On the 18th of October, KBS has made a regulation that they will be monitoring the costume and choreography of girl group's especially with members who are minors to regulate them on sexy costumes and suggestive dance moves.
It was revealed that KBS took the first step on the regulation on Music Bank and also raising the viewer age limit from 12 years old and above to 15 years old and above.
On the 22nd of October episode of Music Bank, it seems that the regulation has started to take effect. Girl Group Rainbow was seen on a tight blue dress with a shiny black jacket exposing very little skin on their outfits. NS YoonJi, a solo singer also showed little skin and wore jacket and leggings. Nine Muses also had a more conservative outfit wearing black outfits and leggings.
An official from KBS Music Bank said, "The crew has began to check on the clothes of the girl group's carefully before the show started. They have been spending a lot of attention monitoring the girl group's who are going to perform. They check on the outfits most especially and any too revealing clothes will be restrained."
Following KBS "Music Bank", MBC with "Music Core" and SBS "Inkigayo" are also going to follow the regulations on their respective shows. On how long this trend will continue it is gaining attention but the regulation is seen to be effective.
