그룹 비스트가 ‘MTV 월드 스테이지’에 한국 대표 아티스트로 참가한다.
21일 소속사는 비스트가 세계적인 아티스트들이 참여하는 초대형 뮤직 페스티벌 MTV ‘월드 스테이지 라이브 인 말레이시아 2011 (WSLIM 2011)’무대에 오를 한국 대표 아티스트로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
이에 따라 비스트는 다음 달 24일 오후 8시(한국시간 9시) 말레이시아 샤알람 아이시티(i-City)에서 열리는 ‘MTV 월드 스테이지’ 본무대에 올라 화려한 퍼포먼스를 선보이게 된다.
이 날 공연에는 비스트 외에 2010 ‘MTV 비디오 뮤직 어워드’에서 뮤즈를 제치고 ‘최고 록 비디오상’을 수상한 ‘써티 세컨즈 투 마스(Thirty Seconds To Mars)’등 세계적인 인기를 끌고 있는 뮤지션들이 대거 오를 예정이다.
이번 ‘WSLIM 2011’에 한국 가수 중 유일하게 초청된 ‘비스트’는 지난해 ‘원더걸스’에 이어 두 번째로 ‘WSLIM’ 본 공연의 무대에 오른다. 이날 공연은 전 세계 160여 개국, 6억여 가구의 시청자들이 볼 것으로 추산된다.

BEAST, the only Korean group invited, is the second Korean group to perform on 'WSLIM' after Wonder Girls last year. The show will be aired in 160 different countries and there will be an estimated 600 000 000 viewers around the world.
BEAST, who is officially kicking off their 'Bad Girl; promotions in Japan starting on the 21st, will start their Asia fanmeet tour in Malaysia starting July 1st.
