I think if there’s no gyudon, I can’t do anything.
SOL: If there’s no gyudon, activities in Japan...
D-LITE: They will be meaningless. We come to Japan just to eat gyudon.
SOL: Just joking! (laugh)

Q: Let’s end the gyudon story here (laugh). This time, BIGBANG is releasing an album after a year. Please send a message to the fans who had been waiting.

G-DRAGON: A lot of things happened last year. After everything, we were finally able to complete the album. There was also pressure, but each member committed their time while getting ready for this, so I had this deep feeling when it was finally completed. For the fans who had been waiting for us, from now on, we will concentrate on our stage and we want to show all of you our cool images.

D-LITE: Like what G-Dragon said, we went through so many things last year. All the members got through it and we're back as one and completed the album. YG Family staffs also said that so far, this album is the best one. We made the album with confidence while having fun, so we hope that the fans will also enjoy it.

SOL: Releasing the album after everything that happened, it really means a lot for me personally and also for BIGBANG. I think it’s an album that has become our turning point. From now on, our color will become stronger. For fans in Japan, thank you for always waiting for us. We really appreciate it.

V.I: A new album after 1 year.. In a lot of aspects, I think that we've upgraded and grown up. For this album, I think that each member feels so much confident. So I think that this is really the best present to all fans. In the future, we hope to come to Japan more often to do promotions.

T.O.P: Same like the others, I think the album ALIVE shows a new shape of BIGBANG as one. Also, we usually record 1 or 2 Japanese songs per album, but this time we challenged ourselves and recorded many songs. And, we also tried hard to make Japanese lyrics. I hope everyone will have fun listening to the album.

SOL: This time, m-flo’s VERBAL did FANTASTIC BABY’s Japanese lyrics. I think the lyrics harmonize the rhythm of the songe very well.

“ALIVE” represents BIGBANG’s situation.

Q: The title ‘ALIVE’ has a lot of meanings, but this time, what’s the theme or concept that BIGBANG wants to convey?
D-LITE: The meaning of "ALIVE" is "to live" and up until now the frozen things slowly melted down. With that, I hope we’re be able to convey our passion to music and to the stage.

SOL: The first song, INTRO, is a short track but it represents BIGBANG’s situation. In the lyrics, there’s a part that shows how someone is falling down, but it’s simply not like that. It shows a sense of freedom and express the meaning of being "still alive=ALIVE".

The PART2 will be posted soon.

Check out the interview of Oricon Style with girl group After School

An album filled with AFTER SCHOOL’s charms, the 1st Album 『PLAYGIRLZ』 has been released!
E-young: I’m so happy. The things that we couldn’t show until now from AFTERSCHOOL’s charm, we could transmit them in this album!
Nana: Of course you can listen to songs with a different image that we had until now but, in「BROKEN HEART feat. Jung-A, Raina, Nana, E-young」and「Miss Futuristic feat. Kahi, Juyeon, U-ie, Lizzy」, we tried something new and divided into groups of 4 for each song.
Lizzy: It’s not that we changed the way we sing in particular, but instead of when the 8 of us sing together there are more parts where you can hear the voices of each member, you cannot get to know the difference of the individual voices (when we sing as 8 in songs).
Nana: I think that you’ll get a different impression from the AFTERSCHOOL with 8 members.
Raina: Rather than an entirely different feel overall, while there’s something in common you can also tell there’s a difference within our individualities. And I think that picking your favourite song changes depending on your daily mood.
So what’s your favourite song for today’s mood Raina-san?
Raina:「Diva 【Japan Ver.】」I guess. When I listen to「Diva」the song makes me feel good. Today being the first day of promotions, I want to get my tension up.
Lizzy: For me when I listen to「Rip off」I receive a lot of power. It combines pop and fantasticness, it’s perfect to be the opening song of the album.
Raina: For me it’s「Gimme Love」. 10 seconds after the song has begun, the beat makes your feelings rise.
Juyeon: When I listen to「Just in time」I get a lot of power. It’s refreshing, bright and so lovely, I personally love the type of melody of the song that we haven’t had until now.
Jungah: Also「BROKEN HEART feat. Jung-A, Raina, Nana, E-young」I think is a song to get your spirits up.
If you only look at the title of the song, you’d think, “A sad song?” but when you read the lyrics, sentences like <I won’t show no tears> are written.
Juyeon: In this song, we portrayed a woman with strong confidence and honesty. Also, if you listen to「Rambling girls」when you don’t feel confident it might give you some strength! To all the fans, we want to be seen as friends.
That’s exactly part of the charms that everybody says AFTER SCHOOL members have, right?
Nana: That’s right. But, I don’t want to forget about the times when I’m not confident at all.
Juyeon: I want to have a presence that looks cool to everyone, especially to the women that yearn to be like this which makes me happy but, more than this I want to look friendly, I want to have the presence of someone who is your friend.
Jungah: I wonder if we are able to show both of these sides in the album. More than anything else I think that the efforts we do everyday have led to how AFTERSCHOOL are now, and we’ve been able to have half a year of activities in Japan.
Lizzy: Also, about the bonus track, we recorded the song「Shangai Romance」 from the unit that Nana, Raina and I formed named “Orange Caramel”. I think that we offer a cuter view of the world that’s different from AFTERSCHOOL.
Raina: Overall the music can give you confidence since it has meaning inside, listening to this album I want to challenge myself to get courage, dignity and self-confidence.
Lizzy: Since we have the taste of women, we’re especially happy when we receive the empathy of other women who listen to us.
Nana: It’s not that we’re simply strong, there are weak parts and painful feelings drawn too, and this is bounded to our strength. Because we have moments when we don’t want to cry and moments when we are really sad, everybody can relate to this.
Juyeon: Because of this, I think we can share each other’s feelings.
Jungah: There are many new songs inside too, not only the songs, in the DVD I guess you can also feel how much we grew.
Speaking of growing, you also improved your Japanese.
Nana: Speaking is something that’s still difficult to me, but I really got to understand a lot more from listening now.
Then, weren’t there any hard parts during the recording?
All: [Opening their mouths] Yes.
But despite that, it’s fantastic!
Jungah: Of course~ [laughs] I’m joking~ [laughs]
Then, in April you will begin your first tour in Japan 『AFTER SCHOOL First Japan Tour 2012 -PLAYGIRLZ-』 that will be held in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, right?
Nana: In this album, there are a lot of songs we haven’t showcased yet, so I wonder if we will be able to show a new appearance of AFTERSCHOOL to everyone, we’re also so excited for this. The song「Tell me」has a melody that’s easy to remember, so I wish that we’ll be able to sing it along with all our fans live.
Jungah: Speaking of looking forward to… delicious food!
Nana: I’m looking forward to eating debasaki and okonomiyaki! [laughs]
After our last interview, you said you wanted to go to SHIBUYA 109 but…
All: We went~
By the way, you’re also the leaders of fashion, for the fashion this spring, please let us know what are your preferences in colours and other tips.
Raina: Long skirts that flutter.
Juyeon: Pastel tones.
E-young: Headscarves.
Jungah: White T-shirts. I love simple combinations.
Lizzy: Sneakers.
Nana: I guess I love denim for top and bottom wear.
and for last,「Rip off」and「Shampoo 【Japan Ver.】」the lyrics say <if I’m born again> but for instance, if you were born again would there be anything you would like to do? Surprising jobs!? If you were reborn you would be……
Lizzy: I would like to be born the same person I am now.
Raina: I would also be re-born the same as I am now, and I would like to be in AFTERSCHOOL, but if I ended up having another occupation, I would love to be a photographer. Since I love to take landscape photography, I wonder if what I picture is different from what I really see with my eyes? I take photos as much as I can whenever possible and I would love to compile them in a book.
Nana: I’m a model. Since even now I get jobs as a model, there are a lot of hardships too, but I get to wear a lot of fine Western clothes, and what I do gives me more refined moves I guess.
Juyeon: Maybe I would be a fashion designer, or maybe I would run a chicken shop.
This is a big difference (laugh)
Juyeon: I love chicken so, I would become a boss who runs a chicken shop. Of course it would be all about the flavour, but I would hire a lot of cute employees, and I would be known as the woman with the shop of cute chickens [laughs]
E-young: I would be a detective.
All: [laughing out loud]
E-young: I watched the Japanese drama 『33 minutes Detective』 (Fuji TV), and I thought that it would be good if I also became one. But not a stupid and childish detective though, [laughs] I would always come to a conclusion.
then, if E-young were to investigate the AFTER SCHOOL members, who would you keep a track on?
E-young: I guess Lizzy-san and Juyeon-san. [laughs]
Lizzy: Eh? Me? Why? I don’t keep secrets. [laughs]
E-young: Out of all the members these two are really interesting, that’s why if I kept a track on them it would become interesting.
What’s your answer Jungah-san?
Jungah: I would love to become the CEO of AFTER SCHOOL’s company.
All: [laughing out loud]
If you say this, Jungah-san, there are no AFTER SCHOOL members then?
Jungah: Yes. I would become a representative and start building AFTER SCHOOL.
On the contrary, what would the other members think about Jungah becoming the CEO?
Raina: She would be a great CEO!
All: Yes.
It’s good to see that they all agree right?
Jungah: Yes, it really is. [smiles brightly]
Finally if you could become any of the other AFTERSCHOOL members, who would you like to be?
All: [at once] Myself. [laughs]
