Key East Entertainment’s manager charged with rape
A manager at Key East Entertainment, which manages famous actors such as Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Hyun Joong, is being investigated in six cases of rape.
Seoul’s Gangnam Police Agency revealed on October 25 it had arrested the 24-year old manager, Mr. Lee, on charges of sexual assault. Mr. Lee sexually assaulted six women in Busan and Seoul from November 2011 to last month.
The investigation by the police revealed up to six women so far, in their 20s through 30s, have been victims with many of them being assaulted and raped in their own homes after being followed by Mr. Lee. He was also arrested on September 16 for raping a woman after following her into her home in Cheongdam-dong, southern Seoul.
A Key East representative expressed, “We are in the process of confirming the facts behind this. But we are unable to get in touch with the manager in question now and can’t say anything more.”
They stressed, “This matter is totally unrelated to Kim Soo Hyun. We were quite surprised because Kim Soo Hyun has been mentioned. The manager in question isn’t Kim Soo Hyun’s main manager since our celebrities are managed by many managers.”
