[News] CNBLUE celebrates comeback with a showcase
K-Pop rock band CNBLUE finally made their comeback with the release of their third mini-album, "EAR FUN"!
On March 26th, CNBLUE gathered for a showcase in celebration of their comeback at Seoul’s L-Tower marking their return to Korea’s music scene after a year.
CNBLUE opened up the event with a performance of "I Still Love You", the self-composed acoustic song by member Jung YongHwa. It then followed with "In My Head" and its title song "Hey You."
They began by expressing their excitement over their return, with leader YongHwa stating, "It’s our first Korean comeback in nearly a year, and it’s hard to believe that we’ve just been focusing on our international schedules during that time. It was a blissful one year for us."
He continued, "When we think back to our 'Loner' days we really had no fear and didn’t focus on anything else and just had fun, and were happy doing music. So I told our members for this album let’s put our focus back to having no fear like our Lonerdays."
Jonghyun said, "Day by day, it gets harder as there’s more pressure. It’s still great, though, because it makes us work that much harder and prepare more thoroughly."
On the band’s future, YongHwa revealed, "This album was meant to protect CNBLUE’s color, but starting with our next, there will be a big transformation. After the promotions for this album end, we’re going to take a few months to figure out what direction we want to go in."
CNBLUE plans to promote their new album for only one month as members Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jong Hyun have been cast in their respective dramas. The short period of promotion as a band will be a slight downside to fans who have waited for them so long.
