[News] YG Entertainment to debut new girl and boy groups next year
One of the top agencies, YG Entertainment revealed that they have a girl and boy group waiting for debut next year.
On a press conference held to address the label's listing on the independent Korean stock market, KOSDAQ (Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations), YGE's CEO Yang Hyun Suk confirmed plans to continue the next generation of Big Bang and 2NE1 through the debut of two new groups.
According to the CEO, there are currently 32 trainees. A new female group, made up trainees all under the age of 20, will be making their debut in the early half of next year. Their new boy group, however, will be revealed in the second half of 2012.
Yang Hyun Suk also revealed the plan on opening at least two more offices in China region. Like the joint venture "YGEX" with Japanese music label AVEX, YGE is gearing up for a bigger overseas business units.
