South Korean idol group Super Junior’s subgroup Super Junior-M made a “long stay” for two months in Taiwan this year to study Mandarin. They appeared frequently in Taiwan, stimulating sales of their Mandarin album “Perfection”. Adding on the fact that the pronunciation of “too perfect” is similar to that of “Taiwan is beautiful” and “Taiwanese girl”, they sold 60000 copies, becoming the bestselling South Korean artist in Taiwan.

Most popular Korean group SJ, concert tickets on sale today

SJ’s new Korean album “Mr. Simple” was not far behind, selling 45000 copies, taking second place behind the first-placed SJ-M. On February 3, 4, and 5 next year SJ will be holding their concert at Taipei Dome, and the tickets will be going on sale at 1PM today through the 7-11 i-bon system. Korean stars’ albums dominate, top 10 all sold over 10000 copies

Jang Geun Suk released an album after experiencing success in acting. He came to Taiwan in June to hold a fan meeting and sold out both meetings, raking in NTD 26,720,000 (about $883000). With his explosive popularity, his album “The Lounge H Vol. 1” defeated Girls’ Generation, selling 40000 copies, and is the only artist in the top 5 that is not a part of a group. 4th placed Girls’ Generation’s “The Boys” sold 26000 copies.

South Korean boy band CNBlue had a busy schedule this year, and even though they have not been to Taiwan to meet the fans, they still took 5th place with 20000 copies. In addition, Kim Hyunjoong (15000 copies), F.T Island (15000 copies), Big Bang (12000 copies), TVXQ (11000 copies), and f(x) (10000 copies) round up the top ten of the sales chart, selling more than 10000 copies each, proving the Hallyu wave’s popularity.

On the 3rd of March, idol group Super Junior-M went to Shanghai with a new concept, to kick start promotional activities for their new 2nd mini album, Too Perfect. During this special interview, member Kyuhyun introduced the two new members, Eunhyuk and Sungmin, “They joining our group have made this sub-group more perfect, just like our new album title, Too Perfect.” The album also include Love Is Sweet, a song produced by Jay Chou and Fang Wen Shan, which Super Junior-M members added that it was an exceptionally difficult song to sing.

Avoids Talking About Hankyung, Additional Members Makes Super Junior-M More Perfect

After undergoing changes, Super Junior-M is back in the Chinese music industry, with new members like Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Sungmin. Kyuhyun expressed his thoughts about the additional 2 members, “They joining the group have made this sub-unit more perfect, just like our new album name, Too Perfect. Eunhyuk, who is part of the dance and Sungmin, who is part of the singing, have helped us a lot. Member Zhou Mi also added, “I hope Too Perfect is a new start for Super Junior-M.” Indicating that the members are going to move on, and questions regarding Hankyung were already filtered through by staff members before the conference.

The album Too Perfect also includes works from Henry and Zhou Mi. According to Henry, the song Off My Mind was done together with his friend at his university in America, and not only did he composed the song, but wrote the lyrics as well. “Even though my standard of Mandarin isn’t very good, but I tried my best to write this song.” Since the debut of Super Junior-M, Zhou Mi has participated in writing lyrics for every song in all their albums. He said, “I always had a dream, that for every Super Junior-M album, I would have a chance to participate in the producing stage. But now, not only do I write the lyrics, I have also tried composing. I hope I can make better music for everyone to listen.”

Mad Practice Of Mandarin, Confesses That Jay Chou’s Song Is Really Hard To Sing

The album Too Perfect does not only consist of songs written by the members of Super Junior-M, but also Jay Chou – Fang Wen Shan produced, Love Is Sweet. Zhou Mi confessed, “Jay Chou is Henry’s favourite singer, and not only is Henry exceptionally happy, but all 8 of us are honoured. The song is really nice to listen, but the pronunciations are really difficult. The members all tried their best during practice to make sure that our pronunciations are accurate.” Eunhyuk also confessed that the rap in Love Is Sweet “was a really difficult part.” SJ-M also express that they wish to have more opportunities to work with other artists from the industry. Kyuhyun added, “I wish to work with Zhang Hui Mei (A-Mei), and only me and Zhang Hui Mei.”

During the course of recording, Chinese member Zhou Mi was a Mandarin teacher to all of the members. Sungmin said, “This is my first time recording a Chinese song. To get the perfect pronunciations were really difficult, so I learnt from Zhou Mi. For every recording, Zhou Mi will help me. Although it is really difficult, we still managed to finish it in the end.” According to Zhou Mi, who are the most obedient student, and the most playful? “Everyone is really serious, and when you tell them that their pronunciation is wrong, they will change. As for who is most playful, it will be Kyuhyun. Because his pronunciations are really good, there wasn’t a need for me to worry. But on times when I tell him that he is wrong, he will laugh at him and say, ‘Could it be that your pronunciation is wrong?’ In this album, everyone really did well and it was an improvement.”

Siwon’s “Disappearance” Makes Him The ‘Perfect Boyfriend’ To The Members

8 members group of Super Junior-M arrived at the press conference, missing Choi Siwon. Regarding his ‘absence’, the company did not give any reasons, but stated that he will be present on the 5th of March at Super Junior’s concert in Shanghai. The new album name is Too Perfect, and when the members were asked about who is the most perfect boyfriend among the Super Junior-M members, Henry pointed at himself, while Sungmin stood up from his chair, eliciting laughs from everyone. In the end, Kyuhyun decides that, “Since this time, there are only 7 of us here, and Super Junior-M has 8 people, but we are without Siwon, so we will make him the most perfect boyfriend.”

Super Junior’s sub-group Super Junior-M who came to promote their new Mandarin mini-album, held a press conference after reaching Taipei on the 24th. Super Junior-M’s Taiwanese agency, Fulong Agency, also issued a statement in regards to the previous day’s incident where Taiwan concert organizers wanted to file a lawsuit. They expressed that initially, the Korean agency did not directly sign the contract and at that time, the activities in Taiwan were done according to the terms in the contract.

You could say that Super Junior-M’s schedule is filled, although there is one less person. However, when they arrived at the press conference, they were still teasing and singing. Moreover, their record company arranged to have the Japanese LOVE Bunny on stage, in lieu of the Year of the Rabbit. But the LOVE Bunny could have been too nervous and accidentally fell down. Super Junior-M members hurriedly rushed to help it up, and became the lucky “Rabbit Fans.” Siwon, who was a Rabbit**, looked especially happy and revealed that Sungmin’s nickname was “Bunny”. After completing their short half-day promotional activites, Super Junior-M is scheduled to take Flight number BR217 to leave Taiwan at 9.30 AM on the 25th. Two weeks after, Super Junior would hold their third concert tour for 3 days at Taipei Arena.

Korea’s top band Super Junior’s subgroup Super Junior-M, besides holding a press conference on their new album when they visited Taiwan few days ago, their only schedule when they reached Taiwan was to also do an exclusive interview with Hit FM, and they even revealed the inside story of the reason why their new album Too Perfect has a similar pronunciation to Taiwan Girls (Note: Pronunciation in Mandarin= Tai Wan Mei), is because their manager wishes to marry a Taiwan woman.

Members admitted that this song, “Is one of a challenge.” Eunhyuk who is in charge of the rap in this song revealed, “I was so nervous the night before the recording that I had insomnia. Super Junior’s Chinese sub-unit, Super Junior-M (Siwon, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Sungmin, Ryeowook, Kyuhyun, Henry, Zhou Mi) are in Taiwan for their promotional activities for their new album, Too Perfect (太完美).

Arriving in Taiwan on the 24th, Super Junior-M was greeted at the airport by about 300 fans, whom despite the bad weather and rain, flocked the airport to see their idols.

Popular Korean group Super Junior’s sub-group, Super Junior-M (SJ-M) will soon release its new mini-album, along with the addition of two new members. On the evening of February 22nd, SJ-M had a guest appearance on “Music Billboard” in Beijing and held an exclusive interview with Sina Entertainment. They disclosed that their newest style was cooler than their previous one, and had new ideas for the choreography. According to the introduction done by Chinese member Zhou Mi, immediately upon landing SJ-M had rushed for 4 schedules on that day. After that, they had to go for CCTV program rehearsals. Although the 8 members still tried to maintain the professionalism and cooperation required of idols, their faces could not hide their fatigue. The usually idle Donghae had already started swaying, only the most attentive to their image’s Siwon maintained a a smile.
