KARA member Gyuri and MBLAQ member Cheondung’s TV series ‘Nailshop Paris’ will be broadcasting overseas to Japan.

The drama, which airs through MBC Queen and MBC Dramanet, will go on air in Japan starting July 14 through Japan’s DATV. The drama will have a total of 12 episodes, two more than its running in Korea, containing undisclosed footage.

Other countries such as China, Philippines and other Asian countries are currently in the works of having this drama broadcasted as well.

KARA’s Park Gyuri participated in the soundtrack for her new drama ‘Nail Salon Paris’.

On May 10th, Gyuri released her latest single titled “I Will Wait for You” for the drama’s Part 1 OST album. The song was composed by Lee Hyun Seung, who also work with Baek Ji Young’s “Don’t Forget Me”.

Meanwhile, Park Gyuri is playing the female lead on the drama ‘Nail Salon Paris’ who will cross-dresses as a boy to work in flower boy nail shop “Paris.

KARA’s Park Gyuri recently shared a photo of herself in a subway.

On May 1, the singer posted the above photo on KARA’s official LINE account and wrote, “Gyuri is on a subway in a very very long time~!” The photo shows Gyuri holding the handle in metro and looking as any other normal college student.

The photo was taken from the shooting of MBC Queen drama ‘Nail Shop Paris’. The scene shows Hong Yeo Joo (Park Gyuri) getting on a subway and chasing after Alex (Jeon Ji Hoo).

The casts of MBC’s new drama ‘Nail Salon Paris’ held a press conference at Seoul Yeoyido IFC mall CGV on April 26. Actor Jun Ji Hoo, who plays one of the main character Alex, talked about the most memorable scenes in the drama.

Jun Ji Hoo shared, “There are many kiss scene with Park Gyuri. So there were many awkward moments.” MC Byeon Woo Min responded, “What’s difficult about the kiss scene? Don’t you just do it?”

The actor explained, “I don’t know how it feels like. It was tough because we didn’t know what level of emotions we should show, but it was great.” Song Jae Rim then added, “There was no kiss scene (with Park Gyuri), but there was a light kiss and physical affection. It was great.”

Kara's Hara expresses her love and support for her fellow member Gyuri on her press conference for ‘Nail Salon Paris‘.

Hara made sure that Gyuri will feel her presence through a rice wreath with a funny caption, “KARA’s Hara. If you see this, text me keke. You who transformed into a boy! Let’s receive an actor’s award! ‘Nail Salon Paris’ hwaiting daebak!”

Hara posted on her twitter account the photo saying, "I tried sending a tribute rice wreath to Gyuri unni keke. I hope ‘Nail Salon Paris’ becomes daebak ♥”

KARA's leader Park Gyuri turned into a handsome man.

Goddess of Kara, Park Gyuri stars in MBC's new drama “Nail Shop Paris” as female lead and her transformation from Goddess to a good looking guy catches attention. She portrays the role of 'Yeoju' who is an online writer but decided to apply to “Nail Shop Paris” and pretends to be a guy as the shop only hires male flowerboys.

Recently, a photo of Gyuri with her co-star Jeon Jihoo was uploaded online. She is seen having a short hair but still looking pretty and handsome at the same time. The Goddess turned into a handsome man.

'Nail Shop Paris' has 10 episodes and it will be aired starting on May 3rd.

KARA just recently won ‘The Most Popular CMA International Group Award’ at the recent 17th China Music Awards. 

Jiyoung, Gyuri, Hara, and Nicole shared their photos in Macau.

PD Kim Gyu Tae a.k.a. 'Image Magician' collaborates with Hallyu girl group KARA.

Kim Ph who is behind the high-rated SBS drama 'That Winter, The Wind Blows' which is stealing viewers' hearts because of his excellent directing, has already revealed that he is preparing a drama for KARA and the anticipation is really high.

According to the representatives from 'TWTWB', the drama will feature one member per episode as heroine. Therefore it'll be a 5-episodial drama. The team is already working on broadcasting companies to have it aired on main channels. It has also plan to air in Japan. Members Gyuri, Hara and Jiyoung are not new to acting but this is the first time that they'll act together.

Republic Agency said, "This 5-episodial drama is an original work from the director. Each episode has its own story line. KARA members are already discussing their acting challenges. The plan is to make it a melodrama however there's no specific details yet."


KARA's fans and everyone should anticipate this as Kim Pd has already built reputation through his  successful dramas like 'Iris','The World That They Live In','A Love To Kill','Padam Padam', and currently 'That Winter, The Wind Blows'.

KARA's leader Gyuri updated her Twitter on 19th March.

She wrote,"KARA's message board to cheer on the filming of Nail Shop Paris, they sent me some rice boxes, including staff members, we had a great meal, will work hard! thank you."

She is seen holding presents from fans.

Netizens commented after seeing the photo,"Did you eat well","Anticipate your drama" and etc.

Meanwhile, Gyuri is busy filming MBC Drama Net "Nail Shop Paris" that will be aired in April.

It’s time for Park Gyuri and ChunDoong to breathe together in a drama.

KARA’s Park Gyuri and MBLAQ’s ChunDoong were cast as the main characters in the recent MBC drama “Nail Shop Paris” (Tentative title).

For Park Gyuri’s case, this drama is legitimately the first step to her debut in acting. In the past, Park Gyuri has made a cameo appearance in “What is Mom” and acted in a Japanese drama “UraKARA” together with members of KARA. However, this is her first time acting as the main character in a drama.

Last year, Chundoong starred in “Padam Padam” as a child actor. At that time, although it was a rather small cast, his beautiful visual has caught many great responses.

“Nail Shop Paris”, which is scheduled to broadcast on March, is expected to hold contents of a beauty shop. Currently, the drama is in the state of finalizing the castings.

KARA's Park Gyuri and MBLAQ's Thunder  got casted as the main lead for the latest MBC Dramanet "Nail Salon Paris".

 For Park Gyuri, this work will be her first step to become a real actress. Before Park Gyuri made an appearance as a cameo in "What is Mom" and show acting skills on Japanese Drama "URAKARA" together with the other members, however as a main lead in a drama this time will be the first.

 Thunder  has made appearance as child actor on last year's "Padam Padam".  It was a short appearance but able to show a big presence and pretty visual.

On another node, "Nail Shop Paris" is scheduled to air on March and planned to centered around a beauty shop. At the present, it's working on finalizing the cast.

On December 23rd, Gyuri held her first solo stage for the track “Daydream” and gave out warm drinks to the fans present.

KARA’s agency revealed, “Park Gyuri performed her solo song, ‘Daydream’ on December 23 on SBS TV’s Inkigayo. It was filmed early in the morning, but many fans of Park Gyuri came to the set to encourage her.”

Touched by her fans’ support, Gyuri surprised the 120 fans that turned out at the venue with warm drinks to expressed her thanks to them. After her performance, the singer also tweeted, “Thanks to you, I was really touched. I was so happy.”

On the show, Gyuri performed her solo track “Daydream”. She appeared on the stage in a gorgeous red dress, giving a sexy, tango-inspired concept. She showed amazing and sophisticated expression and acting throughout the performance, and impressed many fans with her hidden talent.

KARA’s Park Gyuri recently unveiled teaser photos of her solo debut stage, showing her transformation into a sexy tango dancer.

On December 20, KARA’s agency DSP Media released a series of photos via its official Twitter and wrote, “Gyuri as a Goddess of the tango! D-3!” and gave fans excitement over her solo debut.

In the photos, Park Gyuri is showing a gorgeous and alluring look, wearing a scarlet red dress and flower accessory.

Gyuri will be performing her solo track “Daydream” during December 23rd broadcast of SBS ‘Inkigayo.’ The singer plans to put on a performance on a grand scale, adding song and acting together to perfect a musical-like show.

Following the announcement of Jiyoung’s solo debut on SBS TV’s ‘Inkigayo’, fellow KARA members Han Seungyeon and Park Gyuri have announced the dates for their respective solo stage performances.

Both Seungyeon and Gyuri will stand on music show stages to perform their respective solo songs from KARA’s Solo Collection album. Seungyeon will be the first member to have her solo stage where she will perform on MBC’s ‘Music Core’ on December 15th and Gyuri will follow on the 23rd on ‘Inkigayo’.

Seungyeon will transform into a rocker for her “Guilty”, while Gyuri will stand on her solo stage with her tango inspired song “Daydream”.

KARA members Gyuri and Jiyoung celebrated the first snow of the season.

On December 3, Gyuri tweeted a photo of herself with Jiyoung and wrote, “I saw the first snow of the season with Jiyoung~ We were in short dress and ran out in a hurry with just a coat, so you just can’t see what we’re wearing on the bottom… We’re not perverts. Anyways, this is so much fun.”

Gyuri also uploaded more solo photos and wrote, “First snow!!!!!٩(*>_<*)۶ rather than taking picture, I’m running aroundㅜㅜhahaha it’s the snow..” and “A photo of me taking picture hahaha celebrity also stretch their arms to take selca... it’s not just me, everyone does it kekeke.”

Following the first set of music videos featuring Nicole and Goo Hara’s solo tracks, KARA has now unveiled the music videos for Gyuri  and Jiyoung’s tracks from their ‘KARA Solo Collection’ album.


Gyuri’s solo track “Daydream” features a tango-like rhythm and plays out much like a musical number. The music video also stars Jung Seok Won, who plays the lead male character.

Jiyoung’s “Wanna Do” is described as a rock ballad and features Supernova’s Park Geon Il on the music video’s storyline. Seungyeon, on the other hand, will transform into a rockstar for her solo track “Guilty”, the song which will further showcase her individual colors apart from KARA.

KARA's goddess Park Gyu Ri has just made a cameo apperance in sitcom What is Mom. 

Although she only appeared for a few seconds, her appearance garnered much attention  

Gyu Ri  took the role of a gorgeous, stylish lady, who's the new renter of Moon Hee's grandma. With her beautiful look and fashionable style, she attracted every men around. 

 Gyuri's cameo received so many possitive comments. One of the staff shared, "Although her appearance was short, Gyuri still checked everything carefully, from her outfits, hair style and sentences".

Currently, 'What is mom' is broadcasted every monday and tuesday.

Kara’s Gyuri Confessed “I do not dare to have such thoughts about MBLAQ Seungho”

Hallyu popular girl group Kara’s leader Gyuri during Seungho’s dialogue/conversation indirectly reveals her thoughts which becomes a topic.

On MBLAQ Every1’s Idol Manager Episode 10 that is broadcasting on October 19th, MBLAQ member, on the occasion of Seungho & Thunder’s Birthday, MBLAQ G.O, Lee Joon, Mir, and the three female ‘beauties’ (Park Kyung Lim, Kim Sae Rom, Jeon Yul) prepare a surprise birthday party that will be revealed during the episode.

During the broadcast, MBLAQ Seungho’s & Thunder’s birthday, had a surprise prepared with a friend’s phone call in. The beautiful voice of the protagonist that gained MBLAQ’s attention is revealed to be Kara’s Gyuri.

MBLAQ Seungho’s hoobae (junior) at Anyang High School of Arts, Gyuri personally phoned in to celebrate his birthday.

Park Kyung Lim asked about what kind of sunbae Seungho is. Gyuri replied “Male hoobaes (juniors) are a bit afraid of him, however girl hoobaes (juniors) think he is a very nice sunbae (senior).” Park Kyung Lim asked “In your heart, do you have any thoughts about Seungho?”

Gyuri hesitantly replied:  “I would not dare to have such thoughts” “Even after today, will continue to have a good relationship with Oppa/Sunbae that stays by my side” causing a disturbance/commotion at the recording scene.

MBLAQ members due to Gyuri’s statement asked “It’s not a secret code right?” causing laughter.

Seungho & Thunder’s surprise birthday party will be disclosed on Idol Manager’s October  19th 6PM broadcasting.
