Korean actor Lee Hyun Woo participated in one of the soundtracks to his current hit film, ‘Secretly Greatly’.

On June 21, Lee Hyun Woo, who is receiving praise for his strong acting skills and musical talent, released his single titled “Ode to Youth” for the record-breaking film. The song is a folk-rock tune backed by an acoustic band and is dedicated to the youth who live fiercely within the movie.

Kim Soo Hyun does 'gwiyomi' after his new film “Secretly and Greatly” reached 1M views.
He promised his fans that he would perform his version of 'gwiyomi' if over 1 million viewers watched his new movie, “Secretly and Greatly”. To the record, it becomes the fastest film in Korea cinema history to have 1M views.
“Secretly, Greatly”, which stars Kim Soo Hyun, Park Ki Woong, Lee Hyun Woo, and Son Hyun Joo, is a comedy/drama film based on the 2010 spy webtoon series called "Covertness".

Akdong Musician has just unveiled the full music video for “I Love You”, an OST single for the SBS Wed-Thur drama ‘All About My Romance.’

The music video features actor Lee Hyun Woo. The actor was chosen as Akdong Musician’s Soohyun has often mentioned him as her favorite star. The staff asked the actor to appear in the music video, which Lee Hyun Woo easily agreed to.

“I Love You” was released back in April for ‘All About My Romance’ OST. Akdong Musician modified the arrangements and lyrics of the new OST single.

Actor Lee Hyun Woo will be appearing in Akdong Musician’s upcoming music video for “I Love You”, an OST single for the SBS Wed-Thur drama ‘All About My Romance.’

Recently, SBS released still cut from the music video for Akdong Musician’s newest self-composed song. In the music video, Soohyun acts as if she is dating actor Lee Hyun Woo to show the “butterfly-in-stomach” feeling at the start of a relationship.

The actor was chosen as Soohyun has often mentioned him as her favorite star. The staff asked the actor to appear in the music video, which Lee Hyun Woo easily agreed to. The music video will be revealed in early May through SBS.

Actor Lee Hyun Woo has become a star in China!

According to his management Key East, Lee Hyun Woo was featured as the cover model for the December issue of Chinese magazine ‘Trendy’. The magazine introduces the actor as a next-generation Hallyu star. It not only reviews all the drama series he has appeared on but also tells about his career goal and interest.

‘Trendy’ claimed, “Lee Hyun Woo is well known for his drama, ‘Master of Study’ and ‘The Equator Man’. His recent drama series ‘To The Beautiful You’ has drawn much popularity to himself.”

Key East Entertainment also stated, “Lee Hyun Woo is currently very popular in Asia. He attracted over 5,000 people when he had fan meetings in Singapore and Malaysia in October. He is currently garnering interest through his appearances on interviews and broadcast.”

The most buzzed-about upcoming drama, ‘To the Beautiful You’ is back to boost your anticipation with the release of the first preview poster.

The poster showed the main leads of the drama including SHINee’s Minho and f(x)’s Sulli as well as Yoo Min Kyu, Lee Hyun Woo and Seo Jun Young. The cast members are all dressed in comfortable, mute-toned clothes while smiling brightly for the camera.

The first script reading for the much-anticipated SBS upcoming drama, ‘To The Beautiful You’, has taken place.

On July 7th, the cast of ‘To The Beautiful You’ came together and held the first script reading at the SBS Ilsan Production Center. In attendance were lead cast Sulli and Minho alongside Lee Hyun woo, Ki Tae Young, Kwanghee and more.

On this day, Sulli lowered her voice for the reading to match with her male guise character, Koo Jae Hee, while Minho showed his hard working attitude, paying close attention to instructions from the director and writer.

Lee Han Wee and Lee Ah Hyun helped lead their juniors throughout the session as well as brightened up the atmosphere with positive characters.

‘To The Beautiful You’ is the Korean adaptation drama of the popular Japanese comic “Hanazakari no Kimitachi e” also known as “Hana Kimi” and will begin running in August.

Lee Hyun Woo has been officially confirmed to star in the highly anticipated drama ‘To the Beautiful You’ alongside SHINee’s Minho and f(x)’s Sulli.

He will be playing Cha Eun Gyul, a handsome and talented soccer player, who is largely popular to girls, but never been in love before.

Furthermore, Lee Hyun Woo’s character is expected to create a love triangle with Minho and Sulli.

‘To the Beautiful You’ is the Korean remake of Japan’s Hanazakari no Kimitachi e (Hana Kimi) which will be airing this coming August.

SHINee's Minho will portray the role of Kang Taejoon, a high jump gold medalist, who is discouraged after being injured while f(x)'s Sulli as Goo Jaehee who disguises herself as a male and transfers to Taejoon’s school to help him recover for a comeback

After the confirmation of the two idols, Minho and Sulli, it was revealed that actor Lee Hyunwoo will play the role of the second lead actor. Lee is a rising star who is making a successful transition from a child star to an attractive and good adult actor. He was in the Master of Study and the Equator Man.

And a new face who is a rising musical actor (also appeared in some drama and movies) was cast as a sub-main. Kang Haneul as Joo Jicheol, a high jump player in the national team and Taejoon’s rival.

Ki Taeyoung as Jang Minwoo, a mysterious eccentric school nurse who helps Jaehee

Kang Gyeongjoon as a comic and clumsy track-and-field team coach

Lee Young-eun, a teacher of Korean in a triangle relationship with the school nurse and the coach

Lee Hanee, school president with gentle charisma

Lee Hanwee, Taejoon’s father

Lee Ahyun, the dorm supervisor’s mom who knows Jaehee’s secret and helps her 

Ahn Hyegyeong, a sports magazine reporter

Ko Soyoung, head director like Bae Yongjoon in Dream High; her casting made a headline because this is her first TV appearance since her marriage. She’s a top model and star who is now married to Jang Dong-gun, a top star in Korea.

Also, Kim Jiwon (CF model, High Kick 3) as a student in a neighbor school who likes Taejoon, Gwanghee of ZE:A as another dorm supervisor and theater team chief (?) who is adored by everyone as the owner of absolute beauty. L of Infinite may also be cast as one of Taejoon’s friends.

*The cast and character information haven’t been finalized yet, so there might be changes.
