Super Junior once again reign their crown as the #1 Kpop group in the Philippines!

Recently, in a popular noon time show in the Philippines called ASAP XV, Super Junior won the POP VIEWERS CHOICE AWARD 2010 for the K-Pop Category. The votes are casted through text votes from October 31-November 17. Battling against Wonder Girls (15.25%), 2NE1 (12.99%) and One Way (10.16%), Super Junior got the highest text votes which is 61.60%. It was Universal Records' General Manager Kathleen Dy-Go who accepted the award at the said event.


Knowing Super Junior, having the biggest fandom in the country, it is not a wonder for them to win the said award. To add more here are some reason why they truly deserve the award.

- Super Junior is the ONLY K-Pop act to have TWO (2) GOLD RECORDS in the Philippines for "Sorry Sorry" and "Bonamana"
- Super Junior is the ONLY K-Pop act to have SIX (6) NUMBER ONE ALBUMS based on record stores' album charts in the Philippines
- Super Junior is the ONLY K-Pop act to have FOUR (4) NUMBER ONE MVs on MYX Countdown. MYX is the number one music channel in the country
- Super Junior is the ONLY K-Pop act to reach the NUMBER ONE SPOT in three of the country's biggest record retail stores' album charts (Astroplus/Astrovision, Odyssey & Music One) SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Even though Super Junior’s latest album BONAMANA was released around two months ago, the craze has yet to die down.

Asian pop superstar group Super Junior’s 4th album BONAMANA is now certified gold in the Philippines after just 10 days of release in the market. Super Junior holds the distinction of being the first, and only, K-POP artist with two gold record albums in the Philippines – first time was for theSorry Sorry album last December 2009, and now the BONAMANA album this July.

BONAMANA albums are enjoying brisk sales in record stores nationwide. In fact, it charted number one in three of the country’s biggest record retail chains simultaneously – Astroplus/Astrovision,Music One & Odyssey (album charts dated June 28 to July 4, 2010).

The album launch event entitled Finding Miina was able to reach the 1 million PHP mark (around $21,612.28 USD) in a span of hours. That’s pretty amazing, isn’t it?

Other than that, Super Junior is also the first, and only, K-Pop artist with five albums that reached number one in the country – Sorry Sorry in September 2009, Super Girl in November 2009, Super Show 2 Live Album in February 2010, Don’t Don in May 2010 and now, BONAMANA this July 2010.

The power of the ELFs in terms of supporting their favorite idol group is really admirable.

Super Junior albums are released in the Philippines by Universal Records, the first record label to release K-Pop albums in the country.

Superstar K-Pop group Super Junior's 4th album "Bonamana" jumped straight to the NUMBER ONE spot in two of the country's biggest record retail chains Astroplus/Astrovision and Music One's album charts (dated June 28 to July 4, 2010).

The success bring the Super Junior's tally of #1 Album to five, a notable achievement for a group whose members have now been reduced to ten persons. Super Junior are FIRST & ONLY K-Pop Group to have FIVE #1 ALBUMS in the Philippines - "Sorry Sorry" in September 2009, "Super Girl" in November 2009, "Super Show 2 Live Album" in February 2010, "Don't Don" in May 2010 and now "Bonamana" in July 2010.

Close to 3,000 Super Junior fans trooped to Astroplus The Block SM North Edsa, Music One Greenbelt and Odyssey SM Megamall last Saturday (July 3rd), some as early as 6:00AM, in order to attend Finding Miina Day, the Bonamana Album Launch Event organized by Universal Records and Super Junior United Philippines and get their advance copies of Super Junior's 4th album "Bonamana" Version A & B and its Freebies. According to one of the record store's personnels, "Bonamana" is also one of their fastest-selling CDs this year. Universal Records confirms this by saying that the sales of "Bonamana" CD has reached the 1 MILLION PESO mark in just 4 HOURS! They also predict "Bonamana" will achieve GOLD RECORD status in less than a month, which will be Super Junior's 2ND GOLD RECORD after "Sorry Sorry"!

"Bonamana" has been the #1 music video on MYX for 6 weeks!

"Bonamana" Version A & B is released nationwide on JULY 9, 2010.

FYI: Super Junior is the ONLY KPop group who made every album released in Philippines topped music sale charts! And their albums are consecutively garnered the highest sales after being released!

Added to that, until now, BONAMANA still unbeatable in MYX Music Charts for 6 weeks in a row!
