YG Entertainment recently made a surprise announcement, revealing that Lee Hi will be releasing her second single on November 22. Today, it’s been revealed that the single was composed by JYP Entertainment’s Park Jin Young.
On November 21, YG Entertainment announced that Lee Hi’s second single will be a ballad composed by hit singer-producer Park Jin Young, who served as the rookie singer’s mentor during ‘K-Pop Star’.
As Park Jin Young didn’t personally write the songs for JYP Entertainment’s rookies Park Ji Min and Baek Ah Yeon’s debut, Lee Hi becomes the first ‘K-Pop Star’ contestant to sing a song composed by him.
Officials from YG said that the firm is not able to provide further information because CEO Yang Hyun Suk has been handling everything covertly regarding Lee Hi’s upcoming single.
The officials also added, “Lee Hi’s new single will no flashy music video, dancers or outfits and will only focus on unique voice color and vocals.”
