[News] Kim Hyun Joong signs with Japan Universal Music


Kim Hyun Joong recently signed contract with Japan's Universal Music.

In a press release on November 10th, KEYEAST agency stated that Kim Hyun Joong signed with Universal Music to support him with his singing activities in Japan including promoting albums and managing tours.

Universal Music explained, "We were impressed with Kim's Japan showcase in July, and with unrivaled appeal that can'y be seen in Korean idol groups, we believe he'll be successful as a solo artist in Japan."

Other Korean artists under the Universal Music are Girls Generation, KARA, B2ST, 4minute and Supernova.

Kim Hyun Joong, leader of the group SS501, started his solo singing career with his first mini album "Break Down" released in June of this year. He is now currently promoting his second mini album "Lucky" and will kick off his Japan tour starting next week.
