From the only Chinese member in Super Junior, the top boy band of Korea, that has many fans around the world including Thailand, today this handsome guy “Hangeng” is back again with the new role of becoming solo artist. He debuted with his first solo album ‘GengXin’ (Hangeng’s heart) which is a masterpiece work that he has put a lot of effort into it. After the breaking news about him filed a lawsuit against his previous company due to the unfair contract and limited conditions spread out, he has lived under pressure at that time.
“Work and family are my happiness” Hangeng siad to us. So this will be the only answer that why he chose to continue fighting though he had to face many problems. This time Hangeng came to visit Thailand again and held “2010 Han Geng Asia Tour Fan Meeing in Bangkok” in October 9 and also gave us an arrangement to have an exclusive interview which if it was before, we would not be able to have a private talk with him like this. Hangeng did not only welcome us on first meet with smile on his cheerful face, he had revealed a lot of story and his thoughts in every subject we asked with relax.
“Spend more time with family”
After he left his home country and family to debut as a Korean singer for many years, today he was happier that he had a chance to move back to China, his motherland, again. “Now, my works are at Beijing. After finished my work, I would go home. I’ve got to spend time with my family and talk to them more. In every festival we can be together, sometimes, I would take my mom to go shopping for her clothes. (Smiled)” Now he has not only open a restaurant and a spa for his parents to run but also has saved up and managed all the money he earned by himself in every month to support his family and give some to his parents every month. “When I was young, my parents worked hard in order to get money to pay for my education. So now I’m working hard for my parents to live more comfortably.
“I’m a quiet person, my true self is not different from what you’ve seen in television”
“My true self I am is the same as what everyone sees in television. I’m simple and easy person. Normally, I like to stay home and watch TV and play games. I dress simply and when I go hangout with my friend most of the tim , we would go drinking tea and talking, or something like that. (laugh)” Hangeng revealed his own life style to us. “My group of friend is my friends that we have known each other for 10 years. I’m a quiet person so my friends are also quiet (laugh)”
“Vacation trip at Samui Island”
Beside form the love of calmness and tranquility, Hangeng also loves to travel and rest in oversea countries. The last vacation trip he took was at Samui Island before coming to meet Thai fans in his fan meeting. “ I just went to Samui and I felt so comfort and relax (Smile). I stayed in the hotel all day (Laugh) and swam, played card games, drank wine and relaxed at the beach, I like to stay at tranquil place” Hangeng revealed that this is not his first vacation trip in Thailand because he has gone to Phuket Island one time with his friends.
“Most women like to have her boyfriend next to her”
Now there are a lot of woman who wants to fill in an application to be the one who got to take care of his heart, but now a handsome and popular guy like Hangeng still didn’t want anyone to take that place because he has no time. ““Most women like to have her boyfriend next to her all the time but now I have so many works that I have no time at all. So I don’t have time to be with my girlfriend for sure. Personally, I like quiet girl who doesn’t like to have anyone beside and talk to her all the time. (Smile) No need to say in words but use feelings to communicate because I’m not talkative person myself” Hangeng talked about his past love that “ Before love is so beautiful (Laugh). Before this when I had a lover and we just got to go out for dinner together, watch movie together and hold hand each other are enough for me to be happy”
“When I go around, I would wear just a hat”
With his popularity now, of course, Hangeng would not be able to walk around without people noticing him and staring at him. However, for him he didn’t think that this is a trouble or feel awkward. “Whenever I want to go anywhere, I can still go. I don’t need to cover myself and wear dark eye glasses like that. Basically, I would just wear a hat though there are people who recognized me but the they didn’t come to disturb me.”
“Gossip rumor is just a joke”
A lot of artist in entertainment circle don’t think that gossip news on newspaper, magazine or internet is funny, but for Hangeng, he saw gossip rumor as normal like a joke that we can just read through it. “ I have a friend to is a man and he is a dancer. One time he was with his girlfriend and my house and his house are not far from each other. On that day it happened that the water system at his house had some problem so I asked them to come and use my bathroom but there was someone took a picture of us and cut my friend off, left only me and a woman so the gossip news spread. They even said that my friend is my manager which he is not (Laugh)” He also added “I didn’t think of them much because I understand that they have to do it for their work but I just hope that my friends know that I’m not that kind of person is enough”
“If I’m not a singer, I would be a dance teacher and opened a dance school”
“I started learning dancing since I was 12. So most of my time when I was young was gone with my dance practice. Now I miss my time when I was a kid too. At that time I got to practice with my friends for 6 years, I had to wake up at 5 A.M. and went for running, at 6 o’ clock I had to practice Kang-Fu (martial art) and then practiced dancing, I did like this every day” Hangeng talked back to his past “I didn’t think that I will be a star at first because I didn’t like to sing. I just started to learn how to sing in 2003” But when we asked that whether he would like to go back and be just an ordinary person or not, a man whom all the girls around Asia fell in love with said that “Um..if I was not a star, maybe I would. If so, now I would be running a dance school which is one of my dreams”
“Now my dream is to be a good actor”
Hangeng reveal his future plan in next year that “Next year, I will have my new album, concert and also a movie. After this I want to introduce new works for everyone” Beside from his works with show events, now Hangeng is really busy with a big project of his new movie that he is casted together with Barnie Hsu and Wu Chun. “Before I dreamed of being a dance teacher but time passed and now I want to be a good actor, to produce good works for everyone to see”
“Thank to Thai fans that still support me and my work”
“I like Thailand a lot. Coming to Thailand this time is different from the previous times because I come here solo and bring my new album for everyone. I also have a chance to meet my fans and got to be close to them.” Hangeng talked about his feelings for Thai fans who still love and support him always that “I want to thank my Thai fans that though I have not been here for a long time but everyone still supports me and pay attention to my work still. After this I hope to give you guys more work and even better ones for my fans.”
