Members of 90s idol groups, H.O.T, Sechskies, g.o.d and NRG have teamed up to form the project group called H.J.g.R and recreated a classic single, “You Can Do It” (May I Love You).

First generation group members Tony An (H.O.T), Moon Hee Jun (H.O.T), Chun Myung Hoon (NRG), Eun Ji Won (Sechskies), and Danny Ahn (g.o.d), who all starring in QTV’s ‘20th Century Boys’, decided to recreate N.R.G’s “You Can Do It”.

Girls’ Generation’s Jessica and Eun Ji Won will be the next guest stars on an upcoming episode of SBS’s ‘Running Man’.

Jessica and Eun Ji Won participated in the ‘Animal Kingdom’ special of the show, which took place at the Everland Resort located in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do on April 2nd.

In the race throughout the ‘animal kingdom’, the two idols joined the ‘Running Man’ team and disguised themselves by donning masks with the animal that suited them. Jessica wore a cute bunny mask and showed an unexpectedly competitive side.

The ‘Animal Kingdom’ special of ‘Running Man’ will air on April 14th at 6:10 PM KST.

Five first generation idols will be reuniting for a new variety show on QTV, ‘Handsome Boys of the 20th Century’.

Recently, a production press conference of new variety show ‘Handsome Boys of the 20th Century’ was held at the COEX MEGABOX, Seoul. The show will be starring H.O.T’s Moon Hee Jun and Tony An, NRG’s Chun Myung Hoon, Sechkies’s Eun Ji Won and g.o.d’s Danny Ahn.

In the show, the five first generation idols will reveal their special memories as the legendary teen stars. The first episode will be aired on April 16th at 9:50pm KST on QTV.

The pressure is on  Eun Ji Won's shoulder as his distant aunt, Park Geun Hye, South Korea's first female president won the election last December.

“I think that I need to become more cautious, but people advise me to act as normal because we’re only distant relatives.” replied the singer to Oh Sang Jin's question about his feeling of being more careful of his behavior. “

Eun Ji Won was SBS' Thank You March 29 episode's guest. Cha In Pyo asked him if his aunt, the president, gave him money.

He replied, “I can't remember any instance that she gave me allowance or Lunar New Year money. I just  usually meet her outside.”

“Till death do us part… through sickness and in health.” were some of the vows that Eun Ji Won and his non-celebrity  wife swore to each other in their wedding in Hawaii on April 2010.

But after two years of keeping the promises, they unfortunately untie their knots. A press release was conducted by Eun Ji Won’s agency saying, “Due to differences in beliefs and personalities, they decided to divorce in August 2012 and make a new beginning alone.”

The agency said that they released the news after 6 months because they want to protect Eun Ji Won’s ex-wife’s privacy.

The agency finalized the press release with this statement, “Eun Ji Won stayed with his parents for a moment, but he is living alone now. He’s preparing for new music releases and broadcast projects.”

KARA member Goo Hara will be doing her first variety show as an MC. 

Goo Hara has tried various things from singing to acting but this will be her first time since debut to MC a variety program. On the 11th, the pilot episode of MBC's variety show called 'Your Angel' will be aired and Hara has been chosen to be one of the MCs of the said show. Along with her are Yoon Dohyun, Tak Jaehoon and Eun Jiwon.

From the name itself, the entertainers will become the 'Angels' of the show and will share their stories along with the viewers.

90s’ group R.ef is finally making a comeback after eight years with their new digital single ‘it’s r.ef’. Released online on September 25, the single consists of two songs, “You Don’t Seem to Know Love” and “Love Formula”.

“You Don’t Seem to Know Love”, which is the title song of the single, features the participation of Eun Ji Won. Eun Ji Won got to know the R.ef members even before he debuted as Sechs Kies in 1997, and took up the offer to feature his voice for the single.

Cable channel tvN’s upcoming sitcom, ‘Respond 1997’ treated the fans with an early glimpse of the series through making-of videos. The clips feature the show’s highlights as well as behind-the-scene footage of the cast members during their filming.

‘Respond 1997’, starring rapper Eun Ji Won, singer Seo In Guk, K-pop idols INFINITE’s Hoya and A Pink’s Eunji, will make its premiere on July 24th. The sitcom is about the story of a group of six high school students that are huge fans of the first generation of Korean idol groups in the 1990s, such as Seotaiji, H.O.T, S.E.S. and Sechs Kies.

Cable channel tvN’s upcoming sitcom, ‘Respond 1997’, unveiled its first still teaser featuring the main cast members. The photo shows rapper Eun Ji Won, singer Seo In Guk, K-pop idols INFINITE’s Hoya and A Pink’s Eunji, all donning their school uniforms with hairstyles or accessories intentionally set up to look like the 1990s fashion trends in Korea.

‘Respond 1997’ is the first project produced by ‘Qualifications of a Man’ PD Shin Won Ho since he transferred over to CJ E&M from KBS. It is about the story of a group of six high school students that are huge fans of the first generation of Korean idol groups in the 1990s, such as Seotaiji, H.O.T, S.E.S. and Sechs Kies.

The sitcom will premiere on July 24th.

Hip hop star Eun Ji Won will be stepping up as a solo emcee for an upcoming TV show for the first time in his life.

Eun will be hosting the new cable reality survival show “Show Me The Money" on his own. “Show Me The Money” is like the survival competition show “I’m a Singer” except for hip hop music. It’s the first hip hop show on this cable channel in about 10 years.

His experience as a leader for the hip hop trio Clover (with Typhoon and Gilmi) should come in handy. He’s also built up his name value as a regular on many variety programs and talk shows in Korea. He’s popular for his honest remarks and witty reactions.

“Show Me The Money” producer Lee Sun Young explained the decision, “Eun Ji Won has a deep knowledge of hip hop music and his experience on many variety programs makes him the right person for the job. We had our first recording on the 12th, and he did even better than expected. Eun was friendly and quick as an MC, fitting the show which goes beyond just introducing music, but also communicating in an entertaining way with the audience in real-time.”

INFINITE’s Hoya and A Pink’s Eunji has been casted in the new tvN sitcom “Respond 1997” alongside singers Seo In Gook and Eun Jiwon.

Having good acting reviews from the KBS drama ‘Love Rain’ airing now on Monday and Tuesday, Seo In Gook got selected again as the main role for the sitcom. INFINITE’s Hoya and A Pink’s Eunji will be joining the popular idol group’s members being ‘Acting-dols’ while Eun Jiwon is expected to show real sitcom acting.

The singers Seo Ingook and Eun Jiwon, A-Pink’s Eunji and Infinite’s Hoya suddenly got casted in the sitcom Shin Wonho PD directs.

Following the broadcast staff, Seo Ingook and Eun Jiwon, Eunji, Hoya, Seong Dongil, got casted in the cable channel tvN’s sitcom ‘Reply 1997(Working title)’ directed by ‘The Qualities of a Man’s Shin Wonho PD.


tvN’s ‘Reply 1997 (Working title) is a sitcom drama depicting the entertainment world in the 90’s. The production crew and the members of the cast are getting known by finishing to read the script in a peaceful mood.



It’s garnering attention among the broadcast representatives as ‘Reply 1997’ is going to be ‘The Qualities of a Man”s Shin Wonho PD’s first work after transfering from KBS to CJ E&M last year. Shin Wonho PD has experienced directing KBS 2TV’s sitcom ‘Old Miss Diary’ with Kim Seokyoon PD, he came back prepared for this work on the foundation of the know-how he accumulated then.




This sitcom is catching the attention because of the star-studded casting it’s going to have as it’s happening in the 90’s entertainment industry.

Eun Ji Won and IU will be narrating a documentary together.

On the upcoming March 3rd broadcast of KBS Radio CoolFM ‘Lee Hyun Woo’s Music Album’, the two will be narrators for the mini-documentary ‘Dream High, Sing Your Dreams.’

This is a special broadcast meant to introduce and bring support for the Korean branch of ‘El Sistema’. ‘El Sistema’ is a Venezuelan outreach program and the Korean branch is called ‘Our Neighborhood Orchestra’, which focuses on teaching music to inner city children who have been exposed to the life of drugs and crime. 

With this broadcast, they hope to encourage a sense of pride and achievement through music, for the 30 elementary school students who will be participating as ‘Our Neighborhood Orchestra.’

Despite their hectic schedules, Eun Ji Won and IU have expressed “We are participating in this broadcast for the sake of the young children who have overcome hardships and have never given up on their dreams of pursuing music.”

The still cuts of new program was released through cable TV MBC Plus Media's blog.

This program is 'Idol in the middle of the night'. In the first photo, it shows DJ DOC member Kim ChangRyul, SS501 member Kim HyungJun, HwangBo, Eun JiWon, Cool member Kim SungSu.

Kim SungSu who had a divorce after 6 years of marriage, gathered much attention. His perm hair and his unique comical expression will make you raise your thumbs up.

And the second photo shows rookie idol Infinite. Fans curiosity was aroused when seeing them dressed in pajamas and kneeling down as if they were being punished.

MBC Plus Media's representative left a message, "Heart throbbing. What is this new concept program about? With the appearance of great guests, it is already gaining much anticipation."

"Idol in the middle of the night" will start airing in end of September.

Star golden bell episode that aired last August 7th has finally have subtitles. On this episode, Shinee Key and Jonghyun, After School Nana, Chae Yeon. Super Junior Shindong, MBLAQ Lee Joon, and 2 ZE:A Members were there.

Mixed with regrets, U-KISS's Dongho spoke "I respected Eun Jiwon a few years back".

Dongho appeared on the August 14th broadcast of KBS 2TV 'Star Golden Bell' with another U-KISS member, Kevin, where they revealed some interesting and funny jokes.

A question "If there is a sunbae that you respect in variety program" was asked, and Dongho answered "I respected Eun Jiwon sunbaenim a few years back."

Hearing this, MC Ji Seok Jin tried to find out the reason. Dongho said, "He was really good in '2 Days 1 Night'. I like Hip-Hop since Eun Jiwon did Hip-Hop." Then, he added, "That's why I respected Eun Jiwon before. But now he didn't do Hip-Hop, and his role in '2 Days 1 Night' wasn’t that great either" which made the audience burst into laughter upon hearing his answer.

On the other hand, Kevin stated that he respected Ji Seok Jin among the seniors in variety show world. He reasoned out his answer smartly, "I'm envy of Ji Seok Jin sunbaenim who has a long career."

Meanwhile, singer Park Mi Kyung, Lee Ji Hye, Homme (Lee Hyun & Chang Min), Miss A (Fei, Suzy) are among the celebrities in this episode.
