Netizens love to compare. It's not an assumption but a fact.

A post comparing YG artists' and SM artists' airport fashion has started when the idols recently appeared together at the airport.

Apparently, there was really something distinct to differentiate when the big groups of both agencies appeared on exactly opposite airport fashion.

To point it out, YG artists like 2NE1 and BIG BANG appeared very stylish and fashionable wearing the latest get ups and mostly rather unique. However, SM's Super Junior and SNSD preferred more comfortable and casual clothes but still looked in style.

As for the ladies, it's versus "Sexy and Innocent". 2NE1 girls chose to be sexy while SNSD girls appeared innocent. In particular, Park Bom is wearing shorts and black top that emphasized her curvy body and CL wore a sexy and sophisticated black slit dress. In contrary, Yoona and Seohyun wore comfortable dresses while Yuri enjoyed her simple t-shirt and white khaki pants.

As for the gentlemen, it's very obvious how they were able to carry their agencies' unique trademark when it comes to airport fashion. G-Dragon, who is known for his one of a kind sense of fashion, mixed and matched accessories and clothes to appear stylish and attractive. Same goes with Taeyang, who is rather a head turner with his over-sized white t-shirt with a sort of white "skirt" underneath. On the other hand, Super Junior's Donghae and Kangin didn't even bother to accessorize themselves and hit the airport on their most comfortable and neat look. Wearing simple white sleeveless and white polo shirt, Donghae and Kangin departed for Indonesia that day.

Nevertheless, there's really nothing to battle out. Both agencies have their own styles and loved by media and fans. Whether it doesn't match at all or too comfy for a celebrity's look, they are still being anticipated by fans and especially by media who were always present and claimed it's "worth the wait", just to see artists' 'airport fashion' so that we can have something to talk about.

The talented duo and the winner of SBS’ ‘K-Pop Star 2’, Akdong Musician, finally made its choice between the big 3 agencies and signed with YG Entertainment!

YG Entertainment announced through a press release, “We can’t reveal the specific details of the contract, but we’ve been meeting with Akdong Musician and their parents, and have completed the negotiations for the contract. We plan to formally sign them within a few days.”

Akdong Musician garnered a lot of attention for performing self-composed songs for the ‘K-Pop Star 2’ competition and showing a lot of musical potential despite their young age. The group commented, “We thought that the place that would support our music the best is YG. We want to make better music in a good environment.”

Following the global success of Psy as well as the success of Big Bang’s first world tour last year, YG Entertainment is looking to expand internationally, trusting that China will be the next big market for K-pop.

YG Entertainment stated, “We plan to put more resources and invest more into the Greater China market, which we believe will be the next big market next to Japan. We are currently cooperating with our partners to create a company within the year, in either Beijing or Shanghai.”

The agency predicts that it is still difficult for a record label to turn a profit in the current music scene so they plan to focus on promoting YG artists within the Chinese music market through concerts and other events.

Hollywood stars Will and Jaden Smith showed interest in working with YG Entertainment artists.

On May 7th, Will and Jaden Smith attended the ‘After Earth’ press conference held at the Seoul Yeouido Conrad Hotel. The father and son talked about their new movie as well as their impression on YG Entertainment artists.

When asked about a pledge if ‘After Earth’ become successful, Will Smith answered, “If this movie is successful in Korea, I will perform with Psy. If it’s huge, I’ll release an album with Psy.” Joining the fun, Jaden Smith also promised he’ll also release an album with Big Bang’s G-Dragon if the movie was a success.

Meanwhile, Will and Jaden Smith met up with YG family at the YG headquarters located in Hapjeong on May 6th.

YG Entertainment previously released mysterious “Who’s Next?” teaser with the names of the label’s popular artists who are possibly making a comeback this May. On May 8, the agency released another poster through official blog with a shorter list of candidates.

This time, YG Entertainment has narrowed down the list by fading out some of the names except for Big Bang’s Taeyang, 2NE1, Kang Seung Yoon, CL, and YG’s New Artist. Even the list of possible comebacks have been narrowed down, fans are still having a hard time predicting the artist.

Can you guess “Who’s Next?

Actress Yoo In Na revealed that she trained for 11 years under YG Entertainment.

During the KBS talk show ‘Happy Together 3’ which aired on May 2, Yoo In Na shared she started her training at age 17 at YG Entertainment. “It was for about eleven years,” she added.

“During trainee years, there are in-house auditions. When that happens, the trainees are at risk of being cut. Trainees fall into chaos as some friends lose their position as a trainee at the agency after those auditions.”

Yoo In Na added, “Seeing my longtime friends and trainees walk away or get sent away was extremely difficult. I got down on myself many times. But opportunities come at miraculous times and that’s how I could continue the life as a trainee.”

Known for its vague teasers, YG Entertainment is piquing everyone’s curiousity by unveiling new mysterious teaser!

On May 6th, YG Entertainment updated its Twitter account with short message, “Who’s Next?”, revealing a new teaser image with names of the label’s popular artists printed on it. It also includes the date “2013.05.28” hinting at an artist’s release on May 28th.

It is still unclear which artists under YG Entertainment may be making a comeback or debut, but all will be announced at a later date.

What do you think?

Despite its overwhelming success, Psy’s music video for “Gentleman” has been ruled by the local television station KBS unfit for broadcast. However, YG Entertainment announced that it will not be appealing against its decision.

YG Entertainment expressed, “We expected this kind of ruling so we don’t expect that a repeal will have any significance.” They added, “We accept their decision, and we are cool with it. There’s nothing else we can do at this point, and we will not file an appeal.”

Due to scenes that portray the damage to public property, Psy’s music video for “Gentleman” was deemed unsuitable for broadcast.

YG Entertainment expands globally through closing a deal with Aurora World, an expert in merchandising.

Aurora World will take on new marketing strategies for YG’s international audience.
Even before this, YG has already begun to enter the foreign markets through Psy and 2NE1′s collaboration with the Black Eyed Peas‘ Will.i.am.
With that partnership, we can expect that YG will be more popular in the western part of the world.
