FTISLAND and CNBLUE will be holding a concert in LA with the help of a giant American entertainment company. AEG will be supporting FTISLAND and CNBLUE’s live concert to be held on March 9 in LA’s Nokia Theatre, a venue which could accommodate 5,000 seats.
The concert was made possible when AEG agreed to co-produce a concert that CJ E&M’s global concert brand M-Live had planned. It will be the first Korean concert abroad that was able to bring in the participation of a global entertainment group.
AEG is one of the biggest entertainment groups in America, even owning branches in Europe and China. It boasts access to more than 100 concert venues and manages approximately 55 sports teams. It produces more than 6,200 projects every year in sports and live entertainment such as America’s biggest rock festival in Coachella and concerts for Bon Jovi, Justin Timberlake and Usher.
For the M-Live LA concert, AEG provided the Nokia Theatre and took charge of overseas promotions through its global network. Thanks to this support, ticket sales for the FTISLAND andCNBLUE concert are thriving among local American fans. The concert is expected to earn a profit exclusively through ticket sales without sponsor support.
A representative from CJ E&M’s M-Live said, “Many Korean agencies have complained about the lack of local information and trustworthy partners. Our success in bringing in a large overseas group is the first in Korea and this partnership will make the world look at K-Pop with a new perspective and also it will bring up the quality of the concerts.”
