Big Bang successfully completes solo concert in London

Hallyu group Big Bang successfully finished their first solo concert in London.

Big Bang kicked off their concerts at the London Wembley Arena on December 14 and 15 as part of their world tour titled, ‘Alive Galaxy Tour 2012’, drawing over 24,000 VIPs. The group was the first Korean singing group to hold concerts at the prestigious venue where famous pop artists, The Beatles, Abba and Beyoncé have held their concerts.

Big Bang were originally planning to hold just one concert on December 15 but thanks to many fans’ great support, they added another show on the 14th. The worldwide popularity of Big Bang was also confirmed when they won the ‘Worldwide Act’ accolade at last year’s ‘2011 MTV Europe Music Awards’.

They started their tour in Seoul in March, and they performed in Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, America, Peru and England so far. Not only did they have the highest number of performances, the tickets for all of their concerts were sold out.

Meanwhile, Big Bang will hold more concerts at the Fukuoka Dome in Japan on December 22, at the Kyocera Dome in Japan on January 12 and 13, and at the Gymnastics Stadium in the Olympic Park in Korea from January 25 to 27.
