Miss A maknae member Suzy's past is garnering a lot of interest and is being called a "Cinderella Story".

Suzy's family owns a small eatery in Gwangju. Suzy's family is only small and simple consisting of her mother, father and 2 other sisters. Even if Suzy was just from a small family, she was popular in their town because of her good looks and talent, thus her story of her fame becomes a popular Cinderella story among fans.

She was born in 1994 and has 2 other sisters, her parents own a small eatery and she has been staying home and school receiving no special lessons while she was very young. But despite being from a small family, she has been popular around Usandong in Gwangju because of her good looks and impressive dancing skills. She was not a stranger around their place, and not long she became an interest in Mnet's "Superstar K" where she auditioned.



Han Su Jeong from JYP Entertainment who was in charge of publicity and promotions said, "We send managers to look for potential trainees, and we go as far as Gwangju to look for talents. When Suzy auditioned for Superstar K, the manager saw her and told her that she had potential to be a trainee while she was on her way to the bathroom." Su Jeong then further said, "We did not realize at that time that she was a part of a family that owned a small eatery. She had a bright personality and even if her family was not rich it can be seen that she has been greatly loved by her parents while she grew."

Meanwhile, Suzy's "Cinderella Story" is being said to be similar to Lee Hyori's past, Lee Hyori in her earlier days with FIN K.L. was known to be the "barbers daughter". She was raised very well despite being not well off, and she was able to achieve her dream like a story from a movie.



Suzy is part of Miss A who are steadily gaining much popularity for their debut track "Bad Girl Good Girl" and their latest track "Breathe". A lot are pointing a lot of similarities to her and Lee Hyori especially their image and feminine charm also being popular among male fans.

Her agency said, "Suzy's parents actively supported her, she is very close to her parents and always prioritizes them and her family. She said that her success is her special gift to her parents and she will work hard for her parents."
