MBC ‘Sunday Sunday Night – Danbi’ will be ending with the last broadcast on the 15th.
From the appearance of top stars that don’t come on variety shows to the volunteering work at locations overseas, the variety show ‘Danbi’ fell into danger when the re-contract with their sponsor failed. However, there was a chance of revival when different companies showed interest to sponsor the program.
A staff mentioned, “I know that there are actually 2 different corporations that are directly showing interests in the sponsoring currently.”
To this, Kim Younghee CP stated, “As soon as another sponsor is set, during the fall time with the programs get a renovation, ‘Danbi’ will be shown again at different time.” They also added, “If a specific sponsor isn’t chosen, then the show will just be taken down.”
Meanwhile, a staff on the ‘Danbi’ team stated, “All the stars are very disappointed about the ending. Especially because we all suffered together overseas, seeing sights that we weren’t supposed to. Because of that, our bond is even stronger. There is a lot of sadness. Soon we will have a farewell meeting and celebrate all the hard work everyone has put in.”
