Shinhwa's Andy Lee revealed a shocking confession.

Shinhwa member Andy proclaimed that he doesn't watch himself on TV. During an interview with MyDaily, Andy revealed that whenever he watches TV and sees himself on it, he will immediately switch the channel as he doesn't watch himself when he is on TV. This garners attention as he is totally different from other actors and idols who watch themselves on TV to monitor themselves and to improve their skills as well.

What do you think his reason is for not watching himself on TV?

Legendary group Shinhwa, who’s celebrating their 15th anniversary in the industry, is gearing up for a comeback with their 11th album this May. The group began unveiling individual member teasers, starting with Jun Jin and Andy.

Along with the teaser photos, Shinhwa Company official Youtbe released a special behind-the-scenes video of Shinhwa’s album jacket shoot. It features famous photographer Joh Sun Hee, who worked for the group’s comeback concept.

Recently, Shinhwa’s Andy appeared as a guest on MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ and made the ambiguous remark, revealing that a girl group member is interested in dating Teen Top’s Niel. Though he did not reveal the girl’s identity, he did say that her name begins with the letter “S” and is affiliated with JYP Entertainment.

Many people started getting curious about who the “Miss S” is, and as Sohee’s name started getting talked about, she firmly refused it for herself. One of her fans asked on Twitter, “Are you the Miss S?” and Sohee firmly replied, “No.”

Andy also apologized for causing this controversy on his official homepage. He wrote, “I’m sincerely apologize for causing many people trouble. I’ll be more careful on broadcast from now on. I’m sorry.”

Teen Top member Chunji is a fan of Shinhwa's Shin Hyesung and not their company’s president Andy Lee.

Teen Top just had their comeback with their first full length album after 2 years and 7 months in entertainment industry. Recently, Teen Top was on KBS Cool FM Hong Jingkyung ‘2 o clock’ radio show and member Chunji had a revelation. The group is under  T.O.P Media which is founded by Shinhwa's Andy. During the broadcast, Chunji revealed that he is a fan of Shinhwa's Hyesung instead of Andy who is the president of their company.


Meanwhile, Teen Top is busy promoting their title track 'Miss Right'.

Shinhwa’s Andy recently released his solo digital single titled “You & Me” in light of his recent birthday talk concert ‘Happy Andy’s Day’. The singer has now revealed the full music video for the track.

“You & Me” is a medium tempo ballad perfect for the cold winter season. The song also features the members of his own group 100%’s Minwoo and Rokhyun.

Shinhwa’s Andy celebrated his birthday by spending a memorable time with his fans.

On January 20, a day head of his birthday, Andy held a fan meeting under the title of ‘Happy ANDY's DAY! Talk Concert’ at Baekam Art Hall in Samsungdong, Seoul. He also prepared special segments and had a great time with his fans through different games, talks and events.

Rookie group 100%, which belongs to the agency headed by Andy himself, also appeared and prepared some gifts for Andy too such as preparing a rolling paper as well as presented a coupon that granted his wishes.

Andy also treated fans to a sneak peak of his new single “You & Me” which features 100%’s Min Woo and Rok Hyun and was officially released the next day.

Andy’s phobia of snakes has struck from the onset of the Year of the Snake.


On the 6th Jan episode of jTBC’s ‘Shinhwa Broadcast’, snake trainer Lee Dong Hee, along with 50 snakes, was invited to the show in a special ‘Taming your pet snake’ New Year special.

Andy, who already has a phobia of reptiles to begin with, upon hearing that snakes would be present for the recording, became nervous and immediately geared himself up with a mask and gloves. As rare snakes and large snakes began to make their appearance, unlike the other members who were intrigued, Andy was petrified and hid behind. Shin Hyesung quipped, “It feels like only 5 of us are recording today.”


Even as the other members tried to get Andy to just touch the snake with his gloved fingertips, he broke out in cold sweat as he battled his fear of snakes.

Following Teen Top, Shinhwa’s Andy has unveiled his second idol group called ‘100%’.

On June 12th, Andy along with Teen Top and 100% attended the press conference for their new joint SBS MTV program, “Teen Top’s Let’s Rise 100% – Issues and Wars”.

During the event, Andy said, “I hope the rookie group, 100%, will mature and grow as much as Shinhwa. I hope they will never break up for 14 years and build up a tight friendship.”

Set to debut in August, 100% consists of seven members including Minwoo, Rocky, Jonghwan, Chanyong, Changbum, Hyukjin and Sanghoon. They plan to stand out from other boy groups by being centered around their vocal skills and have strong performances.

Togther with their seniors Teen Top, “Teen Top’s Let’s Rise 100% – Issues and Wars” will show the boys of 100% undergoing various missions as they strive to make a name in the industry ahead of their debut.

The youngest member Andy has betrayed his own group Shinhwa by becoming a member of SHINee.

In the June 9th broadcast of jTBC’s “Shinhwa Broadcast”, Shinhwa and SHINee will compete against each other for the second half of “Guest Channel – Shinhwa & SHINee”.

On last week’s episode, Shinhwa and SHINee competed on badminton and vaulting races, in which Shinhwa stole SHINee’s Taemin while SHINee stole Shinhwa’s Andy. For the third competition is the fierce ‘King chicken fight’ game.

King chicken fight is about defeating King chicken and Andy who was in SHINee team shouted out to his former members, “I will defeat all Shinhwa members by myself!” and lead SHINee team.

Prior to their long-awaited comeback, the longest-running idol group Shinhwa has been releasing series of teasers, boosting up anticipation. Few hours ahead of the big day, Shinhwa unveiled the last batch of teaser images featuring members Hyesung and Andy.

Continuing the previous concerpt, the two members can be seen wearing blood orange suits with black top hats. Both Hyesung and Andy have put on make-up to accentuate their eyes and pale their lips for the modern day vampire look.

In addition, Shinhwa also released two new videos on its official Youtube channel. The video features behind-the-scene footage from the music video filming for title track "Venus".

Meanwhile, Shinhwa will be dropping their 10th album "The Return" on March 23.

Shinhwa's Andy has revealed that he didn’t always have a comfortable life, even as he performed in Korea with his fellow band members in the 1990s.

His mother’s health declined during that time, causing great financial strain, the singer revealed on the second-part of a KBS special on Shinhwa that aired March 20.

“My mother got sick during the band’s fourth album release, and I had to go back to the States,” said Andy, who is American. “When I came back to Korea to make some money for her treatment, I had to live alone at a gosiwon.”

Gosiwon are small, one-room apartments designed for students who are studying for exams.

Andy particularly lamented that his style had to suffer during that time.

“I had no money to get a haircut so I had long hair and I avoided people,” he said. “Every night, I had a bottle of soju and aspirin in order to fall asleep.”

After the program, netizens, usually quick to voice strong opinions, seemed to be puzzled by the revelation. “Why didn’t his fellow band members help him out?” several asked.

Idol group TEEN TOP made SHINHWA’s Andy shed tears.

As the creator and producer of TEEN TOP, after they had won 1st place on the 3rd at KBS ‘Music Bank’ and on the 5th at SBS ‘Inkigayo’, Andy was really touched and had shed tears.

In a recent interview with OSEN, TEEN TOP said “It’s our first 1st place since our debut a year and a half ago. Andy hyung said at the after party “This is only the beginning”. After that we heard that he had cried while watching the broadcast”

Niel shared "We have been practising really hard so we were really happy to win 1st place. When they announced the 1st place we were in shock, but to think about it when we first received the song ‘Crazy’ we thought that it will be a winning song because it’s originally good”

Belonging to the club music genre and produced by the Brave Brothers, ‘Crazy’ showcased TEEN TOP’s transformation filled with overflowing masculinity, which has become a really hot topic.

Group Teen Top member LJoe revealed a friendly selca with Andy.

The atmosphere of this photo changed 180 degrees from the previous photo of Niel receiving punishment from Andy by raising his two hands above his head. Teen Top reported about the heart-warming atmosphere through me2day today 9th of January, ‘Appearing on Idol Athletics Competition with Andy Hyung ke Taking selcas during break time ke It’s an even more enjoyable time as we’re able to be in the same team as hyung!! Ke I’m the best ke.’

Andy from the star singing group Shinhwa held the fan meeting entitled "Promise" at Yamano Hall in Tokyo, Japan on December 18, and it was his first fan meeting since he was discharged from the army. Andy met his fans in Japan after one year and eleven months, and he greeted his fans by singing his representative song entitled "Your Love". His fans enthusiastically responded to his song to celebrate his comeback.


Andy, who was discharged from the army on October 31, talked about the stories of what happened in the army such as marching for 40 kilometers, and his fans could satisfy their curiosity about his life in the army while enjoying listening to his stories. He said, "I gave my locker in the army in which I personally put the photos of Girls Generation to the actor Yoo Geon in the army".





In addition, he presented his excellent skill at shooting by demonstrating it on the stage, which made the audience surprised. Andy revealed that the group members of Shinhwa began to practice dancing to begin their activities from next year, and they will soon begin recording their new album. After his first solo fan meeting in Taiwan, Shinhwa member Andy successfully kicked off first fan meeting in Japan since being discharged from the army.

On December 18th, Andy held his fan meeting titled "Promise" at the Yamano Hall, which he was greeted by 700 enthusiastic audience. The singer remarked, "I’m pleased to see you. I’ve always wanted to come to Japan."

Andy put up a passionate performance of his hit songs, "Crush", "Love Song" and "Propose". Fans listened and participated intently during various events including handshakes with fans, games and quizzes. He also talked about his military service and impressed the fans by showing off his marksmanship through a shooting game.

He caused laughs by saying, "I handed my locker, on which Girls’ Generation’s picture was put, over to actor Yoo Geon."

He also talked about Shinhwa’s comeback next year and revealed, "Our six members have been rehearsing dances. We’ll lead our activities to prove why Shinhwa is legend."

Concluding the event, Andy stated, "Today, I made a great memories. From now on, I won’t ever leave your side. Andy and Shinhwa will soon be unveiling a stunning promotions."
