[NEWS] 2PM delights 26,000 fans with High Touch event in Osaka
2PM conducted a high touch event on June 9th especially for those who purchased 2PM’s 4th single “Beautiful.” It was held in Osaka for the first time and delighted a total of 26,000 fans.
Their single “Beautiful” that was released on June 6 is currently being promoted as the theme song for TVCM’s Korean Black Vinegar Fucho, which the members themselves appear in. Since its release, it continues to stay in the 2nd spot on the Oricon daily single ranking and will certainly sell the most albums so far in the history of 2PM.
In December of 2011, 2PM held a high touch event at Chiba Prefecture’s Makuhari Messe Hall where 63,000 people attended, proving 2PM's high popularity in Japan. Having been half a year since then and being their first high touch event in Osaka, excitement and tension rose at the venue before the start of the event.
Loud cheers sounded as the members appeared at INTEX Osaka Hall 5 AB in Osaka Prefecture. First, 2PM members greeted everyone. They commented, “Hello, we are 2PM,” “Thank you to everyone who came today,” “It’s been a long time since we’ve seen all of you in Osaka,” to the increasingly enthusiastic crowd, as even more came to the high touch grounds.
The high touch event was conducted by separating the members into 6 booths and lining up the fans for each accordingly. In response to the cheering, they attempted communication by smiling and waving their hands, etc. 26,000 people participated at the high touch event targeted for those who purchased the 4th single “Beautiful” for approximately three and a half hours, the never ending cheers from start to finish showing that it was a huge success right up until the end.
The next high touch event is planned to be held on June 16th in Chiba Prefecture at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9-10.
2PM expressed, “We would like to thank you all, as a lot of people came today even though it’s our first high touch event in Osaka. Let's continue to make beautiful memories from now on!”
