2NE1’s CL displays her sexy and fierce charms in her latest pictorial for the July issue of ‘GQ Korea’ magazine.

Taking the concept of “please enjoy it in a bad way”, the baddest female of 2NE1 brings a strong image by posing with boxing gloves and sling shot, as well as her sexy charms as she holds up a stop sign like a ‘round girl’ in the ring.

In the accompanying interview, CL shared, Other than the CL that you see on stage, I would like to present more of the hybrid version of myself as Chae Rin and CL. The bad girl for my concept isn’t a villain but rather it portrays a cool image.”

With the stiff competition heating up the music charts, Lee Hyori has something to say to her rivals, B2ST and 2NE1’s CL.

On May 29, Lee Hyori jokingly tweeted, “CL, bad girl~ Your senior was trying to be number one, but you won’t come down~ And then there’s B2ST pre-releasing a song now, you bad kids.”

Lee Hyori, who has been dominating the music scene with her latest title song “Bad Girl”, experienced a drop in the chart with her juniors 2NE1 CL’s solo debut project “The Baddest Female” and B2ST’s pre-released track “Will You Be Okay” released at the same time as her competition.

On May 28th at 12PM KST, CL dropped her first solo single “The Baddest Female” and with only 3 hours after its release, the single topped the real-time charts of online music websites including Mnet, Bugs, Melon, Naver Music, Olleh Music, Monkey 3, and Soribada, achieving a proud all-kill.

“The Baddest Female” is based on a very slow beat but mixed with some new sounds that will go well with CL’s rap. CL will kick off her first solo promotions starting on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ this weekend.

On May 28th, 2013, CL, leader of popular Korean pop group 2NE1, released her first solo single, “THE BADDEST FEMALE”. The wait is finally over! 2NE1’s CL becomes “The Baddest Female” as she unleashes her solo debut project.

On May 28th, CL released her first solo single “The Baddest Female” with its music video that boasts participations from Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Taeyang, Teddy, Choi 37 and Master Wu. The song’s title which is also one of CL’s catchphrases, shows off strong impression as much as CL’s charisma and force.

“The Baddest Female” is based on a very slow beat but mixed with some new sounds that will go well with CL’s rap. The song fully shows her exceptional musical talent as she manages both rapping and singing parts.

YG Entertainment’s official YG Life Blog has recently started a countdown timer on their site, ticking until the release of 2NE1 CL’s highly anticipated music video for solo debut project, “The Baddest Female”.

The timer also includes new teaser image showing the star of the night, CL, who is walking on the red carpet surrounded by bunch of photographers and reporters.

In everyone's surprise, the facade of YG Building projected various images and logos signaling CL's much anticipated solo debut release. Fans were amazed with the preparation and got overly excited to see what will happen next.

Counting down to the release of CL's solo debut single 'The Baddest Female', YG revealed a teaser photo showing CL in a group shot with people who will presumably participate on her single.

Fans are quick to point out Choice 37, Teddy, Model Seo Woo Tak, Masta Wu, Monster Woo on the teaser. Taeyang and G-Dragon who were reported to appear on her MV are also seen on the teaser photo.

2NE1’s CL has officially changed the English title of her solo debut song to “The Baddest Female”.

YG Entertainment announced on May 23, “The track was previously called ‘Bad Girl’ but CL suggested that we change the title to ‘The Baddest Female’ and that became our final decision.”

“The Baddest Female” is a title that shows off strong impression as much as CL’s charisma and force. It is also one of CL’s catchphrases, which is widely recognized among fans.

When the reporter asked if Lee Hyori’s new song “Bad Girls” was a factor in the name change, YG Entertainment denied it and revealed that the title “Bad Girl” was decided a long time ago.

The song will be based on a very slow beat but mixed with some new sounds that will go well with CL’s rap. CL recently went to Japan and received some personal lessons to effectively liven the choreography. She also participated in meetings to coordinate clothing and the studio concept.

After the revelation of 'Who's next?' last May 15, CL as the big reveal has wrapped up shooting her music video for her solo debut on May 17.  
"They shot at Namyangju, Gyeonggi from May 15 to 16. CL was guided by Yang Hyun Suk and Producer Teddy." Director Seo Hyun Seung directed the music video.

After much teasing, YG Entertainment finally unveiled “Who’s Next?” -- with 2NE1’s CL making a debut as a soloist.

On May 15, YG Entertainment released the last “Who’s Next?” poster, announcing the release of CL’s first solo single in two weeks on May 28.

Park Bom from 2NE1 has released “You And I” and “Don’t Cry” as solo, and Sandara also has released her solo song “Kiss” as well. However, the leader CL and Minzy still have not released a single song by themselves yet. Therefore, fans are eagerly waiting to see CL’s first solo project.

YG Entertainment previously released mysterious “Who’s Next?” teaser with the names of the label’s popular artists who are possibly making a comeback this May. On May 13, the agency released another poster through official blog with an even shorter list of candidates!

The poster blacked out all the other artists except for 2NE1 and CL, hinting at the possible 2NE1’s anticipated comeback or CL solo debut.

If you may recall, CL revealed in an interview with Billboard that 2NE1 plans to release a new album this summer. However, she also added that she is preparing her debut solo album.
