On December 28th, TGN Entertainment's 24-member rookie group Leader'S held their debut showcase which ended up a disaster. A showcase is usually a first-meeting between media sources and new groups. However, instead of creating a striking first impression, reporters left the scene clearly disappointed.
During the showcase, the debut of Leader'S ended up being a scheme to attract investment opportunities for the coffee franchise "Scentimor". All the media outlets, who gathered for the showcase, were instead met with all the promotions for the business, erupting verbal fights in the event.
Not only that, the organizers failed to consider the equipments Leader'S would need for their showcase. The girls ended up in lip-synching and dancing without any spotlights.
Due to the disastrous showcase and some negative reports, TGN Entertainment and Leader'S apologized for the mishap.
Leader'S stated, "We did not pick the right event company to hold the event. Due to a lack of experience we admit that we had problems with the event. Leader’S wanted to do very well and also did their best despite the dire situation. We hope that you will forgive our mistakes with a big heart, please keep watching us."
TGN Entertainment expressed, "We would like to express our apologies towards the reporters that were disrespected by the staff of coffee franchise ‘Scentimor’. We would like to accept full responsibility for giving the franchise control over the event."
The agency continued, "Leader'S worked hard with the situation they were given, and they are at no fault. We are worried that their image will be harmed for something they were not responsible for. We ask that you please forgive the mistakes made on this day."
