It seems like Soomi has been cast in the new MBC drama "Miss Ripley"! After a rumor began a while ago about Soomi being cast in a drama, the official "Miss Ripley" website updated their site today with all of the cast members and included in the cast was Soomi.

Sadly, they used Seeya's Boram for her picture instead of Soomi (fail), but people have already pointed it out to them in ways so it should be changed soon hopefully.

Soomi is playing the role of Jo Eunbum who is "a hotel employee who gets strong in front of the weak fox-like people (T/N: usually towards women who act seductively, fake that they're weak) and shows cuteness towards strong people. She's very vain, jealous, and has a baseless confidence."

You might of noticed how Soomi didn't appear with the rest of 5dolls in "The Greatest Love" where they were all cast, and that's because Soomi wasn't able to be appearing in both dramas at the same time.

The first episode of "Miss Ripley" starts tomorrow on May 30th and includes a wide variety of big name actors and actors from the same company as Soomi.

Soomi is undoubtedly one of the many kpop stars who like selca so much.

I rarely have time to be active on Twitter these days but i still can see Soomi sharing new selcas on Twitter from time to time.

She shared another new set of selcas after finishing her practice a while ago,she must be tired after practicing for long time, but she never forgot to snap a few selcas to share with friends, should we name her as the latest selca queen?

She became SeeYa's maknae in November 2009 and now she's the 10 member hybrid group, Coed and 5dolls' leader.
Soomi's already made her third debut.

- From maknae to leader and debuting many times, what do you thinks the most different thing about it?

"When I was SeeYa's maknae, I always relied on my unnies. And now that I'm a leader, I really feel the pressure and I always get stressed because of it. How to explain this.. I'm always worried about not getting the other members hurt, I see that so I have to work really hard. Thanks to my composer praise (?), 'I got a lot of good ideas because of you,'
it made me really proud. I learn many thing from being a leader."

- Your pictures from when you were a stewardess were revealed and became a hot topic. Why did you decide to be a singer
and do you regret it now?

"Although I became a stewardess, I don't hope to in the future. I watched JYP audition, and I had been chosen for Park Jin Young's "Gifted Development Project 99% Challenge". With being a young age and having to live away from my parents, of course my parents opposed of it. But I thought that one day I can achieve my dream, so I worked hard. While I was preparing to become a stewardess, I learned many things like character education. Right now I'm doing what I always wanted to do, so I don't regret it."

- What music do you often listen to? What is your favorite book? and what are your favorite foods?

"Usually I like to read books that have fiction and mystery in it, and I like criminal related book. I feel sad when I read "Our Happy Time". My heart is touched when I read "Things That Make Me Today". And I always read a positive line from my mother everyday. I listen to the songs in the top 100 chart so I can catch up with nowadays trend. As of lately I'm on diet so I eat salad... in the morning I always eat an apple."

Soomi usually likes to eat pizza, chicken and chips. Soomi said that this year is "5dolls" year, and she hopes
to get a chicken CF so that she can eat chicken again.

Soomi of Coed's female sub-unit, 5dolls, revealed a strong desire.

In a recent interview with Kuki News, Soomi said, "I've debuted three times, but I've never gotten a rookie award. I'm starting to envy the winners," she said.

Soomi joined SeeYa and debuted in November 2009. She took over the place of Nam Gyuri in the group at the time, and it wasn't possible for SeeYa to win a rookie award. After, she became the leader of the mixed group Coed, and now for 5dolls.

Soomi said, "It's my first time being a senior in a rookie group. Each group I've been in, I've tried to improve and show a different look and hopefully be able to win a rookie award. I think of this nowadays whenever I make a mistake on stage. I unconditionally give my best and greatest effort every time."

SeeYa disbanded shortly after Soomi debuted in Coed, and expressed sadness for not being able to take part in the final album.

"It was sad for me not to participate in the last album, since I was busy with my own group activities. In the future I want to be with Boram and Yeonji unnie again. Like in the past during Wonder Woman," Soomi said hopefully.
