[News] Infinite’s L’s Japanese drama ranks 1st on audience rating

Infinite’s L plays the main role in Japanese drama, Ji Woo: The special criminal investigation section of National police agency.

On July 29, the drama’s first episode was aired. Even though it is a Friday night drama, the audience rating was 9.4% for the first episode. Then it ranked 1st among the other night programs.

Some people say that the high rate is driven by Infinite’s L. Yomiuri, major Japanese newspaper, reported L’s interview and his drama.

During the interview, L said, “This is my first drama and I’m trying my best. Everything and every moment is very special. I’m trying hard to show people nice performance. I’m strong because I usually practiced dance moves 15 hours per day.”

Original sound tracks from L’s drama are also ranking 1st. If the new Korean Wave star Infinite starts being active in Japan, more and more people will watch his drama.

In the drama, L plays the main character, Ji Woo, who has blond hair. Major media bannered the news that L was cast to the main role in the drama. Also, one of Japanese programs produced a special program to introduce Infinite’s L.

People responded, “I want to watch the drama,” “I’m looking forward to his performance,” “Even the first episode is so popular.”

Meanwhile, L is keeping busy, shooting the drama and performing Infinite’s title track.
