Teenage singer IU has released her second album with 13 songs, exactly one year after her hit song "Good Day" took the K-pop market by storm.
"It'd be difficult to be seen fresh as I was a year ago, but I can confidently say that this new album is a better effort along similar lines," the 18-year-old said.
On the day of the nationwide university entrance examination, IU instead took part in a photo shoot for the album cover. "How much can a university education do for my music career?" she asked.
Her management agency claims IU is in fact being wooed by several prestigious universities for their special admissions program. "People go to university in order to learn to do what they want to do," a defiant IU said. "But I'm already doing it. I will face music squarely, just like I have been doing since I was in middle school."
